About the author

Angelica Markus, an educator who lived in the Big Apple, and fell in love with the Sunshine State. Her love for martial arts and supernatural stories is what brought her to write an urban fantasy. She has also published a historical fiction novel that is set in the Roaring 20s. Julianne Snyder is the second author of the book. Markus is currently writing more novels with Snyder. Markus hopes you enjoy her urban fantasy novels and the other different genres that she is writing.

Just finished the audible and man oh man was it awesome! I loved that it was more of a dark, traditional take on Vampires and their lore but also having a modern twists that just makes perfect sense. I found the story to be very interesting and certainly can’t wait for the rest of the series! I highly recommend for fans of the supernatural.

Angelica Markus is one of the smartest, imaginative and talented authors I have read in a long while. Her detailed, dynamic and in-depth novel is perhaps the very best urban fantasy book of the year from a debuting author. Incredible. This is no lightweight fare. Markus is a contemporary master of her writing craft. The reader is immersed in an encompassing and vivid world on every page. A remarkable piece of writing. A super talent of an author. Unrivaled.

If you like vampires, hot action and witty comments, The Watcher is definitely for you. The book blends reality and fantasy so well, you can imagine all of it happening right now, right beside your unknowing eyes. Beautiful, detailed descriptions that suck you deep into the story, a main character (Skye) who is tough but also vulerable and a lot of fun and weird food choices... Whatelse do I need to say? Can't wait to see how the story goes on in book two!

What an extraordinary book! You are quickly drawn into a dark and mysterious world of vampires and strangely gifted humans. The protagonist's struggles are both captivating and their characters are extremely well drawn. Angelica Markus is obviously a very talented writer and possessed of a unique and detailed imagination. Full of supernatural action and adventure, I found this book impossible to put down. A masterpiece, so five stars from me!

I just started reading this novel and I can’t put the book down, if you love Vampires and thrill you must read this book!! I don’t want to finish this because then I’ll have to wait for the next book and I don’t want to because it’s so exciting!! Just couldn't get into this book. Managed 83 pages with detailed descriptions of every scrap of clothing every character wore....who cares!!!
