When tragedy strikes, Jack and Jessie turn to each other in a time of confusion and heartbreak. The flames between them continue to rage, adding a complexity to their relationship that neither of them quite knows how to handle...or resist.
Jack makes concessions in order to keep Jessie in his life and in his bed, but he’s holding back. He’s not sure he can follow through on the commitment that she needs. Jessie struggles to overcome her insecurities when Jack’s past won’t leave them alone.
Just when it seems that they might finally be on the same page, old doubts surface, making them question whether or not they can ever make it work.
An unexpected separation forces them both to contemplate a world without the other, and a secret between them threatens to tear them apart- this time for good.
Where there’s fire, something always gets consumed... This story contains sexually explicit scenes and is intended only for readers 18+ who enjoy erotic, no-rules love stories. It is the third book in the Wrecked Hearts series.
Gabrielle Gibson spends most of her free time writing sexy love stories about difficult relationships and the redemption of damaged and dark hearts. She is committed to leading the broken characters that live in her head out of the darkness and into the light. She’s a self-described entertainment junkie with an affinity for 80s music, especially hair metal. She lives in southern Maryland with her sexy rocker husband, lover and best friend, Bob. He continually inspires her obsession with the alpha male.
This guy is an alcoholic sex addict with daddy issues. He’s his father, only worse. He knows he’s got a problem and does fuck all about it. Long term…he’ll relive his parents’ marriage with the h. He’ll fuck an OW because reasons, feel so much guilt he becomes a fall down drunk as he keeps fucking OW because he doesn’t “deserve” her but he can’t let her go.
2 books of him graphically, excitedly, greedily fucking OW and 85% into book 3 and he still lusts after OW. But I’m supposed to be happy cuz he is (currently) keeping it in his pants??? I needed way more of them as couple, his “come to Jesus” chapter, and that epilogue to trust anything this loser H says.
I love this amount of angst…HOLY FUCK is it my jam…but with no character growth for H and a flat on her back doormat of an h…I’m feeling disgusted for womankind. I want to read these types of tropes. I want to 5 star the fuck out of them. But I’m tired of shitty heroines, no grovel, no equality, and no believable growth.
Loved Jack and Jessie's story, I've laughed out loud, cried and wanted to slap Jack, also like the other characters, cannot wait to read Savannahs story.
Just like the other two books in this series, this one did not disappoint! I am in love with the characters and I can't wait to read more from this author!
Would give more stars but there was only 5 to give
This book sat in my library for ages! I asked for recommendations for a good book and this was one of the choices so I dived straight in....book 1 omg it gave me a sore stomach! So much anxiety wanting to love jack but at the same time wanted to give him a good shake!!!!!!! Poor Jessie awe man these books hit all the feels and I'm not even exaggerating when I write this, I'm not go I g to delve to much as I don't want to spoil the story....but if u haven't read these please do so asap as I can assure you they won't disappoint. Loved Jessie and Jack and so glad he finally got his head in the right place so he could love Jessie with all his being
Ah just fab third book my emotions were all over the place a must read had to stay up all night to finish the book couldn't out it down very well written
Love! 🥰 I really liked the conclusion to their story. The only thing that would’ve made it “more” is if Jessie had pushed back a bit more against how Jack was. She was still a bit of a door mat and that wasn’t appealing. I just felt that Jack should’ve had to chased her a bit more once he actually gave in to his feelings. I just wanted her to show a bit more spunk!! I think that would’ve made it five stars for me. To see him really have to work for her love rather than her just always being there for when he was ready.
I loved the conclusion to their story and the books are well written.

Loved how jack and Jessie’s story came together at the end. Soooooo long over due but made me happy jack finally came to his senses. I was hoping for more babies. Oh well. Now onto book four!!!!
This serious was just unreal I just so long for Jack and Jessie to get it together they are so well suited your stories were amazing truly loved every bit thank you
Got so bored of the repetative story and back and forth between these two I skimmed so much. 1) why was there very little made of the murder of Jessies husband? 2) they didn't work much in this book, I missed that feel from the office banter and the professional relationship. 3) why did her mother and father not step in when she was so weak and ultimately self sabotaging? 4) Jack was an absolute disgrace and no one called him put, some feeble attempts when in the bar but no one tried to direct his behaviour. I am just too nosey to give up on a book., But not did this test me.
I wouldn't want my worst enemy to end up with this pathetic piece of shit - and by that I mean either Jessie or Jack. HEA my ass - Jack will be fucking other women two years after this ends. After reading this crap fest you can't convince me otherwise.
This one left a bad taste in my mouth. First, the Madonna/loose woman dichotomy has always icked me out. The mother figure can't be experienced, takes care of everyone, and allows the man to use her and make her dirty. The women who love sex are trash to be used and discarded. Neither side of the equation considers a woman as a person with needs of her own. The fact that Jessie plays into this stereotype completely makes me sick to my stomach. As it should any woman who reads this book. She takes care of him and his little girl and he treats her horribly. I'm supposed to root for you. I hope the inciting incident happens again and you take a long walk off a short pier. I hoped that he would redeem himself, but nope he constantly reminds us that she is not a person to him. Just a convenient appendage. Is the dirty talk hot? Yes and no. When he talks about what he wants to do yes. But not when we get to his tidy little box she fits in then no it's not. He talks about making a good girl dirty. Taking this pristine clean girl and making her dirty with the animalistic things he wants to do to her. And besides some spanking and talk it's a very vanilla routine. His only redeeming quality is he isn't a sucky father or brother.
At this point I just don’t care enough, I have seen this is one of 6 in the series and if the next book is about Jessie or Jack I quit!
I believe, by the time we finish this book, we should feel closure and happiness that they figured it all out.
Newsflash, I’m just happy I’m done with the book.
I legit wanted to slap Jessie… how many times would you put yourself through that! Girl give it up, he’ll be cheating on your arse in 6 months (if that), the sad fact is you are not enough for him .. he has a problem (other than being a grade one douche canoe..)he is an addict and they don’t get better without professional help
This story of Jack and Jessie is sweet, funny and intense. Cars blow up, old intimacies show up; there’s anger, confusion, jealousy and tears. This story runs the whole gamut of emotion. Will he finally walk away or will she decide it’s just to much to deal with.
Consumed is the third book of this series and Definitely worth the time to read!
Jack and Jessie have a story that is one of passionate love and friendship. Their relationship and the fight with oneself to comes to terms with being in love is profound. It is a slow burn.
