Wow, wow, wow! This author does not disappoint. Lani is another awesome, strong character. It was so fun to see the roles reversed a bit- girl saves guy, girl is the tough fighter with a dark, secret past. Samson is her perfect match. He's not weak, but he doesn't need to be Alpha, either. It was also nice to get to know Frances better- the first shadowman saved back in Allure of Home. Can't wait to see what else happens with him. I'm also excited to see where the daemon story line takes us, now that we got to know them a little bit better! Love this series, highly recommend.

A little disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, I loved this book and I love Samson..but I don't think Samson was right for Lani. They were sweet together sure, but Lani has been alone and fighting her own battles for so long that I felt it did her an injustice to give her a man she has to take care of, rather than an experienced man, a full-blown Elemental, that could take care of and protect her. I just didn't think it was fair and I was rather disappointed.
