What would you do if you saw a face from the past, a dead face from the past?
Thomas Cade has a new desk and a new job as he starts his Private Investigator business.
His first client, Ashley Fisher, TV News Anchor at KTKR TV swears she’s being stalked and mentally tortured by memories from her past.
It’s a past she thought she’d put behind her, but now starts to doubt her own sanity.
Is she imagining it?
Is someone out to terrorise her or play sick mind games…or worse?
With the police unwilling to help, she turns to Cade as her final hope.
However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when another grisly murder shocks Cade and Ashley, leaving Cade to re-evaluate everything he thought he knew about the case.
Crime Never Pays… Well yes and no depending on what side of the fence you’re on!
I’ve always had a strong passion for whodunnits, crime series, and books. The more I immersed myself in it, the stronger the fascination grew.
In my spare time, you’ll find me in the gym, reading, binge watching Netflix or taking walks in the forest.
Oh, and I’m an avid people watcher, I just love to watch people, their mannerisms, and their way of expressing their thoughts… weird I know, but I could spend hours doing that. It's funny, because watching people often gives me insights and inspiration for describing human interaction in my books.
Fun fact: My favourite, bestest place ever on earth? Any of the Florida theme parks and the mad coasters out there. Add the food, shopping and weather, and you've got the best place on earth... especially when I see the joy on the faces of my family when we're out there :)
Weird fact: Spending an afternoon in a mortuary to bring my books to life. Oops! poor choice of words there :)
This was an interesting story with a mad man who is doing terrible things but also who was treated so awful you have be sorry for the child he was. He keeps one jump ahead of Cade through most of the story until the end. It is interesting to see the thought process Cade goes through to solve this case. The twists, turns and surprises keeps the reader on the edge of his seat. There are many intense moments that also keep the pages turning. I look forward to many more adventures with Thomas Cane.
For some reason, I particularly like books with stalkers, so, in addition to all the amazing action and high-quality entertainment, I got a stalked news anchor \0/
I really enjoyed it, and, as always, Tomas Cade is a great character, now as a PI.
