Their discovery changes everything. It must be suppressed.
Cosega Storm continues from the frightening final seconds of Cosega Search, the series’ first book. Gaines and Asher, caught in a storm of deceit, corruption and power, desperately struggle to escape. But running isn’t enough. They must piece together the mystery of Clastier’s life, understand the incredible artifacts, and somehow discover what links them all together.
What really happened in the past, and how will it change the future? As each extraordinary secret of the Eysen is revealed, the danger escalates. The more Gaines learns, the less he knows who he can trust. But his most difficult challenge is the paradox of the Cosega Sequence. Failing to decode it in time will cost him his life, yet succeeding means he must die.
Discover enough of the past . . . you may just destroy the future.
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Brandt Legg uses his unusual real life experiences to create page-turning novels. He’s traveled with CIA agents, dined with senators and congressmen, mingled with astronauts, chatted with governors and presidential candidates, had a private conversation with a Secretary of Defense he still doesn’t like to talk about, hung out with Oscar and Grammy winners, had drinks at the State Department, been pursued by tabloid reporters, and spent a birthday at the White House by invitation from the President of the United States.
At age eight, Legg's father died suddenly, plunging his family into poverty. Two years later, while suffering from crippling migraines, he started in business, and turned a hobby into a multi-million-dollar empire. National media dubbed him the “Teen Tycoon,” and by the mid-eighties, Legg was one of the top young entrepreneurs in America, appearing as high as number twenty-four on the list (when Steve Jobs was #1, Bill Gates #4, and Michael Dell #6). Legg still jokes that he should have gone into computers.
By his twenties, after years of buying and selling businesses, leveraging, and risk-taking, the high-flying Legg became ensnarled in the financial whirlwind of the junk bond eighties. The stock market crashed and a firestorm of trouble came down. The Teen Tycoon racked up more than a million dollars in legal fees, was betrayed by those closest to him, lost his entire fortune, and ended up serving time for financial improprieties.
After a year, Legg emerged from federal prison, chastened and wiser, and began anew. More than twenty-five years later, he’s now using all that hard-earned firsthand knowledge of conspiracies, corruption and high finance to weave his tales. Legg’s books pulse with authenticity.
His series have excited nearly a million readers around the world. Although he refused an offer to make a television movie about his life as a teenage millionaire, his autobiography is in the works. There has also been interest from Hollywood to turn his thrillers into films. With any luck, one day you’ll see your favorite characters on screen.

Although many readers have enjoyed the whole series, Book 2 was mainly chases by assassins and government officials with very little added about the artifact which is the major element of the story. Was a fabulous beginning of the series with Book 1, but the continuing saga was bogged down with too many monotonous and uninteresting chapters.
Enjoyed the first book in this series (trilogy?). This book seemed to be just a 260 page chase sequence. Doubt I will spend the time reading the next one.
A lot can happen in just a few days, at least that's the case in Brandt Legg's second Cosega book. It's hard to believe that the main character can remain at large with so many trying to kill or capture him, but the author does a good job coming up with unusual ways for the main character to escape, and keeping the reader on edge.
After reading book one in the Cosega's series, I was excited to see how Rip and Gail were going to get away from the FBI, CIA, NSA and agents from the Vatican. If that's not enough intrigue for you, then you're just hard to please.
In Cosega Storm Rip and Gail no longer know who to trust and the more they learn about the Eysen the less they understand.
This book is filled with complex characters. relationships and the ending will leave you with your mouth hanging open.
This is a great series and I can't wait to read book three.
The second book in the Cosega Sequence series is as fascinating, fast-paced, action-filled and generally a read that is very difficult to put down. Ripley Gaines’ first elusive artifact keeps threatening its finder and the entire world alongside with him, as Gaines and Asher struggle against impossible odds, because to try to escape is just not enough. If they don't discover the links to the artifacts by trying to piece together the past and the mystery it reveals all may be lost. The choices Gaines faces bode no good for him personally, whichever way he turns. The danger escalates, and the dilemma, and the need to solve the paradox in time, before it's too late. Like the first book, this one is masterly done, full of action, intrigue, suspense and great plot and characters. Highly recommended!
Wow! I couldn't put the 1st one down and I couldn't put this one down either. In this book 2, they were being chased more and didn't really have time to study the Eysen, but it was still fast-paced and exciting and it was nice to read more about Clastier. Can't wait to read book 3!!
There are some concepts here I do not really agree with but this is after all fiction but as far as the thrill and action are concerned... the author most definitely delivered. Rip and Gale are now following Clastier's clues, letters and artifacts he left on the churches where he preached and with loyal friends and family in Taos, New Mexico with the FBI, NSA and the Vatican agents in hot pursuit including Booker (the supplier of most of the NSA's techs and Rip's billionaire friend and patron). Now that Rip is declared an outlaw, the only ones who can help him would be other outlaws and or criminals plus Booker if he can trust the man. With ample cash (from a former drug dealer) to make their lives as fugitives a little bit easier, the pair made great progress in trying to learn the Eysen's secrets while being hunted by the elite forces of their own government and the Holy See.
Another page-turner in this series. Rip, Gale and their many pursuers are still in the southwest part of the country I know so it was easy to follow their travels. Rip isn’t sure who he can trust. Government agencies, private individuals and even the Catholic Church want the Eysen, his archeological find, but he still hasn’t had time to find all of its secrets. Like the first book, this is told from a number of characters’ points of view, so we know what each group plans, but that doesn’t keep the novel from being exciting, full of twists and surprises. Like the first book in the series, this one ends with a cliffhanger of sorts and so I will soon start the third book in the series.
I enjoyed book two as much as book 1 and am waiting now to borrow book 3 from kindle lenders library. There were a few bits that were a bit strung out and it was at times difficult to remember which character belonged to which agency, Vatican, CIA FBI, or NSA. However this did not distract too much from the plot and the book finished on another cliff hanger leaving you wanting more. Well written and still leaving you guessing as to what the ensyn really is and its meaning. Some series can drag on unnecessarily with pointless threads to the plot, but these ones so far have kept me interested.
The first book was really good but thus one turned a little complicated for my test. It went from a good conspiracy to a story of everyone against everyone without a reason. Suddenly there is too many groups against the characters and nothing new is discovered of the Cosega search, the eysen or Castlier. The ending is weird and it seem too much of an effort to get you interested in reading the next one. Maybe for people who likes series is a good read. But if you are looking for a stand alone or something simple and exciting to read, this is not.for.you.
I have never experienced before in any book such a whirlwind of betrayal, lust for power and sheer mistrust as portrayed in Cosega Storm by author Brandt Legg. Just about any step Rip Gaines and Gale takes is done in the shade of death following closely on their heels in this book. The scope of coverage by a number of parties all desiring to get their hands on the Eysen is mindboggling. Escaping that much attention is nearly impossible. But, can they do so anyhow? Author Brandt Legg certainly knows how to tie knots in a reader's belly with this suspenseful SciFi thriller. Enjoy.
I started on this book immediately after finishing number one in the serie. And number three is my next read.
The story is still interesting and exiting, but I found some passages a little long and almost boring. Anyway, I still recommend but read the books in right order.
I would love to see the Cosega-series as a movie, I find many elements that are well suited for a big screen.
Finally got around to reading the next in this series. Quickly reminded of the tension built in the first one - Cosega Search. This moves the story on quickly and builds the same dramatic tension. Not knowing who they can trust, Rip and Gail are running for their lives from the NSA, the FBI and the Vatican who are all after the artefact for very different reasons. Looking forward to the final instalment!
I love this author's books , however I am not so crazy about cliffhangers . Rip Gaines and Gale are on the run with the artifact . Their travels go throughout the southwest and they are aided by multiple people . They are being tracked by every federal agency and the Vatican . The very top levels of government are involved and it is a treacherous run. Who can they believe ?
This is an action-packed thriller. The story continues from The Cosega Sequence #1. Archaeologist, Rip Gaines and writer, Gale Asher, are on the run from Vatican agents, NSA agents, FBI agents and a wealthy tech mogul named Booker after finding a relic which Gaines calls the Eysen, from over 11 million years before. Each wants the Eysen for their own purposes, and the two must figure out who to trust in this thriller.
If you get this far in this series (only Book 2) then you'll know you're caught. I know I am. The writing is sharp and exciting. Who among us hasn't thought about ancient times and the possibilities in an unknown future? Off I go to read Book 3. I suggest you do too!
This and all the other books in this series are almost impossible to put down once you start reading them. Very well written the only flaw is they are so addictive. Any projects you have scheduled to start in the near future please wait and start them after the Cosega. The books are that addictive.
Could this book have been more boring?! I was really intrigued by the first book, but this one was a total letdown. The whole book consisted of Rip and Gale being chased endlessly by government agencies and the Vatican and we learn very little about the Cosega Theory and the Eysen itself. I won’t be reading the next book for fear of it being the same tedious chase.

The idea of the novel is really good. However the storyline is too simple and flat. There are many supporting storylines that can be expanded further but didn’t.
I love a good book that keeps you inside a story and Cosega Storm does that in spades. You have your two main characters running scared from five different sanctions, not knowing who they can trust.
Book #2 was as great to read as the first. Keeping you reading when you should be doing other things. Which for me means it's a great read. Onto book #3 ...You need to find out...'What's next for Rip?'
A thrilling story continues! The “Eysen” is wanted by the Vatican, the NSA, the FBI, a billionaire, and several other groups. While fleeing for their lives and having friends killed along the way, Gale and Rip try to understand what is the ball of light, and what is it’s purpose.

I thought that this was an okay read. It was well paced, and both the conspiracy and mysticism deepens. Again this was not a complete book as it lacked any real conclusion. Part 3 of the Cosega Sequence (Cosega Shift) picks up the story.
A real page turner from start to finish. Gets a little confusing at times with so many agents from different organisations chasing our lead characters it's difficult to remember who is who. Still, its packed with action and adventure, and is well worth reading.
Could not put this one down either. The author puts out a story - well researched and very believable characters! Have to jump into Book 3 immediately!!!
