I kind of think its funny that I am a straight female and yet I am reading gay romance I have never read gay romance before the reason I read this book originally is because I have a friend who is gay that is simply in love with this book series because he has told me all about this series (a lot) I figured I would give it a go well all I can is is my friend has fabulous taste (not that he would ever let me forget that for even a second)
I may be a straight female but I simply love the guys in the series I could not stop reading at one book I just had to know what was happening in Cattle Valley ... so far I have read the first 10 books in the series and the more I read the more I fall in love with this series I think its just wonderful I hope all people gay lesbian bi straight whatever find such a happy wonderful place to live in peace and joy
I am going to read this full series once I get a chance to as I simply have to know who winds up with who this is better than watching the soaps I just love it .. :)

Ooooh how I loved Hearn and Tyler!
And bonus, we got more of Nate, Rio and Ryan, they're hands down my favorite trio!
In this one we learn of the feelings that Hearn and Tyler have for each other, even with the ghost of Mitch haunting them both in terms of not telilng each other how they feel. They both feel guilty but after a long overdue visit from Jax, everything gets cleared up and Tyler goes to be there for Hearn.
That's where things get interested.
Does it make me a terrible person that I was relieved that Mitch died? that's horrible lol but he was a pretty horrible person.

Also, we see Nate run for mayor, which I was happy about the outcome of that, he'll make an excellent mayor!
Loved seeing Tyler and Hearn with Gracie! They were so cute and perfect together.

Also can't wait to read more about Jay. I effing love this series!
On to the next!

What I started to call probably after the third or fourth episode, the Gay Soap Opera is arrived to its tenth installment. Even if from the blurb it could seem that this was only the story of Hearn and Tyler, it's instead also the story of Nate and his double-the-love partners Rio and Ryan.

One of the thing that I like of this soap opera, and probably the reason why a lot of people continue to buy book after book, is that the author introduces her characters little by little, giving some hints on their story in the book of other couples, to then devote an entire book only to them. In this way, no one of the characters is really dropped after you finish a book, since you continue to find them wandering around the city, Cattle Valley, an utopia city for LGBT people, and maybe come back on the front line like for Nate in this last book.

In one of the previous book we read how Hearn lost his lover Mitch in a car accident that involved also Tyler, his best friend. In following books, we learn how Mitch wasn't exactly a saint, cheating behind Hearn's shoulder, but Hearn continues to mourn his lost lover. People could think that he is destroyed by the pain, and instead he is eating alive by remorse. Hearn didn't love Mitch when he died, and hadn't had for years. Mitch treated him like a lesser man, always putting him down. Hearn had started to have feelings for Tyler and when Mitch died after a bitter confrontation over Tyler, Hearn thought he didn't deserve the love of a good man like Tyler.

Tyler, the florist of Cattle Valley, is a tiny and shy man who can't stand violence. From an abusive family, Tyler needs the peace and quiet that his work as florist allows him to have. He is bringing a torch for Hearn for years, but he has not the courage to confess it. But they live in a small town, and their friend intervene, someone needs to tell to Hearn how Mitch really was. Obviously there is an happy ending for Tyler and Hearn and this is something I like in this series: the author usually didn't spend all her time in letting us read the trouble two men as to face to getting together to end the book when they finally get together. Usually the odds of their relationship are surpassed quite soon, and the reader have plenty to read about their happiness together.

Then maybe Carol Lynne picks up those same characters again later for another story, like Nate Gills. Nate, Ryan and Rio were the first threesome to introduce the new series of Cattle Valley, spin off of a previous series Good-time boys. During all the following books, they grew with the series and the city, and they are almost the core of the series, all turn around them. And now the author decides to give Nate a little more space, telling a bit more on his past. Nate is the naughty elf of Cattle Valley, and his new story serves to Carol Lynne to write some nice and erotic sex scenes. Hearn and Tyler are the sweet couple of this new book, they have their share of sex, but all in all, they tend to be more sweet than erotic; on the other hand, Nate confirms is naughty core, and the scene that involves chocolate sauce and a threesome is quite nice.

Tyler Manning is trying his best to cope with his un-returned feeling for Hearn Sutherland. Tyler’s feeling for Hearn is no secret to anyone in Cattle Valley except Hearn that is. Hearn is taking the passing of his partner harder than Tyler imagined he would and it is slowly weighing Tyler down.

When an opening becomes available for the towns Mayor, Tyler sees this as his opportunity to not only encourage Hearn to apply, but to also get him out and interacting with people and secretly hopes he would interact with him.

The only fly in the ointment is that Hearn would be running against none other than Nate. Nate is the darling of Cattle Valley, and in order to run for Mayor he has to face his own blast from the past as well.

Every outing to the town of Cattle Valley is always a treat and with this visit we are not only treated to the much anticipated goings on between Hearn and Tyler but we get a bit more about Nate and his band of merry men.

Ms. Lynne has developed on a much anticipated union which started two books back between Hearn and Tyler. Hearn and Tyler are two of the sweetest members of Cattle Valley and after watching them dance around each other for the last few months we are now able to see them find each other, toss Nate into the mix and this was a really fun read.

THE LAST BOUQUET is not a stand alone book and must be read as a part of the CATTLE VALLEY SERIES of book.

This is one of the better books in the series. Why? Because it had a lot going on. First, I liked Tyler's personality. I could relate to him. Second, I liked how we got to learn more about Nate's past. That was interesting. Plus that Valentine's Day scene with Nate and chocolate and his guys was hot. And finally, we get Gracie. It's nice to see that at least one couple wants a family that includes kids.

P.S. What did Ryan and Rio do before Nate? Weren't they a couple? Why don't we see Ryan fucking Rio or vice versa? Why does Nate have to be the bottom boy all the time? Just sayin'.

Cute short story...

Tyler the florist is in love with his friend Hearn. Too bad that Hearn is stuck in mourning of his dead cheating lover Mitch.

Tyler finally breaks through and helps Hearn build his confidence back up.

I liked the side story where Tate reveals some secrets to Rio and Ryan.

This was a great read. I really liked the dual story going on and Tyler and Hearn's misguided relationship was so sweet. I really cheered them on from the very beginning.

Cried a little in this one. My heart broke and healed in this one. I have always loved Hearn and was excited to finally get the story about Mitch. Love the introduction of Gracie in the series.

This was book #10 in the Cattle Valley series by Carol Lynne. While this series offers a consistently readable chronology of M/M erotic romance, only 3 of the 10 books in the series that I've read so far have earned a 5 star rating from me. I'm happy to say that this was one of them.

The book focuses on two seperate but overlapping storylines. The first is about Hearn and Tyler, a story of two friends who finally become lovers after secretly lusting after each other for years. The obstacle that prevented them from coming together sooner was Hearn's late lover, Mitch. Having already developed feelings for Tyler, Hearn is consumed with guilt after Mitch's death. He dutifully brings fresh flowers to his ex-lover's grave on a weekly basis, all the while keeping Tyler at arm's length. Tyler is disheartened to see Hearn mourn over a man that never deserved his love, in life or in death. If only Hearn knew the truth...

The second storyline revisits the MCs from book 1, a trio of men in a menage relationship, Nate, Ryan and Rio. These are three of my favorite characters from the series and it was fun to see that their hypersexual ways have not diminished in the slightest since start of the series. Nate confronts old ghosts and must find closure before he can put his memories of his first love behind him, allowing him to move forward with his current lovers with a free and open heart.

I recommend this series for fans of M/M Romance who enjoy the idea of a town populated with sexy, gay cowboys who seem to be insatiable in the sack. While this 10th book is one of the better installments in the series, this is not a stand alone and new readers should start with book 1.

I miss so much this serie, and I found this book and said why not?
So heme aquí continuando la saga.

Y Jay, a little person who conquer the love of anyone who say hi, pero todavía no lo conocimos en persona.

This book followed two storylines. One is Nate, Ryan and Rio and the other is Hearn and Tyler. The storylines intersect but I find it an odd choice to have Nate and Hearn run for mayorship. Both characters do not seem that well suited for such a role.

Cattle Valley

We’ve seen glimpses of this couple throughout the series but it was great to see Hearne finally find out what a b*stard his cheating ex was and to see his best friend has been in love with him

Review written for Love Bytes Reviews.

Much like The Sound of White, this latest book in the Cattle Valley Series features two sets of couples: established ménage Ryan, Rio and Nate and friends turned lovers Hearn and Tyler. I have to say that I liked this a lot better than the Sound of White but I think that was in part because I was already familiar with, and really liked, Ryan, Rio and Nate. That being said, despite how much I like those three and always enjoy seeing them popping in and out of everyone else’s stories, I almost resented their ‘intrusion’ into what was essentially Hearn and Tyler’s story. Allow me to explain.

Hearn’s ex, Mitch, was a horrible human being and you get to see that a bit in regards to Jax in Bad Boy Cowboy so I was really revved up to see Hearn get his own happy ending with a man that has spent their entire friendship loving him from afar. When the truth around Mitch and his philandering ways is finally revealed, I was super excited to see Hearn and Tyler come together and was really looking forward to seeing them transition from friends to lovers. I was practically salivating at the thought of these two men finally owning up to their feelings. And then my awesome Hearn and Tyler moments were interrupted by Nate. *sigh* I can understand why the trio was included in this to a point; Nate and Hearn both end up running for Mayor now that Quade is gone and this whole thing gave the author a chance to open up about Nate’s past, a subject that has been steered clear of up until this point. So, I kind of get it. However. This was first and foremost about Tyler and Hearn and I didn’t think they got the attention they deserved because the trio took up a good portion of the pages; I mean, I already read Ryan, Rio and Nate’s story and I didn’t need more of a spotlight on them here.

I liked the book but more for watching Hearn and Tyler come together and then seeing them make a family. Honestly, if the book had just focused on them, I would’ve rated it higher but felt a little cheated by the end that I didn’t get my full dose of those two men together. I did enjoy this more than the previous book, which is a plus, and I’m looking forward to continuing the series but I’ll be honest in my hope that there aren’t any more two couple books in the future.

First of all, I was scared as hell she was ending it with this one before I read it since I saw she's starting a new series at the beginning of April and there didn't seem to be any news on another book. After reading it though, I really don't think it's the last one at all. They're still introducing new characters to be paired up and everything. So I really hope there's more to come and we get to see the other character's stories we've been waiting for.
As usual, Tyler and Hearn's story was much too rushed and fast. I was expecting her to go slower with this story since it was a rather complex situation but instead she sort of found a way to undermine, I guess, everything else we thought was going on with those characters from previous books. Hearn isn't really how I thought he'd be at all, but this was actually a great thing imo. Tyler was pretty much exactly how I saw him and in his case, that was also a good thing.[return:][return:]I thought the adoption though, was much too soon. They barely started being lovers and they bring a child in the mix immediately? That didn't work imo. As cute as it was.
The little side story of Nate's past inbetween was really unexpected and I didn't see it coming at all. It'd been a while since we had anything really focused on the trio that started it all so it was awesome to get into it with them again.[return:][return:]Another great book to this great series, with many more to come, hopefully.

Peer Review of Cattle Valley: The Last Bouquet by Carol Lynne, done by Jamie Hill
Cattle Valley: The Last Bouquet is book ten in the wildly popular series by Carol Lynne. Once again Carol gives us characters we love to root for in Tyler Manning and Hearn Sutherland. Hearn goes to Tyler’s Floral shop once a week to purchase a bouquet for his dead lover’s grave. Tyler’s been in love with Hearn for as long as he can remember, and hates to see him pining over someone who was unworthy of his love. When Valentine’s Day rolls around, the emotion becomes too much for Tyler.
Hearn and Tyler are another sexy couple in the growing Cattle Valley line-up. Once you start reading their story, you won’t want to stop. There are two wonderful side plots in the book, a touching one involving the Sheridan Home for Children, and another which gives us some back story to the wonderful Nate Gills. Both stories add depth and emotion to this enjoyable book. Nate is a fan favorite, and we can never get too much of him. If you’re a Cattle Valley fan, The Last Bouquet is a must-read. If you haven’t checked this great little town out yet, I recommend you start at the beginning and work your way through the series. You won’t be disappointed.

4,5 Sterne, aufgerundet weil's einfach Zucker ist.

Darum geht's:

Hearn bringt jede Woche frische Blumen ans Grab seines Partners Mitch.

Meine Meinung dazu gibt’s hier

Simply beautiful. The emotions in this book was described perfectly. Tyler seemed so cute and darn adorable. I hated how the ghost of Mitch still effected Hearn’s opinion of himself but I love how he blossomed into a wonderful, confident man under Tyler’s love and care. Gracie was a wonderful addition to this story. My only complaint is I would have liked the story to be based more on them and not the other characters, though I understand the need for series development. Regardless, a great addition to an already perfect series!

I loved Tyler and Hearn's story. It was nice to see Hearn learn who the real Mitch was and move on away from him to someone who is worthy of his love. The connection was great and the scenes with Gracie were so cute.

I really liked the introduction we got to Jay too, it makes me so excited to get to his book and learn even more about him and I also liked how we got more of Ryan, Rio, and Nate's story!
