So many emotions - love the Descent into Darkness series
Ruined by Them is a great read. The feelings shared made me cry. I mean tears on my cheeks cry. I am enjoying the interwoven stories of this series. Amber is a young girl on the cusp of becoming a woman. She's lost a lot in her life but is trying to find her way. She's looking for the father she never knew with only a picture, a first name and a city. Along the way Ryan offers her kindness. He's dealing with his own loss and is afraid of how Amber makes him feel. On her 18th birthday she offers herself to him and he gently rejects her and that causes her to leave and continue on her search but the effect Amber had on him remains. In Chicago she has a hard time and feels the only way to do what she needs to do, is with her innocence. Oliver buys her innocence but he has an agenda. He plans to use her once and then again to further his goal. What he didn't expect was the effect Amber had on him. When Amber is in trouble these two men come to her aid. They work together to help her and let her know the impact she had on them and how they feel about her. Ryan and Oliver will stop at nothing to win the heart of Amber and get her the family she's always deserved.

Amber has been in foster care since she was five and lost her grandmother. At the newest place she thought the people were nice until the man of the house tried to rape her. He ended up falling down some steps and she left afraid for what would happen to her. She ended up in Denver next. She road on the bus with Ryan who was a nice man that didn't to do anything to her. Weeks later he finds her asking for money on the streets and takes her home with him. When he learns that she going to be turning eighteen soon he plans a surprise for her. He gets her a bus ticket to Chicago where her birth father is at and was getting her a cake. But a misunderstanding sends her leaving again. However she takes matters into her own hands in Chicago and Sells her Virginity in an auction so she can support herself. That's how she meets Oliver who is only planning to use her against her father. Will Amber ever find her place? Will Ryan and Oliver help her when her past catches up to her?

This is an amazing story that will have your attention from the first page. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Wow, what a fantastic story.

I loved this story and the wonderful characters as well. Amber ends up on the run trying to find her father after an incident at her foster family's home. Ryan ends up helping her out for a bit and then she leaves him after she feels like she humiliated herself by offering something Ryan turned down. When she gets to Chicago, where she tries to locate her father, she ends up homeless on the streets again. She is offered an opportunity to make some really good money and takes it, this is how she meets Oliver. Oliver has an agenda of his own and ends up hurting Amber in the process. Amber goes back to Los Angeles to face the problems she left behind. She finds out who really cares for her when things take a turn for the worse and two men she never expected to see again show up to help her. Find out what happens between these three people as this awesome story unfolds. It's a great read and I highly recommend it!!!

Here we have one smashing story from this author who has written quite some MFM stories before. This one has totally different scenario though and even though some of the characters are the same as in her previous one in this series that just makes the settings and the story line that much better. The story line here is just fantastic and oh what a symphathy one has towards the heroine, at least I felt that way. This story really moves one around emotionally and tears can very likely jump out of one´s eyes at certain points in her life. Overall this story is just really really good and so very deserving of the four stars I am giving it here, the fifth one was almost there but jus not quite but that one is also really hard to come by with me. But this story I can most certainly recommend for anyone who likes good romances with villains, good samaritans, hardships, love, and a whole lot of all of the other things that make a story a really good one!!!!

She is a product of the foster system her mother died giving birth to her and her grandma tried to keep her but at 6 she eventually went into the system luckily she had a pretty good life until at the age of 17 her foster father tries to molest her pushing him down the stairs she runs After she runs she comes across Ryan he tries to help her in her search for her father and in payment she offers her self and he turns her down humiliated she runs yet again She is now in La where she believes her father maybe here she meets Oliver a man with dark tastes and an agenda of his own She finally decides she needs to face her past and heads home to face the consequences of pushing her foster father down the stairs bit will Ryan and Oliver be the ones to protect her this time This is a fast paced book that flows well and will have you turning the pages as fast as you can I thoroughly recommend but it is dark so may not be for everyone

Loved this next installment.. This is part of a series but each story is a standalone. You will meet others from the past stories but you can join in.
Amber has been in foster since the death of her grandmother. Her mother died in her birth and her father was never in the picture, All Amber had was an old picture with a name on the back. Amber was happy in her foster home but one night the foster father went horrible over the edge and Amber ended up pushing him down a flight of stairs.
While on a bus out of town she meets Ryan, He helps her out with a place to live and she starts to feel better about herself,
She gets to Chicago to find her father and meets "Ollie". He finds out who her father really is and that is when things get going,
Loved the story and a great addition to the series,

OMG this is such a gripping dark read , Oliver , Amber and Ryan are great characters and the storyline has you gripped from the beginning to the end and makes it a real page turner , she's young and grew up in the foster care system , after nearly being assaulted by her foster dad she runs away hoping to find her dad with only a picture of her mom with a man who she hopes is her dad , she meets Ryan on her travels who takes her in and looks after her , she then leaves and meets Oliver who bought her at an auction , he soon reveals why he wanted her but will she believe him , a fabulous book with a great storyline and even greater characters , there's drama , her past , steamy scenes , dark moments and so much more , this is another must read from Kelli

She meets two different men, but only one takes the last thing of herself she has left to offer to a man. Her past, however is quick to catch up with her, as Amber is the key and pawn for others to use in their own war…until she has her very own battle to fight, where she will finally see that she has more support behind her than she realizes.

Admirable strength and integrity from Amber, and even Oliver has a moment of epiphany with regards to her, while Ryan was already there.

Amber ended up in the foster care system when her grandmother couldn’t care for her anymore. She is trying to learn more about her father but doesn’t have a lot of information. When her foster father tries to get her into his bed, she pushes him and he falls. She steals money and the car and goes to a bus station to by a ticket. She meets Ryan and he is kind to her then she meets Oliver and he just wants her. Will she be with either of them? Will she find her father? Fast-paced read with loads of drama and suspense. The characters are amazing and the story drew me in from beginning to end. I loved it.

I really like this new "darker" series Ms. Callahan is writing. Besides the steamy scenes, which now have a darker edge to them, the storyline is good. The guys are all alpha and just as yummy as other characters for her other books. The cover can fool you into thinking that the book will have more sex scenes than plot, but that is not so. It's the budding romance between the characters in the plot that drives this book. It's a nice change in a menage book.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Amber has been dealt a hard life and she just tries to manage, but after a terrifying occurance she's literally in the run. Ryan just happens to be a knight in shining armor and saves the day for many weeks - and then there's Oliver - a force of nature to be reckoned with... The two men don't know about each other until they stumble over each other, while trying to help Amber out...A very nice story, that brings you back to Chicago and the Prescott Manor.

This is a interesting quite dark story, which I really enjoyed, full of emotions and great characters, which I found emotional at times to read. I have previously enjoyed the writing style of this author, and found this was no different.
I have read one other book in this series, and I got the impression there was some crossover of storylines between the other books and this, in timelines and characters. Although this can be read as a standalone I feel that it would have enhanced my enjoyment by having read these books prior to this.

Ruined By Them: A Dark MFM Romance (Descent into Darkness Book 4) written by Kelli Callahan is completely addictive! This book is definitely an incredible continuation of this amazingly dark series. It can be read as a stand-alone story but I highly recommend reading the entire series. They all have their own HEA ending but the characters have crossover scenes in the other books. If you like Dark MFM Romance then this is a must read! Another amazing hit by Kelli Callahan!

what a very nice book to read .. because the characters of the other parts are involved, the story becomes complete. the chemistry and click between Amber with Ryan and Oliver can not be seen from the beginning .. but further on in the story you see flourishing. just like the other parts, the book has the excitement and action and with these main characters make the book complete. I again enjoyed the book just like other parts of me, therefore 5 stars.

I am absolutely loving the Descent into Darkness series. The books are way more darker than the authors other books and have a storyline that will have you riveted from start to finish of the book.
The characters are more complex and well written. They all have their own issues that they need to overcome and live with.
While on the run Amber meets two dominant men, Ryan wants to help her and care for her even though he is a broken man and Oliver wants to ruin her with revenge on his mind.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Amber, Oliver and Ryan. She's a young woman on the run from get past. Bc they only thing she knows is to look for a man named Aiden seen Chicago. Oliver is an by ex cop who works again the Prescott family. Ryan is just a good guy trying to help out a young woman. Their lives intertwine with the characters from the last few books, it is a different perspective of what's happening at the same time. Some dark moments. But a HEA

This dark MFM romance offers an overall tense feel as the story line plays out. This entertaining read provides a well thought out plot, good pacing and a complex story. I liked the balance between heat and heart in the book. The individual characters are likable as is the ménage they create. I thought this book was exciting, dramatic, emotional, steamy and a bit sweet. A very enjoyable read! This is my independent, impartial review.

If you like Dark romances, Ruined by Them is the book for you. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. Great chemistry between Ryan, Amber and Oliver. The storyline was fantastic, great plot and fast pace. There's plenty of action, drama, dark scenes and steamy moments. I really enjoyed reading this book!

A great dark read of one girl coming out of a bad situation going into another and meeting two different males who help her along the way. You will not put this one down till the every end. Amber grew up in the foster care system and when she was older she ran away to get escape from a bad situation. Along the way she meets Ryan then Oliver and then the story takes off into the dark side. This is a steamy, dark ménage filled with drama, danger, suspense, twists and it will take you on an emotional ride so get the Kleenex ready. This is a dark and emotional read about a woman who has nothing and has gone through the foster system her entire life. She goes on the hunt for her dad, she has no idea who he is, but this hunt leads her to people and situations that she wasn’t ready for or even expected to ever encounter. It’s really well written with great characters and dialogue. A great read!

I only gave this book a four star 🌟 rating, because of the poor proofreading. Words missing, words that didn't belong. There were wrong tenses used, and misspelled words. The story was gripping and was also very vivid. It stayed with me, even after I put it down.
