20 Answers: The Early Church

Rate this book
How did the Church begin and spread?

Why is it important to learn about early Christianity?

Who were the successors of the apostles and other leaders of the early Church?

Were the doctrines and sacraments of the early Church different from those of the Catholic Church today?

As Catholics we can’t truly know who we are without knowing where we came from—those earliest Christians who, succeeding Jesus and the apostles, codified and built upon the teachings they inherited. 20 Answers: The Early Church reveals the legacy of our forefathers in the Faith, showing how they lived and what they believed. And perhaps most importantly, how the Church they governed, guarded, and preached was the same Church that Jesus founded and the same Church that we have inherited almost two millennia later.

The 20 Answers Series from Catholic Answers offers hard facts, powerful arguments, and clear explanations of the most important topics facing the Church and the world—all in a compact, easy-to-read package. Check out dozens of other topics in the 20 Answers Series of booklets published by Catholic Answers Press.

Succinct answers to questions you've either thought or been unable to refute in this 77 page pocket-sized book . I learned of many falsehoods Protestants have been taught about the Catholic faith which helps me understand their response to the Church that Jesus established. Explanations of the Magisterium and tradition (human vs. Sacred) enlightened my understanding of terms I've heard for years. I would have liked the section on the seven books of the Bible the Protestants dropped to be longer.
