Listening length: 5 hours, 19 minutes

I went searching for trouble and I found it. I just didn't expect to find it in the form of Cillian Gallagher.

The gorgeously tatted lead singer and guitarist of Wild Irish, Cillian is everything I've always tried to stay away from. He's wild and dangerous. And exactly what I need to cross off number four on my bucket list.

Kiss a complete stranger.

It should have been that simple. But I wasn't prepared for the scorching heat that would ignite a passion, leaving us both gasping for air.

It was never meant to be more than a fling.

I didn't expect that when I left Ireland, I'd be leaving a piece of my heart, or how our lives would be intertwined even when we were thousands of miles apart.

One last request.

One life-changing list.

One month of no regrets.

I ran from my boring, simple life, straight into the arms of trouble. The thing with trouble is that it has a way of finding you, no matter where you go.

2.5 "I honeymooned in Ireland and I’m a sucker for anything Irish" stars rounded up. A quick and easy read, but not particularly memorable or moving.

After her sister passes away and her fiancé cheats on her, Delaney sets off for the Emerald Isle. Other than checking off the boxes on her sister’s wish list, she doesn’t exactly have a plan. While attempting to navigate the unfamiliar terrain, a car cuts her off, and she loses her shit and veers off the road. And here I HAD to laugh because it reminded me of the one and only time that I attempted to drive during our trip and I similarly lost my shit and was subsequently banned from the driver’s seat.

The driver of the offending car is Cillian, the smoky and sexy lead singer of a popular rock band. Cillian has been licking his wounds after a betrayal of the worst kind. Suffice it to say, he discovers something else that he wants to lick in Delaney.

The story had good bones, but the bones didn't have much flesh. Although there were no "I-just-met-you-a-day-ago-but-I-love-you" moments, there were many clichés and insta-feelings. Then there were many misunderstandings and miscommunications. And while I love me a tortured hero, Cillian was too volatile. I was also really grossed out that their first time occurred shortly after Delaney vomited all over herself. Yes, you read that right.

The story was uneven – for example, I thought Delaney grieving her sister was well done, but I wanted to see more of Cillian’s reconciliation with his brother - yet the evolution of their relationship was sweet and satisfying enough. Overall, it was fairly standard New Adult faire for which your mileage may vary.

Read for SBTB January - March 2018 Quarterly Challenge: a book that has something do with Ireland.

"Find your happiness."

WILD IRISH was PURE PERFECTION!! This sparkling gem, which is chock full of adventure, toe-curling swoon, angsty emotion and breathtaking passion, tantalizes the senses, tugs at the heartstrings and provides the ULTIMATE romantic escape.

C. M. Seabrook proved once again why her fans can't get their fill of her books, and this rock star romance is probably my favorite to date. She really upped her game, digging deep into the hearts and souls of her characters, and hit every right note!!!!

I love fast paced romances that sweep you right into the story without a lot of drawn out backstory or setup, and I am happy to report that I was immediately transported into the plot as the heroine embarked on the romantic sojourn of a lifetime!! After suffering one crushing heartbreak after another, a currently unemployed Delaney gave her cheating fiancé the heave ho, and decided to finally do the one thing her dearly departed sister made her promise –take her dream trip to Ireland and cross off every adventure on her bucket list.

"One month –no rules, no regrets. Just the damn list to guide me."

Driving down the treacherously unfamiliar Irish countryside on the first leg of her journey, the melancholy lyrics of a hauntingly sad song that kept replaying on the radio did little to help soothe Delaney’s frazzled nerves. Instead, the deep, sexy Irish brogue struck a deep chord within her, tapping into hidden hurts and pent up regrets, reminding her of all she had lost. She was sleep deprived to the point of exhaustion but never in wildest hallucinations did she imagine that a terrifying automobile collision would bring her face to face with Irish crooner Cillian Gallagher in the flesh, or that melting into a sizzling hot kiss with this dangerously sexy stranger would be the very first item she crossed off her bucket list.

Neither Cillian nor Delaney were looking for a hookup or messy emotional entanglements but their attraction was instantaneous. Electrifying. Undeniable. And as it turns out, one breath-stealing lip lock would never be enough for either of them. Though she knew she was flirting with trouble, Delaney couldn't possibly say no when Cillian gruffly offered her refuge while she figured out her next move.

Coming off a major bender after an unforgivable betrayal by his bandmates, the Wild Irish lead singer was at a professional and personal crossroads but this sweet, accident-prone American beauty proved to be just the distraction he needed from his misery. So he made it his mission to help her fulfill some of the items on her list. Especially when it came to item number twenty-two:

"Have a mind-blowing orgasm!!"

They were both keeping closely-guarded secrets and mutually agreed that while they would enjoy their sizzling hot dalliance for as long as it lasted, they both knew there would be no promises of tomorrow. But then the impossible happened. They bared their souls and foolishly found themselves falling in love. But now with Delaney’s whirlwind Irish adventure coming to an end, would she be able to bid adieu to the hot as sin rocker who had showed her how to really live?

Gah! This book was UNPUTDOWNABLE. I binge read it in a day (not my normal MO) and could not get these characters out of my head…or my heart. The protagonists were refreshingly unique and oh so endearing, the sexy interludes smoldering hot and tinged with sweetness, the storyline packed an emotional punch, and the poignant feels ran deep!!!!

I have a weakness for roguishly sexy rock stars with foreign accents (duh, who doesn't?) so I was giddy with excitement to dive into this lush romance set in the Emerald Isle. And be still my beating heart!! Cillian was one hot AF angry Irish bloke ...and Ms. Seabrook’s most VOLATILE Alpha to date (squeeee!!!). He gave me tingly butterflies and fueled my EVERY fantasy!! So for the record, I am claiming him as mine. So hands off, ladies!! Cillian is just my kind of hero…he is dark and rough and mysterious, with a huge chip on his shoulder, yet beneath the growly exterior, he still exudes that swoony sweetness and gentle chivalry I have come to expect from this author’s irresistible heroes. And I loved his heated interaction with his foul-mouthed, equally hot-tempered bandmates, which added delicious drama into the mix!

Speaking of drama, there was plenty of roiling turmoil throughout to keep tensions running high. Cillian has had his heart stomped on and does NOT trust readily. And the feisty American who crashed headfirst into his life is the kind of trouble he is looking to avoid!! But against all odds, he found a kindred spirit in Delaney. This couple had a MAGICAL connection from the very start! And I just loved how once his walls start to come down, how intensely territorial--and uber protective --he was toward her.

“I want to possess her. All of her. Make her mine.”

Delaney brings out this surly, impossible stubborn rocker’s softer side, keeps him on his toes and arouses his deepest, tenderest emotions. And while this good girl claimed she was just looking to cut loose and live life to the fullest, Cillian saw the uniquely special woman beneath the surface and found himself entranced by her beauty, her aching vulnerability, her untapped wildness. He wanted to bring her to the brink of pleasure--and beyond!--and she was more than happy to go along for the ride!

“A nervous energy races through me. It’s crazy and wild, and so like nothing I’ve ever done before.”

Although falling for one another would lead to nothing but heartache, their all-consuming addiction to one another's proved too intoxicating to resist! But trust remained a stumbling block that was not so easily overcome….

Sighhhh! I truly cannot rave enough about this ENCHANTING love story!! At its core, WILD IRISH is a heartstirring story about fate, destiny, forgiveness, soul-deep healing, and taking a leap of faith when love comes crashing through your door! I highly recommend this tale for all you adventurers out there looking to fulfill some thrilling romantic fantasies of your own!

5 Crazy for Cillian stars!

First person, Dual-POV, HAE. Can be read as standalone.

MY LOVE FOR IRISH BOYS IS REAL. I've read another in the series before Wild Irish and they continue to be amazing. The love escalates quickly, but the story-line never suffers. Huge fan of this crew of boys, and the heroines in each story.

In this installment, Cillian, the lead singer of Wild Irish, is in the midst of shutting everyone in his life out. He's been screwed over by not only the woman he was engaged to, but also his brother, and if things went according to plan, he'd never have to speak to another one of his band-mates (or anyone, really) again. He's drinking himself into a hole in Ireland, until she almost runs into him on the road.

Delaney is on a borrowed trip. She's in Ireland, doing things on a 'bucket' list that her sister created and when she crashes her rental into a pasture wall, she's not sure where all that Irish luck ran off to. She's definitely not sure what she's doing there at all. She's not the adventurous sister. But she has nothing left at home in Chicago - her fiancee is a douche, and her family is caught up in other things. So when the accident leads to a surly man offering his home while her car is in the shop, she's not sure what to think about her luck anymore.

They have fun together, but it's clear from the beginning that there is a spark. Things escalate quickly physically, but feelings they both weren't expecting show up too.

Every last shredded ounce of my soul is hers.

This is adorable. Recommend if you're looking for a somewhat-insta-love, feel-good story, with an alpha hero as well.

'Til next time cuties ;)!

I received my ARC of this book and read it in one day. It's a story of survivor's guilt on Delaney's part and raw emotions on Cillian's. They have an instant connection that they both fight, with outside forces interfering, until they both realize their love is inevitable. What a beautiful story this is! CM Seabrook captures the reader's attention from the very first page and keeps it throughout the entire book. Definitely worth reading!!!

Delaney has just lost her sister. Before her death she gave Delaney her list a list about things she wanted to experience in life. Now Delaney has promised to follow the list for her. First stop Ireland. Her bad luck is following her and she is involved in a car crash. The driver of the other car is a handsome guy named Cillian. He is a angry man who just been betrayed buy his own brother and Cillians girlfriend. Delaney and Cillian is spending a month together and feelings for each other is getting strong. But can Cillian trust again and is there hope for the two of them. I really loved this book. It is a beautiful love story about broken hearts and trust and hope. I really enjoyed it and will highly recommend this book

Wild Irish is my first read from C.M. Seabrook, and I absolutely loved it.

Read it in one evening, I couldn't go to sleep before finishing it.
Delaney and Cillian are broken, hurt, fierce and so .... stubborn !!

I loved their interactions, loved the rich background in the group and hope other characters from the Wild Irish Rock Band will have their story.

Inhalt:

Was ist heißer als ein Rockstar? Irische Rockstars!

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance

I was in the mood for a Irish themed romance and I discovered this book through the Audible Romance Package and after listening to this quickie read (5 hours of listening) so its not too long of a story, but it was a charming fun drama llama romance that is pretty delightful. It was a great diversion.

Our story begins with our heroine, who has recently lost her sister to a disease so she made a promise to fulfill the list her sister had, a bucket list of sorts and so she goes to Ireland to start that list and she ends up in a car wreck, and the other car involved is a sexy Irish man that captivates her attention. Cillian is a lead singer to a Irish band “Wild Irish” and when he sees his brother in bed with his girl, he leaves the band for a while because he can’t be singing in the same band as the brother who betrayed him the most. But when he takes in Delaney there is an instant spark between them and even though Delane isn’t one to do casual flings, she can’t resist the connection that she feels with Cillian. But will Delaney and Cililan find their happy ever after despite the conflicts?

I really had a fun time with this book, it was very entertaining and even though I did find myself a bit frustrated with how these two just would never really communicate towards the end, much drama could have been avoided if these two just talked openly and honestly, but there were many things they had to deal with internally before they could really fight and make their relationship work for them. But I did enjoy the Ireland setting and I had a fun time with both of these characters that really won my heart despite their lack of communication skills. There were some unique fun plot twists and I am excited to read more of the band members because they were yummy!!

Overall I found this to be a fun, quick soul palette cleanser of a read especially after my previous read book was a struggle and I just wanted to step away from books for a while, but this story got me back in, so good job with this new to me author that I really enjoyed!!

Sprecherin: Jana Marie Backhaus-Tors

**1.5 Stars**

Yikes... this book read like an outline of a really good book. The general concept was really good. An Irish rock star and a girl trying to find her happiness in Ireland should be an automatic win, but sadly it wasn't.

This book was missing content. The beginning of the book was really good with great descriptions and details. While their initial chemistry started off too quickly for my taste (almost insta-love) I was still drawn and wanted to keep going. However it all went downhill after she tore up the list. All of the sudden everything started happening really quickly, like a boulder rolling down a hill. Suddenly it's weeks later, there's a VERY predictable altercation, then it's 4 months later and there is, once again, a VERY predictable situation... then the next day when yet another VERY predictable and way rushed situation happens... then we're six months later and yet ANOTHER VERY predictable situation happens.

Delaney and Cillian were both pretty immature characters who jumped to conclusions at all costs. We're barely given any detail regarding their backgrounds so it's really hard to say if it's justified. Cillian's brother allegedly slept with Cillian's girlfriend but that got resolved with a quick clarification by his friend after Owen gets hurt. For something that seemed to be an important part of the storyline, it was pretty glossed over.

This book started of really strong which is why I gave it 1.5 stars instead of just one, but man in went downhill fast. I do not recommend this book unless you like predictable books that practically bullet point the story for you.

Delaney takes a trip to Ireland after losing her sister and wants to complete her sister's bucket list. Once she arrives in Ireland, she tries to avoid
a crazy driver and is run off the road crashing a fence and ending up in the middle of a cow field. The crazy driver is Cillian and since he feels responsible,
he offers her a place to stay until her car can be fixed. The chemistry between Delaney and Cillian is off the charts, but they both have issues that stops from acting on it.

I really enjoyed this sexy, fun ride to a happily ever after with just a little angst!

Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect but what I got was wonderful! This book is filled with angst, lust, heat, sweetness... the list goes on. It was a quick read for me but the details were not spared. You truly get a feel for all the characters and really connect with them. The story is great! Highly recommended! I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

3 “Find your happiness” stars

This is a really quick read. A fast-paced rockstar romance between a broody Irish rocker and a grief-stricken American tourist.

Delaney travelled from Chicago to Ireland following the death of her sister, Maeve. After watching her suffer through a long illness, she has taken her sister’s bucket list and is determined to do all the things Maeve never had a chance to do, and along the way hoping to find the happiness that her sister wanted for her. Things don’t go according to plan though, and when she runs into trouble, she is rescued by a gorgeous, broody Irishman who offers her help and a temporary place to stay.

The last thing Cillian wants is a woman in his house. As the lead singer of upcoming band Wild Irish, he should be living the high life. But a devastating betrayal has left him shattered and at odds with his brother and bandmates, and he wants nothing more than to hibernate and forget that the real world exists. And then along comes a gorgeous American who intrigues him like no other.

There is an immediate attraction between Delaney and Cillian, and when he offers to help her with his list, they throw themselves into a passionate affair – even though they know it will be shortlived - and embark upon a journey that will change everything.

One touch.
One taste.
I want more. One night won’t be enough.
But it’s going to have to be.
I can’t let my emotions get tied up. She doesn’t belong here. And even if she did, I don’t have room in my life for someone like her. Someone who’ll demand more than I can give -
everything.

I really liked the setup to this story, and the romance got off to a great start, but it’s an angsty ride with push and pull, and time skips which led to the whole thing feeling like a snowball advancing down a hill. It moves really quickly, and though I could appreciate the intensity of Delaney and Cillian’s feelings, I didn’t get to experience it as much as I would have liked. There’s also some quick judgements and misunderstandings that got on my nerves a bit and which didn’t really help me get fully invested.

I liked Delaney and Cillian as characters, and I thought their story (though bumpy) was really gorgeous, with a passionate, emotional and intense connection, which I enjoyed.

She’s mine.
But even as I think it, I know the truth. It’s me who belongs to her. Every last shredded ounce of my soul is hers.

I just would have liked a bit more exploration into who they were, why Cillian’s moodiness was so intense, and their time together to make it all a bit more believable.

Honestly had I not already read the next book in the series, I probably wouldn’t have gone on. But thankfully that one came across my path first and I absolutely loved it! I know what this author is capable of, and I’m still really looking forward to reading more.

3 stars.

This was a really cute and funny story so if you guys are looking for something light this is your book.
I loved that C.M. kept the Irish slang for this book I am Irish so when it's written like this not only do I understand it I relate to it because I live it if that makes sense.
Basics of the story: Delaney an American Travels to Ireland to knock off things on a list kinda a bucket list and she gets a lot more than she bargained for when she meets Cillian (pronounced Killian) He is Irish and a rock star so yeah Wild Irish suits this tall drink of water :)
The story takes us on their journey with a lot of twists and turns in the mix, now I gotta be honest a few times I had a little Déjà vu moment and i dunno if it was that I could predict it or that it was similar to other stories I love perhaps I just watch too many Romance movies so that is why the four stars but it is still a great read hopeless romantics this one you're gonna love.
Would Cillian Be My Book Boyfriend? Hell yes, he's my book Husband and whilst I am at it have all of Wild Irish too! Mine #CLAIMED

Sexy wild Irish alpha male

I simply adored this book. At times I felt like I was in a pub or climbing a mountain. The writing of this book was simply amazing. I have read other books by C.M. and I will continue to. The way she explained the characters and there Alfa male forms was hot as well. I'd love to hear more from these people.

Wow! I don't know if I can put into words how much I loved this book! So much so that I read it once on Sunday and again on Monday. It was Spectacular!

A little background:
Cillian began turning inward after his mother left the family. He trusts no one, especially after he thinks his brother slept with his girlfriend. He's closed off and broody to hide his soft center. He has been running for three months, avoiding the band, who now threatens to sue him if he doesn't fulfill his contract and his brother who he thinks betrayed him.

Delaney is trying to heal from the death of her sister. She wishes it had been her to suffer from CF and die, feeling her sister deserved to live her life instead of her. Now she has traveled to Ireland to fulfill her sister's bucket list...with not one item on there that she really wants to do.

We have the gorgeous, tatted, sexy and tempting Cillian Gallagher who is the lead singer of the Irish Rock Band 'Wild Irish.' He's had a rough go and left the band. By all appearances, his brother had bedded Cillian's girlfriend but looks can be deceiving. But he is stubborn to the extreme and refuses to listen to anyone.

The beautiful Delaney is on a mission. Kiss a complete stranger. Her beloved sister, Mauve, has just passed away from cystic fibrosis. Find her Happiness. You see, she promised her sister that she would travel to Ireland where their grandmother was born and complete the sister's bucket list. Have a soul shattering O. It is there that she runs into Cillian...or should I say he barely missed running into her with his car and ran her off the road. They are instantly drawn to each other when he goes to see that she is not injured.

She has a month, no regrets allowed, to complete the bucket list before she has to head back to the USA. But her 'run in' with Cillian seriously changes things. They fit like puzzle pieces and fall in love. When her ex fiance shows up and approaches Cillian he quickly convinces him that Delaney is his fiance and he has come to take her home. Let me just say that Cillian didn't take that well and jumped to all the wrong conclusions while shattering her heart.

What a ride!! Loved it!!

Oh boy! Oh boy! Another book from this lady and I knew that I was about to embark on the most intense and hot as hell journey of my life.
Just the thought of her previous books and I was on cloud nine.
Like I say, C.M.'s writing is simple, intense and super hot. If you don't trust me see for yourself...
Wild Irish tells the stories of Delaney and Cillian.
Delaney is a woman on a mission. To cross every line from her sister bucket list. One month, no rules, no regrets that was her motto. Unfortunately her sister has lost her battle and it's up to her to achieve her goals. Her first stop is in Ireland and since she's not a lucky girl she gets herself involves in a car crash with the famous and handsome Cillian.
Cillian is a famous singer that was betrayed by his brother and girlfriend. So you can guess his state of mind.
Can they get involved? Can he trust again? Or can she find happiness again?
Jaysus this book is freaking amazing ye hear me.
Beautiful and heartfelt store that will melt your heart.
The plot is amazing and the interaction between the characters is beautiful and intense.
So many questions, so many doubts answered with the flick of the pages.
I was happy, sad, angry and upset at the same time. There were parts of the story that I wanted to crawl into the book and kick someone's arse... Just saying.
And ladies and gentlemens the hot scenes are wild and sweet. Just the total package in one simple book.
Oh C.M. I missed your writing and I'm so thankful for this amazing book.
What's next?? Will you write about the other band members? Will I wait to long for it?? I sure hope not.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow! What an amazing story. This is the first book I have read by C.M. I was captivated from the beginning till the end. The story flowed and the connection between the characters felt real. I love reading books that I can picture in my head just like if I was watching it on tv. Wild Irish is definitely a MUST read. I can't wait to read more of C.M.'s books.

5 Sterne!❤️🥰

I really wasn't thrilled with this book to be honest. I found the characters to be two dimensional, and the plot to be a little thin. First, the main character Cillian grunted waaay too much. He literally grunted in response on every page and it was off putting. I get that he's a broody, sullen character, but I'm sure there are other ways to demonstrate that.

Second, the two characters Delaney and Cillian get mad over the DUMBEST THINGS. I see you hugging my brother? *Storms off in a fury* Can't find my lover after a night of romance and professed love, even though I didn't look too hard for a note and didn't bother to call? *Throws coffee mug against the wall and leaves angry voice mail* I mean, what?? I know, they have trust issues, but seriously, this was ridiculous.

The whole thing was just a little ridiculous and not well thought it. The romance was steamy, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't enough to get me to like the book and read the next one.

I’ve had this book on my radar for awhile now and I’m glad that I finally picked it up. It’s a pretty easy read but it gives you enough to make you fall in love with the characters.
I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Some extreme drama and plenty of misunderstandings, but I couldn't put it down. Super compelling characters and a sweet romance. And, of course, Ireland.

MEINUNG:
