Tegan Twenty years ago, I did the unthinkable and walked away from the man I loved without a word. Now that man has walked back into my life, needing my help. Help I’m not supposed to give. Wick I have dreamed of the day when I would see her again, I just didn’t expect it to happen this way. Once she was my whole world, now she is just a way to help my brother. After that, I’m done with her.
Another good journey with the Sibarian MC. Wick and Tegans story is delicious, separated for two decades and still a powerful love ! Joy Blood knows how to write a potent and intriguing book, the story flows beautifully . Some flashbacks but they are short and to the point, nothing drags. Great editing ! Love it. ....pat....
More of a 4 1/2⭐. This book always has something going on... kelp my attention and was hard to put down. This is Wick's and Tegan's story. Two young lover's fell in love as teenagers and meet back up 20 years later. One had a promising future and the other planned to join the local MC who's best friends father was the President of.
Would have probably never met again if one member of the club wasn't arrested and found guilty of murder. Wick took to making it his business to find him a way to get a new trial. Can't wait to see who is the people in the next book..
Wick and Tegan were teenage lovers who are separated for over 20 years. He finds her in the DAs office when he is trying to get his friend a new trial for s murder he did not commit. This is the second book in the series. Great story and hope for more soon!!
Joy you have done it again. From the very beginning I was pulled in and I couldn't put this book down. What a ride. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to kick some butt and fell in love with Wick!! I wanted to wrap him up in my arms and ease his broken heart while kicking Tegan's butt. Then she redeemed herself and I couldn't have been happier. This series has been amazing so far and I can't wait to see what happens next!
I was so excited to read this book, that I finally got to read it and couldn't put the book down. Love the characters and love how it turned out to be. Now I hope there's a third book in the series cause I would love to read it.
Wick is VP and a protector. When one of his brothers goes to jail he will do anything to get him out. Struggling to get a lawyer he comes face to face with the woman who broke his heart. Tegan is a lawyer and when Wick comes barging into her office it opens a whole can of worms and feelings
This is the second book in this series and I loved it even more than the first. Wick's story goes back to the past. To the his one true love that got away. The timeline goes back and forth but it doesn't confuse you as I've found in story books. It plays the story out so you see the full picture when you need to see it. The twists keep you guessing which leads to an exciting read. Wanting more from this MC chapter, can't wait for more.
Teagan is back and when Wick finds out he will use her any way he can to help get Nix out of prison. He can't get over the years that she left him without notice. He is fighting how he still feels for her and his need for her help. Teagan is trying to help and she finds some evidence that points to his innocence but it will take her time to get results. There is danger around every corner and they are not exactly sure where it is coming from. When the truth does come out we are left hanging as to how the head of the whole thing is involved. I did kind of find it strange that they lost one of the MC brothers and it seemed an afterthought, also considering his twin brother was hurt pretty bad as well. Wick couldn't be bothered to go check on him considering he was one of the guys who was protecting his woman.
Tegan and Wick have a love of the best kind till they don’t. When you get a first love that leave it make you bitter. They both have a hard 20 year separation. Then we are back on track with some major bumps and bruises. This love/hate leads to love again. Will you marry me? Is a constant question with these two.
Work is a second chance of love story, which I am normally not a big fan of. But wow Joy Blood managed to make the story interesting, the connection between Wick & Regan is deeper & more intense than most people would expect after 20 years. Looking forward to reading Nixon's story.
