Lyndia had always thought the little strange occurrences were just coincidence, but as they became more frequent, she knew she needed to find the cause. She had not, however, expected that cause to be that there was a fantasy kingdom accessible through her backyard. Even more surprising was that the creatures of Midalia had been trying to get her attention because they need her help. Once she finally convinces herself that the things that are happening are real, she just has to convince her husband to join her so they can save Midalia from the creatures trying to destroy it...
Born and raised in northern New Jersey, I went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both my Bachelor's degree in English and Psychology and for Master of Arts in Teaching - English. I was an NCAA varsity athlete (Fencing) all four years, though you certainly wouldn't guess it. I love the sport and all the people it introduced to me, including my wonderful husband.
After graduation, I stayed in the Chapel Hill area, and settled down in Hillsborough, NC, with my husband, son, and daughter. My kids (and my husband) are adorable and exhausting and I love them to the moon and back, along with the rest of my family spread out along the Atlantic coast and in parts of Europe.
Writing has always been a part of my life, and I intend to keep it that way. Now that I teach as an adjunct and in the writing center at Alamance Community College, I am hoping to put more time into writing. I also recently finished my MA in English and Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University.
