The Eysen has revealed secrets that exceed the most fantastical imaginings. But the combination of knowledge and destiny are dangerous.
As the world’s strongest powers move in on him, Gaines learns his enemies are nearer than his friends. They will do anything to obtain the Eysen and silence him. With time running out, the lost Clastier Papers may hold the key. Who were the Cosegans? What did they want us to see? And, what did they need us to know?
Destroy enough of the past . . . you may just dictate the future.
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Brandt Legg uses his unusual real life experiences to create page-turning novels. He’s traveled with CIA agents, dined with senators and congressmen, mingled with astronauts, chatted with governors and presidential candidates, had a private conversation with a Secretary of Defense he still doesn’t like to talk about, hung out with Oscar and Grammy winners, had drinks at the State Department, been pursued by tabloid reporters, and spent a birthday at the White House by invitation from the President of the United States.
At age eight, Legg's father died suddenly, plunging his family into poverty. Two years later, while suffering from crippling migraines, he started in business, and turned a hobby into a multi-million-dollar empire. National media dubbed him the “Teen Tycoon,” and by the mid-eighties, Legg was one of the top young entrepreneurs in America, appearing as high as number twenty-four on the list (when Steve Jobs was #1, Bill Gates #4, and Michael Dell #6). Legg still jokes that he should have gone into computers.
By his twenties, after years of buying and selling businesses, leveraging, and risk-taking, the high-flying Legg became ensnarled in the financial whirlwind of the junk bond eighties. The stock market crashed and a firestorm of trouble came down. The Teen Tycoon racked up more than a million dollars in legal fees, was betrayed by those closest to him, lost his entire fortune, and ended up serving time for financial improprieties.
After a year, Legg emerged from federal prison, chastened and wiser, and began anew. More than twenty-five years later, he’s now using all that hard-earned firsthand knowledge of conspiracies, corruption and high finance to weave his tales. Legg’s books pulse with authenticity.
His series have excited nearly a million readers around the world. Although he refused an offer to make a television movie about his life as a teenage millionaire, his autobiography is in the works. There has also been interest from Hollywood to turn his thrillers into films. With any luck, one day you’ll see your favorite characters on screen.

5 stars. Digital book. OH! MY! GOD! I could not stop gasping! We twisted, we turned, I was HOOKED! And the ending! Go off Booker. This trilogy is 100% a complete set and you could stop here but in no world am I not continuing on.
The Cosega Shift, the third book in the Cosega series opens with a bang, and a near-death moment: “Rip’s last thought before he collapsed into the water was of Eysen, and the incomplete Cosega sequence.” The writing is dynamic. It does not let go until the conclusion, which on the flip side, reveals that the end of the Cosega sequence holds the secret of our beginning. The cosmic secret is also a deeply personal one. “The only hope for the future is locked within each of us.”
The Eysen can reveal a combination of knowledge and destiny, which are deemed dangerous by some entities. Gaines finds out the “it was not a machine at all. What it was exactly might never be known, but no longer was he separate and merely on the outside looking in. He was part of everything the Eysen held.”
Written in snappy chapters that advance the plot quickly, this is a book that holds your attention to the end, and brings the trilogy to a grand ending.
This book was a great ending to the series. The suspense continues throughout this last book, and I wasn't left with unanswered questions in the end. Great series!
Again, as I do not cater to the concept of saving the world from the inevitable in the natural progression of things or in culling the world's population as to who deserves to live or who does not as the result of war and pestilence and/or plague... this book eventually reached where it is supposed to end up. One of the Divinations or prophecies on the Clastier's Papers was the fall of the Roman Catholic Church and this already happened in this third book as for the other prophecies, those are similar to that of what John wrote on Revelations regarding the reduction of the world's population through wars, famine (pestilence) and plague. Climate change was also part of the Divinations and this is happening right now. This maybe fiction but there is some Truth in it plus in this fantastic ending almost everyone in the world has his/her own Eysen INUs (Information Navigation Units) of sorts courtesy of Booker and his technology replacing most people's lifelines like their cellphones, pcs, and laptops including television.
This third novel of this series is a thriller to recapture readers. Just who (or what) created Earth? The Cosega Theory implies humans had lived in some form of an advanced society significantly predating our current timelines. Now, the most powerful religion, government, and billionaire in the world were fighting over the possession of the Eysen globe. It is an 11 million year old computer system which is in the hands of Archaeologist Ripley Gaines. He is being hunted and time is running out. He must find the lost Clastier Papers which may be the key to just who were the Cosegans. A very creative, thrilling novel which I could not put down. Read the first and second novels in this series before reading this one. It's one heck of a story created by author Brandt Legg.
Never mind the age of the Eysen (it's millennia old) it's tech is and remains futuristic enough to keep anyone's mouth hanging open in amazement. Yes, drooling is kind of a normal reaction. Even for Rip who keeps on trying to discover how to handle it adequately. Yet, he and Gale is hunted for this Eysen in a way nobody ever had to experience. Death lurks just about everywhere, especially also with those that somehow lent these two fugitives a helping hand, however small. It is rather interesting how wary even I started becoming as events started moving to a climax. Cosega Shift certainly amazes in ways the hunt for Rip and Gale could and did expand. Author Legg Brandt certainly knows how to generate that feeling of wariness that keeps one anxiously paging through the book to see what else can go wrong. Enjoy
If you are looking for a series of books, based in science fiction but is a thriller as well, then this series is for you. Rip Gaines and Gale Asher are still on the run and do not know who to trust to keep them safe. Rip finally understands that the artifact he calls the Eysen is not a computer but does not understand what it actually is as it is 10.8 million years old and holds great technology. The Church at the end of the book collapses as people do not see a reason to have a belief in God. After The Church collapses, the Vatican is raided, and the assets are seized by others. He also wants to find a way to prevent Clastier's Divinations which include a pandemic, World War III and the end of humankind.
The Eye continues to surprise Rip. The amazing number of people and agencies trying to find / kill him for the device is mind boggling . The author has a great imagination and as I am living in a time where the government is so corrupted and intent on running our lives I wonder if he might have one . Lol you never really know, if you are just a peon. I have also read the Justar series and highly recommend both for terrific sci fi reading .
The book sounds like it rose out of discuss from a disgruntled excatholic. The info concerning the catholic machine was mostly true but the mistake made by the author is there is no recognition at all of the true church! He simply dismissed the existence of millions and millions of people! He also wrote a "fantacy" that struggled to banish GOD from reality! All in all a silly peace of work that just wasn't fun enough to even finish! This was born of one man's anger and bitterness.
But the story in books one and two was so riveting that I had to buy it. You've got 4, then 5 groups vying for an object that will change the world. But the 2 main characters end up with it in the end. A all is good for 7 years, then problems arise again. Book 4 will describe those problems. So again, I have to decide whether to buy book 4 or not. This is addictive!
This really wrapped up a lot of questions that the first about the original plot in book 1. Then book two. Was a great read, but you need book one & two. Thought the premise of these stories was awesome timely and scary. Fast paced, a thrilling ride from beginning to end. Can’t wait to read last two. Loving this author
Rip Gains continues his search for information on the Eysen and the Corsega Sequence as just every agency in the US government, the Vatican and the private billionaire Booker are after him to either kill or capture him and gain possession of the Eysen. Back and forth, captures and escapes, helpers killed and hunters as well the story goes as he tries to unravel the secret of the Eysen.
Finished the series I thought but turns out there is a book #4...Probably won't read it. I liked the style and story but really kept reading to find out if they made it out alive. Good reading if you like fast paced action and intricate conspiracy plots.
I thought that this was an okay read. It was well paced, and both the conspiracy and mysticism continued. This book contains the conclusion for the first three books. After three books of being chased the ending seemed a little abrupt and unconvincing.
Never ending action and suspense. Who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. Everyone is against everyone. An interesting amount of sci-fi to tead about as well.
