Daily Guideposts, America's bestselling annual devotional, is a 365-day devotional from the Editors of Guideposts that will help readers grow in their faith every day of the year.
Daily Guideposts 2020 centers on the theme "He Performs Wonders," based on Job 5:9, and is filled with brand-new devotions from fifty writers. Each day readers will enjoy a Scripture verse, a true first-person story told in an informal, conversational style, which shares the ways God speaks to us in the ordinary events of life, and a brief prayer to help focus the reader to apply the day's message. For those who wish for more, "Digging Deeper" provides additional Bible references that relate to the day's reading.
Enjoy favorite writers like Debbie Macomber, Edward Grinnan, Elizabeth Sherrill, Patricia Lorenz, Julia Attaway, Karen Barber, Sabra Ciancanelli, Mark Collins, and Rick Hamlin.
In just five minutes a day, Daily Guideposts helps readers find the spiritual richness in their own lives and welcomes them into a remarkable family of over one million people brought together by a desire to grow every day of the year.
Guideposts is a Christian ministry sharing stories and experiences that inspire your walk with God and spread His comfort to others.
For more than 80 years, Guideposts has helped people discover the hope that only God provides. What began as a single magazine founded by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and Ruth Stafford Peale in 1945 has grown into a ministry that meets people wherever they are with encouragement and prayer.
Through books, products, programs and more, we annually help 6.5 million people find strength in Christ and comfort in connection. Our long history of outreach partnership has made us a vital source of inspiration for veterans, caregivers, people in recovery, and more. We have a bold vision to reach 17 million people (5% of the U.S. population) by 2031. Together with our customers, outreach partners, and donors, we can make a positive change in the world— one story, one prayer, one life at a time.
I look forward to an new and inspiring story night throughout the year. It's been a tradition for many years for me, one I still love! Last year I went with the digital version for the first time and loved that I always have my Daily Guideposts with me wherever I go without taking the more bulky book. 2021 is already purchased, loaded and ready to inspire me :)
I love Guideposts & I love starting my day with a devotional but it just didn't come together in this for me. I have a copy of Joyce Meyer's Starting Your Day Right & would be reading that but haven't found it since moving...missing it.
As usual, the collection of stories about faith, friendship, and family are inspiring. Regardless of where you are in your life you will find that others have probably been there and offer their viewpoints and solutions.
I really enjoy these. I have come to know the contributors as family. What wonderful journeys we have shared. I so appreciate their insight, guidance and comfort. I look forward to next year's edition!
I like practical stories of faith. Guideposts is like a community of friends-I read from many of the same authors each year. Through these devos, I see how God works in a multitude of ways, so it opens my eyes to see God in my life. I also get some wisdom too in approaching situations in my life.
I can't count how many years I've used Daily Guideposts. I love to read the day's reflection and Scripture readings as I drink my mornng coffee and contemplate the message. It's a great way to start my day.
I love these and read them every year! So many uplifting stories from real peoples lives. Helps to know you're not the only one with less than perfect lives.
I love these books and read them yearly. This year, being 2020, it was even more of a blessing in my life. Very thankful for all the authors who shared their stories.
Reading Daily Guideposts is a thoughtful way to begin the day. It allows me to take pause and reflect before delving into the day's activities, challenges, and obligations. It also encourages me to practice gratitude each day.
