If you've read any of John Ringo's poslene series, then this one may look familiar to you. It has a lot of mercinary action too, so if you haven't been acquainted with Ringo, you aren't going to be left out, but you might feel a sense of deja vu when that scene comes up in this one. Regardless, it's a fairly decent story, and while I thought it'd be a nice stopping point for the series, there is talk of another one at the end of the book, so who knows where the series will go next. One thing's for sure though, and that is that where ever it goes, there will be plenty of action to enjoy.

A different direction, a better book.
I enjoyed the series, I enjoyed this book. The characters a likable and have good character development. I really enjoyed the change of locale. And the different dynamic for streakers breakers. The only thing I would like more sci-fi technology introduced in the series people who are thinking about reading this book should start from book one you’ll find this series enjoyable.

One of my favorite authors. I end up reading most of his books straight thru. I have read every one of his books I can get my hands on. I love this series. Keep them coming please.

I liked this book...
I have enjoyed the series. Its been exciting and pretty high action. This one was different but just as good. Definitely a great collaboration between two amazing authors.
I hope we see more from this series. Maybe something about life on Utopia?!?

Good storyline
It was a toss up between 4 &5 stars. Not as much action seen in prior volumes. Still I like the growing/learning/soul searching development of the main characters and the direction the series is heading

Another Good One
Straker's adventures continue with a look at humanity's darker tendency to seek power, wealth, profit, or otherwise disregard others for personal gain all while having great space and ground battles in Sloan worlds. Can't wait for the next one.

Nothing sophisticated, just an interesting, imaginative space adventure with intriguing characters. Escapist Sci-fi that doesn't strain the brain but also doesn't insult your intelligence. I'm reading all of his series of books.

Great action space adventure read

Very good space opera
I have enjoyed the first five books in this series. Combines deep space and ground battles with some romance and interpersonal relationships.

Interesting storyline
I like the twists and turns. Learning that they are not alone in the universe. The are many more aliens and places to explore.

This is not the end right?
It certainly looks that way. If that’s the case it’s a half hardened closure. Too many questions left unanswered and the battles are like a walk in the park in relation to past stories where stealer always a solution to a seemingly hopeless situation.
Not saying it’s a bad story... just different.
Would have given 4.5 stars but I want the story to go on, I want to know who the unknown creator is, I want to see Earth liberated. Thank you.
