The USA Today bestselling author of The Last Librarian.
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Brandt Legg uses his unusual real life experiences to create page-turning novels. He’s traveled with CIA agents, dined with senators and congressmen, mingled with astronauts, chatted with governors and presidential candidates, had a private conversation with a Secretary of Defense he still doesn’t like to talk about, hung out with Oscar and Grammy winners, had drinks at the State Department, been pursued by tabloid reporters, and spent a birthday at the White House by invitation from the President of the United States.
At age eight, Legg's father died suddenly, plunging his family into poverty. Two years later, while suffering from crippling migraines, he started in business, and turned a hobby into a multi-million-dollar empire. National media dubbed him the “Teen Tycoon,” and by the mid-eighties, Legg was one of the top young entrepreneurs in America, appearing as high as number twenty-four on the list (when Steve Jobs was #1, Bill Gates #4, and Michael Dell #6). Legg still jokes that he should have gone into computers.
By his twenties, after years of buying and selling businesses, leveraging, and risk-taking, the high-flying Legg became ensnarled in the financial whirlwind of the junk bond eighties. The stock market crashed and a firestorm of trouble came down. The Teen Tycoon racked up more than a million dollars in legal fees, was betrayed by those closest to him, lost his entire fortune, and ended up serving time for financial improprieties.
After a year, Legg emerged from federal prison, chastened and wiser, and began anew. More than twenty-five years later, he’s now using all that hard-earned firsthand knowledge of conspiracies, corruption and high finance to weave his tales. Legg’s books pulse with authenticity.
His series have excited nearly a million readers around the world. Although he refused an offer to make a television movie about his life as a teenage millionaire, his autobiography is in the works. There has also been interest from Hollywood to turn his thrillers into films. With any luck, one day you’ll see your favorite characters on screen.

Good game book to share with your family and friends family and family family yt ytttr is the morning good night good to 💤 was the morning time fun good
Here is hoping kruse makes a reappearance. Sorry but you need at least one more book to wrap it all up. It still feels too open ended. Really liked books 1 and 2. I kind of thought Savina was going to end up being Rip and Gail's daughter. Grown and also not born yet because time is a funny thing.
Whoa!!! First of all I didn't know there was a 4th book. I thought this was a trilogy. Imagine my surprise when I found out Brandt Legg wrote a 4th book. Of course I'm gonna read it since I enjoyed the "trilogy". Well, a 1/4 of the way in this book, I thought I'd probably give it 4 stars (I gave the other books 5 stars each) because there were too many acronyms to remember and I was getting confused, and also there was the CIA, NSA, the Foundation,... and again, getting confused and irritated. Way too many people to keep track of. But I kept reading because it was still very interesting. As I continued to read, it got less confusing and I thought, ok, 4.5 stars. Understanding the Eysen-Sphere was interesting as it was in each book. Then there was the ending and I was a little let down. I feel like it ended too quickly. There was an explanation at the end of who the Cosegans were but I felt there were still questions that weren't answered. Then it went to the epilogue right away. There were some comments from readers about how this book spent too much time chasing after Rip and Gale, but I enjoyed it. I loved how Booker was one step ahead of everyone and it was interesting how he did it. So, kinda sad that I'm not giving this book 5 stars since I gave 5 stars to the other 3 books, but all in all, still a great ride. Still recommend this book.
This is book four of the Cosega Sequence series. If you like series of thrillers and science fiction this series is for you. This story picks up seven years after book #3, the world thinks that Rip Gaines and Gale Asher are dead after a helicopter that supposedly carried them (in book 3) crashed. They now have a daughter who is 6 years old, and they live in protective custody provided by Booker. After their daughter, Cira, has an accident on a playground, the pursuers become aware that Gaines and Asher survived the crash and race to Fiji to capture them. Booker employs several means for their escape but must leave Cira in Fiji as she cannot be moved or else she may end up blind. Asher and Gaines find out there are more 'Eysens' and that in order to prevent the Divinations from coming true must find the others and the people that study them. During the 7 years an organization called the Foundation has replaced the Vatican in trying to find Asher and Gaines. The Foundation is working on a project called the Phoenix Initiative which would introduce a virus that would kill millions but leave some people alive who would be under control of the Foundation. Savina works for the Foundation but at the end of the book remains unconvinced that Booker is working to save the world, and that the Foundation is the only way that humankind can be saved.
Time is fickle. That is mostly what the Crying Man tried to convey to Rip in Cosega Shift. And it seemed like the Cosega books ended perhaps in a natural trllogy with perhaps a new set of characters to follow in the subsequent set. A day later that is exactly what niggled at my mind when a day later I discovered that Cosega Sphere is set seven years later what with Gale and Rip still studying the Eysen. They also happen to have a youngster named Cira, all living still well hidden from the "enemy" Time certainly passed quickly from one book to the next. As does new dangers and challenges. And a new budding "sphere" holder called Savina. Then time had to take a backspace to my insisting on reading Cosega Sphere non stop. Oh boy! As might you. Enjoy
To start out, I was never much of a reader. However all that changed when I happened to run across the Consega series, authored by Brandt Legg. Not only does he develops the character, the reader gets immersed into their lives. I also appreciate that our imagination is pushed to the limits by embracing past historical sites with possibly a glimpse of our future. I found it intriguing that this particular book had some earmarks of our supposed global pandemic (Covid-19) and population control through Pharma or the “Phoenix Initiative”. Overall, another great book!

I swore that I would not buy book 2. Then I did. Then I really did not want to buy book 3. Then I bought it. After an internal debate with myself I bought book 4. While reading this one I found out that this author has 12 to 15 additional related books. I'm going to try and have self control this time. But I have the feeling that I will be buying the Cosega Series book 5 very soon.
I've all 4 Bodega books, all were great reads. Lots of ST suspense with many eventful sequences. This being book 4 brings an unexpected end but very fitting. The author is to be commended, his story telling is excellent. I will continue to read his books till I read them all!
And the fabulous read continues! What a fantastic story this author weaves - it may be science fiction, but, a lot of things that are happening now is our world or could possibly happen in the future can be seen in this book. Outstanding story that keeps me captivated - can't wait to read the next book in the sequence.
This story was a work of such timing and answers. It was so much like what I myself have asked. But, was it really just fiction? I wonder! Do we really just evolve and go on?
I thoroughly enjoyed the first three books in this series, but this fourth one was a mess. There were far too many agencies and far too many characters, making it a confusing read. Thought the conclusion was weak.
I can't put into words myself of the brilliance of plots and the interweaving of the people who are brought forth some new, others from the beginning of the book or series. All of Brandt Legg's books are fabulous and this one doesn't disappoint.
perfect ending for the series. It makes you think how things are really in the real world. how things could be now and in our future. i hope there are good guys out there like booker and rip in real life!!!
I loved the four books so far and are looking forward to the fifth. It was very well written and held my interest. I would recommend them to anyone who likes adventure stories with a twist.
This series of books kept me up later and got me up earlier because I wanted to know how the latest crises or story twist came out. Great reading and tough to put down.
This is a fascinating Saga. Better than anything in the Star Trek series or others. Legg is definitely one of the best sci-fi fantasy writers I have ever enjoyed. His detail and imagination are extraordinary!
The beginning of this book was a little hard to follow with the new characters after a 7 year time span, but then I was drawn in just like the other 3.
I read this series and other readers gave it five stars but I can not remember the story after 4 weeks. From the blurb and other readers, I gather that it was a light, inoffensive read. I must have been really bored to finish these books. I can give the rest a quiet pass.
I could feel myself moving away from science fiction again but for the first time there are well written, entertaining movies and shows covering the genre. From the Expanse, Dune, Foundation through Thai horror and Indian mythological, there is a lot from which to choose. Netflix is definitely the first stop but then the other services are also producing really good shows. I am loving it.
My main entertainment has become YouTube. The services are good backup but the tubers are funny, interesting, cover so many areas of interest that I am not bored or least not for long. The long videos and essays always have references that allow further reading options, when you decide to dive down the rabbit hole.
I have to make my sample list now, so let's go.

I am a communist, so it will not surprise most that I do not hold Amazon in high regard. They reached new lows after I was harassed by an employee. See my review of "Powers of the Earth", the comments -the most vile were deleted, the other reviews. cgr710/Claes Rees, Jr is particularly revealing. Let us say that over three years, Goodreads was different to what I expected. It was less bibliophilic and more american thug. Not a fan of either site.
What I have noticed is that none of these " free speech" advocates handle different opinions well. They might be more comfortable in Russia, it seems that Putin has solved free speech by jailing middle aged women holding up blank placards in public. Now that's freedom. You could buy Z t-shirts to support Europe and America's favorite fascist. To you, I say.
GLORY TO UKRAINE !
Forget the ugliness for now. I want that the rest of you have the best morning, the most refreshing afternoon, the most pleasant evening and the most wonderful night. Hope is not a sprinter, rather a marathoner.
With the ending of the last book of the Cosega Sequence series, Cosega Shift, it wasn’t clear whether there would be an additional book to the series because the series could have easily concluded at that point. One of my gripes about the series was that too much time was spent on having every agency in existence that is referred to by an acronym attempting to pursue and capture the two main characters, Ripley Gaines and Gale Asher. Gaines and Asher were on the most wanted list because they possessed a unique piece of technology known as an Eysen, an alien spherical object that appears to project images of humanities past and possible future. This technological wonder was the really interesting aspect of the series, yet Legg did not really go into any details on what it really is and how it actually came into being, which was rather disappointing. Well, Legg has made up for that, as the Eysen is the main focus in this newest addition to the series, Cosega Sphere.
The story begins seven years after the events that occurred at the ending of the Cosega Shift. Asher and Gaines now have a six year old daughter, who has recently been severely injured. Up to this point, Asher and Gaines have been incognito, but their daughter’s injury has placed them now on the radar of every agency with an acronym with one exception, the Vatican boys that had been so endearing in the previous novels. In their place is a new villain, The Foundation, which comprises primarily wealthy members who have their own agenda for the Eysen.
For those that are fans of the series, the Cosega Sphere is a refreshing continuation of the series and a must read, as it begins to answer questions that were left unanswered in the previous novels. This is not a standalone novel, as it is necessary to read the previous novels to truly understand the story. For those of you that haven’t read the previous novels, it will be worth your time to check them out, as it is a fun scifi-technothriller with plenty of nonstop action. The Cosega Sphere is clearly not the ending, as I presume that there will be an additional novel, so I wait with bated breath until the next one comes out.
Seven years after the events of the previous trilogy,’Cosega Sphere’ reintroduces us to Brandt Legg’s protagonists with a rhythm and pace that immediately have the reader flipping pages. And if you think the start of this continuation of bestseller Legg’s mind-blowing series gets your heart thumping, hang on tight, as the ride reaches levels of intrigue and danger that surpass anything Rip and Gale have encountered before. Their enemies are no longer just trying to gain control over the mysterious Eysen Sphere but of their six-year-old daughter too, in a battle of global chess with the future of Mankind as the stakes. Author Legg serves up another helping of the Cosega series in response to overwhelming requests from his fans, as he states in the afterword, yet kicks off the novel, and the concept, in another direction in a brilliant manner. Whereas the previous books have been more about the quest for controlling the Sphere and its secrets, this one focuses on a far more human element – survival. On the one hand the survival of Cira, the young daughter of Rip and Gale; on the other the very survival of man as a species. This deadly micro/macro game with opposing factions plying for power and the control of Mankind’s future is expertly woven by the writer’s pen into a tale that will have you thinking long after the last word has been read. It is a very moralistic book, but in a subtle way. Yes, there is an extremely clear message regarding governments and their role as people’s representatives, and the increasing shift towards a future dominated less by states and more by giant corporations, yet, for me at least, the lesson that stuck in my mind after reading the novel is more about our need as a race to stop looking for solutions from others and make an effort to create them ourselves. Fix ourselves to fix our future. A powerful novel, with a strong message. Highly recommended.
Another great book by Brandt. I loved the way he weaved several different plot lines and merged them together as the book progressed. He creates a great deal of suspense. I typically read before bed, but Cosega Sphere caused me to get less sleep, because I didn't want to put it down.
I highly recommend this book, but highly suggest you read the series in sequence.
