Praise for Philip C. Quaintrell’s ‘The Terran Cycle’: ‘A breath of fresh air. Philip C Quaintrell is up there with Asher, Hamilton and Banks.’ – Stephen Whitfield – Amazon customer ‘Great blend of sci-fi and fantasy themes, fast-moving and packed with action.’ – Steven Matthews – Amazon customer --- AND SO IT ENDS… They wiped out humanity's ancestors. They laid waste to the Terran Empire. They destroyed Earth. Now, they have come to harvest what remains. The Conclave has been preparing for war, but no one guessed the scale of what waits on the edge of the galaxy. Humanity's battle for survival has spread across every world. The planet Evalan shelters the remnants, but too few remain to keep the enemy at bay. Kalian Gaines can only see one way to win the war. If he chooses that path, will the cost of victory be too high? With human and alien blood being spilled, Roland North is in his element. Might the fate of humanity rest on the kind of decision a natural-born scoundrel hates to make..? LEGACY CONCLUDES THIS UNMISSABLE GALAXY-SPANNING EPIC SERIES. --- ‘This is staggeringly good.’ – Kindle customer ‘This series is going to be at the top of my re-read list for the foreseeable future.’ – Jemma R – Amazon customer
Philip started his career as an emergency nurse and began writing the books he’d want to read as a hobby between shifts.
He published his first novel in 2016, and soon began his epic fantasy series, The Echoes Saga which went straight into the Amazon bestsellers list in 4 countries.
Now one of the best-selling indie authors worldwide, Philip lives in Manchester, England with his wife and two young children and is hoping this is just the beginning.
If you love Sci-fi then this is a must for you! It has great tech, interstellar travel, aliens, space battle, land battles, politics, dark varies, humour, drama, great plots, great characters, suspense and every page leaves you wanting more. I wish there were more books, I so want to find out what Kalian finds on his travels or see how humanity fare in 200 years. An all round great read!
Enjoyed the Terran Cycle a lot. Legacy is another page turner kept me engrossed every time I had some moments to spare, some interesting battle scenes with a sort of sci-fi zombie equivalent, fascinating take on human evolution (not sure the science works but, why ruin a good story). One can definitely notice the improvement in writing between the individual books (which is kinda interesting in itself). I like the characters there are a goodly number of 3d characters- always a good sign. All in all great fun!
I've really struggled over the years to find great sci-fi that has characters with depth plus the imagination to draw pictures in your mind and make you want to read more. This series has delivered. Although throughout the last book I was begging for the end (in a good way) I'm now gutted its over. Such an enjoyable read, that's left a bit of a hole I'm sure I'll struggle to fill with the same enthusiasm
Binged this over a week or two with the audiobook. First entry was definitely rough, but things really hit their stride further along. I would love to read more in the series, but who knows if that will happen. And because of that, I’m very glad Phillip left things with a solid conclusion while also hinting at the possibility of more. Good ending to a good read, from one Phil to another, thanks!
... but Mr. Quaintrell managed to take this sometimes insane, always suspenseful, and sometimes downright scary saga to a highly satisfactory conclusion!
If you love this genre as I do, and enjoy fast paced action, suspense, and intrigue, you Must read this series.
But be warned: once you pick this up, it's really difficult to put down!
But don't take, my word for it! Find out for yourself!
I haven't read a space sci fi book in a long time. Picked this one because I love the author and have read all his fantasy sci fi books. This series had me from the beginning. Should be a movie. Highly recommend this to all readers of this genre. Mr Quaintrell my hat is off to you for these books please write more I want to see what happens in the future for Karian. Thanks for the ride.
I just finished reading the last book in The Terran Cycle series. I thought of so many things to say (even now, I’m tempted to write a few paragraphs of reflections and praise), but I'm not very good with words. So I just want to say: thank you so much!
Thank you for creating this story, thank you for sharing this world and these incredible characters. Above all, thank you for having the courage to write something truly epic.
Philip Quaintrell is a talented author with a creative and entertaining mind. I have read his other works, and they too are very well done. He has a unique way to his writing that I have trouble describing, but I very much enjoyed every one of his books. Thanks Philip Steve
I’ve just finished reading the four books of The Terran Cycle. What a thrilling journey through the Galaxy and I’m hoping that one day this brilliant author will find time to revisit the many worlds of his creation, and allow his imagination to give us The Terran Cycle - Part 2.
This was my first break from fantasy is a while. I’m glad he didn’t rush the conclusion just to wrap it up. This was a really good series: great characters, setting, pace, and very original story. Thanks for writing.
Very sad to have finished this series, I’ve absolutely adored it. The characters are brilliant and the story was so gripping I was always waiting eagerly for the next release.
It really was a pleasure reading these books, and I honestly hope Phillip tellsus more about what Roland and Killian do later in life. Side note: I'm good if I never see the word nanocellium ever again
AI and humans part ways as a new adventure begins.
Our heroes grow to take their rightful place in the galaxy and Alf takes the rest of his kind to restart without people around. The series allows the story to unfold and for e everyone to find their right place. Enjoy the ride.
I've just finished the Terran cycle books and absolutely loved them. Great writing, intelligent story and recognisable characters. I would definitely recommend them to all. I look forward to a future where we meet the characters again.
I just finished this series which I read while waiting for the finale of Echoes.of Fate. I love Quaintrell's writing style. My only regret is that he hasn't written more books.
Wow! I finished this series and love the characters, action and depth of immersive background. Thank you for writing a series I can escape from the worries of life for a while.
Fourth time thru this series. Absolutely love it each time. I love Philip's writing style. Great world building, interesting characters with great story arcs. All without the need for overly obscene of perverted phrasing and smut. Huge fan of the Echoes Saga, keep up the great work my dude.
