And so we've finished off the last of these books about the little riding school, the shetland ponies living there, their owner, and the girls that LOOOOOOVES those little horses.

I've been reading these books aloud for kiddo, and although I wasn't that engaged in the story in the first couple of books, since I'm not a horsecrazy person.... I have to admit, these books have just gotten better and better. And they've SERIOUSLY grown on me!

Lin Hallberg have an easy language without making it silly. It's still serious issues she deals with when it comes to horses and everything that can happen around them. She doesn't put any rosetinted glasses on the readers. These books deal with real horses, albait small ones, and real issues that can happen. And does happen on a riding school.

As a school-librarian I know these are some of the most popular books there is in the school-library. I never got it. Until now.

Kiddo is riding on a riding school that remind a bit about the one in these books. It's a bit rundown, but the love and spirit between the owner and the adults working there and the teens spending time there and the kids riding there... That is the same thing as in these books. And it's a beautiful thing!

I hope Lin will write more books about the riding school Brobygården. The horses Sigge, Sally, Japp, Nanou, Sam, Sappo and Molly. And the riders! Elina (the main character), Mattis, Sara Li, Eric, Rosanna, Ester and Agnes. And, let's not forget, the very VERY understanding parents, that let their young kids take on such HUGE responsibility that it is to take care of a horse. As if it was your own....

Much love for these books! I admit to be a converted reader!

Sinttu- sarja jatkuu. Nyt osallistutaan kilpailuihin ja harjoitellaan sitä varten. Nämä hyvänmielen kirjat aina ilostuttavat ja niitä on mukava lukea vaikka ihan aikuisenkin, varsinkin entiset ja nykyiset heppatytöt varmasti pitävät. Kirjoitustyyli on jouhevaa ja mukaansa tempaavaa. Olen näitä lukenut hieman eri järjestyksessä kuin ovat ilmestyneet joten vielä on muutama kirja lukematta, vaikka tämä 17. osa on viimeisin ilmestynyt. Tänä vuonna ilmestyy uusi osa kyllä myöhemmin vuotta.

Menee Helmet- haasteessa numeroon 47. Kaksi kirjaa, jotka kertovat samasta aiheesta (toinen samasta aiheesta kertovaksi kirjaksi luin toisen osan Sinttu- sarjaa, kummassakin harrastetaan ratsastusta, pidetään hepoista ja touhutaan niiden kanssa).
