Tamiko slips up on social media in the eighth delicious book in the Sprinkle Sundays series from the author of the Cupcake Diaries series!
Tamiko makes a snarky comment on social media meant only for her friends to see, but she accidentally posts it on the Molly’s website and it goes viral! Even though she removes the comment almost immediately, people have already taken screenshots of it and she’s labeled as one of the mean girls at school. Can Tamiko say she’s sorry and make everything right again—with a cherry on top?
Coco Simon always dreamed of opening a cupcake bakery, but she’s afraid she would eat all the profits. When she’s not daydreaming about cupcakes, Coco edits children’s books and has written close to 100 books for children, tweens, and young adults, which is a lot less than the number of cupcakes she’s eaten. Cupcake Diaries is the first time Coco has mixed her love of cupcakes with writing.
Banana Splits by Coco Simon is a light, enjoyable read that’s perfect for younger readers. As an adult, I found it fun and sweet—like a bite-sized treat—but it truly shines for kids who are navigating friendships, family changes, and growing up. The story is relatable, the characters are charming, and the cupcake club setting adds a playful touch. Great for middle-grade readers who love stories with heart and a sprinkle of drama.
I read aloud this book and it's about the same description as "Mia measures up". But, the thing is Mia's mother confiscated her phone while this book does the same. But the difference is Mia ends up getting upset while Tamiko is instead dissapointed whatsoever. I know I respect this author, but this considered not the best book she wrote. 4 stars.

This is a good book about apologizing even when you don’t think you did something wrong or when you didn’t mean to be mean or do anything wrong. People can misconstrue things all the time, especially online.
This book would be a good little lesson to kids who don’t love apologizing.
SO GOOD, love Coco Simon, I get Ally and Sierra AND pretty much ALL the characters because they're so relatable. Please read this series, please read all of the Coco Simon books, period.
Great book! Would recommend for ages 9-13. This boom teaches us about friendships and how to know when enough is enough, while also teaching us how to fix our mistakes!
