"Two Alpha Lima" is the remarkable first hand account of the life and activities of a small military force which operated in what were once the Trucial States on the Persian Gulf. Written in the form of a diary it gives an account of the Force's first ten years, opening with a description of its formation in 1950. Its task was to protect the borders and people of what are now the United Arab Emirates from Saudi Arabian incursions. "Two Alpha Lima" chronicles the numerous incidents with which the Trucial Oman Levies and Scouts had to deal, including the blockade of the Buraimi Oasis and the first and second Oman Revolts.
