Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage, is still having to deal with a lack of funding for Sunagakure. Although the Land of Wind was happy to pay for all expenses that led to victory during the Fourth Shinobi World War several years earlier, the Wind daimyō has been reluctant to fund issues that arose as a result of that victory: compensation to families of shinobi who died during the War or rehabilitation costs for those who were injured. It's currently Gaara's job to try and get the money for those issues from the daimyō.
Gaara is my favorite Naruto character. As a child, I favored Sasuke because c'mon it's Uchiha Sasuke, need I say more?? (Plus, I was young and attracted to everything physically beautiful) But, as I grew and continued to follow the series, I began to admire Gaara. His character development was astounding; from a bloodthirsty, self-loving Jinchūriki to a kind and respectable Kazekage. So, when I found out that he will have his own light novel, I immediately searched for an English translation online (and as a support to the author, I will buy a copy of the novel one of these days).
At first, I had my doubts about the novel, forced romance toping the list (as it was about him apparently learning what love is). But, no... I couldn't have wanted it any other way. I loved Gaara in the manga already, however this novel made me love him even more.
It's nice to see things from Gaara's view, as he is quite the interesting character but doesn't always get that much screen-time in the show. Gaara has never had a romantic interest in anyone, which is something I didn't really think about until this story. While this story does involve quite a bit of action and politics, it was nice to see this different focus on Gaara, with him having to face this prospect of marriage and of finding someone to be with for the good of his country.
The "twist" wasn't all that original, as far as twists go with arranged marriages, but it carried the story forward and helped give more pressure to the situation Gaara was in.
Overall, I enjoyed this story, and I can't wait to read the next one.
Please, like I would say anything bad about this book. I love this book as much as Sakura Hiden. Gosh, I need more of Naruto. Wheter its manga, novel, anime, or movie. I wish Masashi Kishimoto wouldn't stop, ne?
this was fun. i like gaara and kankuro and temari even more now. there were moments of shikamaru and temari from gaara's perspective. also, gaara is definitely autistic (thinking about this and realizing i only know the vibe of autism. like gaara is as he is because of past experiences, is that how autism works or is it completely a genetics thing? maybe i should learn something about autism). anyway, gaara just thinking in shinobi mode the entire time trying to talk to a girl, kankuro being one of those 'aah alcohol tastes bad but it has its uses' people to gaara who's drinking ice tea, gaara being surprised by shikatema and kankuro just literally going 'nah it was obvious' leading to gaara reading icha icha paradise to understand the signs he missed, shikamaru giving creepy grins to gaara's ace ass self when he is talking to shijima in the end and ending the book without gaara ending up with anyone and oooh, naruto being a light in gaara's life of darkness (as he is for literally everyone my sunshine child mwah)>>>>>>>>>>>>>
first thing, imma a big fans of Gaara that he has been my top favorite among the all characters of the series. the synopsis only said that the story is about his love story and the dating tho, but there was more than just a man and woman, this book is literally telling us how to see in Gaara’s perspective about Shinobi (Ninja) world which is never been mentioned in the series. literally a book about sacrifice, struggle, friendship, leadership and life meaning. i’ve never thought that this “fake dating” story would include so many important scenes. absolutely my top favorite of the Hiden series.
There are two series of light novels (Japanese young adult novellas) based on "Naruto". The "Naruto Hiden" ("Secret Chronicles") series takes place about two years after the war, so if you haven't gotten that far, and want to avoid spoilers, put them on your to read list for later. They are well worth the wait. Unfortunately, the 4th and 5 the books have not been published in English. This story explores an adventure surrounding Gara and is the best in the series in my opinion. Hopefully the publishers will translate it soon.
I like his character development, from someone who give up on the idea of love to a benevolent rulers. This novel give a glimpse of how the Kazekage siblings relationship. This is not only a novel about how Gaara’s love interest, I think it’s more about how he’s finally mature enough to take decision based on the best thing for all of the party involved albeit there’s sacrifice that he should made, and this is not easy.
A deeper dive into Gaara's personality and story apart from his origin. I really love how Kishimoto has written all the characters in Naruto verse with so much thought that no matter how they were introduced, there is a significant level of all-round character development. And you just can't help loving all these characters. The story felt kind of forced in the middle but the plot is well connected and everything ends up making sense at the end.
Mengandung plot twist 😆 awal2 dibikin baper eeeeh endingnya dibikin loh kok? Eh woow.
Me encanta encanta personalidad.

Not gonna lie, aside from Shikamaru Hiden, this might be the best novel in the entire Hiden series. The writing is neat, the plot was satisfying, and the ending was nice. I also really like how the sand siblings interact with each other. So precious.
