Faking it with Daddy

Rate this book

I never planned to become his.

When I met the sexy-as-hell single dad fighting to save his ranch, I figured all he saw in me was an intern with dreams too big, trying to make ends meet.

After all, a relationship of anything more would be against the rules.

But as our feelings begin to grow, and the heat between us turns to scorching need, I take a big gamble.

One that starts with a huge lie and a one night stand.

Fans of Penny Wylder, Vi Keeland and Alessandra Torres will enjoy this sizzling romance.

I enjoyed reading this book.
What happens when a marriage for convenience becomes more than either partner could hope for?

In the book you have a single father, Blaze, who only wants what is best for his ranch and his daughter. He struggles to make the numbers come out right so the ranch is suffering. His parents have been taking care of his daughter while he has been busy with the struggle.

Enter in a foreign accountant intern, Mia, who actually loves numbers. His accountant assigned the project to her, and she manages to sort things out. She was hoping that helping with this case would give her a job for a work visa as her student visa is about to expire. One of her close friends who keeps trying to hook her up with random dates finally gave her the idea of a marriage visa would do the same, keep her in the country long enough for Mia to find a steady job. However the only person she could feel that would make it work is Blaze who they had a very strong attraction between them even though he is her client.

The marriage takes place, because being married would look good to Blaze's shareholders, however how will he keep his daughter from getting too attached to Mia? How will she show that she is more than just a show piece wife, but wants to engage her brain as well?

I found the ending to be rather enjoyable. I don't want to give any more spoilers, however I believe people will enjoy the read. I did receive a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Blaze and Mia. Blaze is a rancher who is having financial trouble and needs to find new ways to save money to hold onto the ranch. Mia is an accountant who is an intern at an accounting company that Blaze employs. When the owner of the accounting firm tells Blaze to find a wife to settle down, he doesn't think it is a good idea. Mia is given Blaze's account and goes to the ranch to meet with Blaze. When Mia gets there, she is surprised to find Blaze is the man she met a few days earlier at a bar. They work late into the evening and Blaze offers Mia a room for the night instead of her driving back into town. They have an attraction and they spend the night together. The next morning, they are woken up when An older couple bring a little girl to the ranch. Mia leaves and decides to keep things professional with Blaze. When Mia needs to marry to get a green card to stay in the US, she asks Blaze, who agrees because it would look good to his investors for him to be married. I liked this story but i found it jumped around a bit. I think Blaze and Mia were good for each other and i think they made a good couple. I wish things had of read smoother and i think it would have been even better,

Awesome read! The suspense kept me scrolling
Blaze needs help with his money management skills. He's about to lose his ranch and his accountant sends Mia to help him straighten out his books and get his finances back in order.
It’s not instant chemistry between Mia and Blaze, but they both need each other in more ways than one. They get married and It's no walk in the park. Blaze seems to be missing that skill set that's endearing to Mia. He's overprotective, domineering and at some point, he not only picks out her new wardrobe, but he also can’t seem to stop telling her what to do, and charade aside, she's not too happy about that. Ultimately, Blaze gets to keep his ranch, Mia accepts a job offer three hours away and they decide to pursue a long-distance relationship while they sort things out. Blaze is also raising an adorable little girl whose wise beyond her years. Her mother’s a sore subject.
Full of intrigue, seduction and secrets, their marriage of convenience does eventually turn into lasting happiness. Thumbs up.

Faking it with the Cowboy and Love

Format: Kindle Edition
This starts with Blaze getting a shock report on his finances and how he may loose his ranch. He is then told he is going to have an intern help him get his finances in order. Also to think about getting a wife to help him out with Harper his daughter. Mia needs a green card to be able to stay and work. She is the intern sent to help Blaze only the first day she heads in the wrong direction and ends up arriving at lunch time. After she goes over the paperwork Blaze offers her a bed for the night as it is late. Later Mia asks Blaze to help her out by marrying her so she can get the green card. This will also help Blaze out. I’m not going to spoil the rest only to say there is action, love and romance. I received this book for an honest review which I have given. You might as well make yourself comfortable as you will not be able to put this book down.

Are you ready for this romance? Ms. C. Greene has just released a beautifully crafted book revolving around an independent woman, Mia, here on a work visa and the man that certainly captured her attention, Blaze Jackson. Blaze, a single Father, as well as a Rancher, actually meets his new accountant by chance at a local bar. Although nothing physical happens, the thought was most definitely there. After a night that never was, he never expected to see her again. Imagine both of their surprise when they have to work together. These two fated characters definitely had chemistry between them and the story just takes off from there, keeping you glued from cover to cover. Wonderful Release Right Here.

I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of Faking It With The Cowboy in exchange for my honest & voluntarily given opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Greene.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. This was an entertaining story. I liked the plot and that it was set mostly on a ranch. The characters were interesting and unique and the story had a lot of drama, including many twists and turns I wasn’t expecting. However, I found the writing to be rather choppy and I felt that the hero and heroine bounced around emotionally way too much - one minute they were in love, the next moment they weren’t - one minute they were not speaking and the next they were jumping into bed together - and all without enough background or supporting information. It became confusing and hard to follow. And as a result, I didn’t feel the chemistry between them the way I should have. Although this is an interesting story, it is not one of my favourites.

This was a good book. Blaze is a cowboy and needs help so he doesn’t lose his ranch that was started by his great-grandfather. Mia is an intern that works for the firm that does Blaze’s books. She is sent to help him out so he can keep his ranch in the black. These two have undeniable chemistry and an instantaneous attraction to each other. When Mia realizes she needs to marry to get a green card, she asks Blaze. He decides that he will help her, especially, since it would help him with his investors. There’s a little suspense and two people who started out faking their relationship, but had it turning real. This was a good story and the characters were great. I loved how Blaze stood up for Mia.

The story of Blaze and Mia is good and the added addition of Harper is cute. This book had lots of twists waiting to unravel like finding about about Harper and her mother which kept it interesting. Parts of the book I felt were rushed but overall it was a nice read. I didn’t always think the way that Mia reacted was sensible, she was too quick to judge and run which did my head in and I wasn’t sure if they really were good together but it was a good ending.
I was offered the chance to read an Arc and leave my honest opinion happily.

The Brit Takes A Texan
By Korkoi

Just grab a drink, a blanket, light a roaring fire, your e-reader and buckle down for a thrilling ride. When Blaze and Mia met for the first time, they didn’t know what Fate had in store for them. The story has drama, hot steamy scenes, off the charts chemistry and a wonderful happy ending. It is well worth buying a copy of this book.

I received on ARC of this book from Bookfunnel and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a new writer Whois still developing her style. The story has a good plot line. Mia is a mature student in the US on a student visa. She meets Blaze who is having trouble holding on to his ranch because of accounting issues. They begin working together to get it back in the black. There are missing loopholes that could have made the plot more exciting. The characters are ok especially the few glimpses we get of Harper.

Can their marriage of convenience become more?
Just loved the characters, a single parent cowboy & a girl from London trying to obtain her green card. She's serving as an intern for an accounting firm where the bigoted boss exploits her talents & has no plans to reward her fincancially nor career wise. To make matters more intersting there's a crazy drugged up ex trying to ruin their lives. A really good page turner.
I received an ARC & this is my honest &voluntary review.

An amazing well written fake marriage of convience romance that flows smoothly. This intrigue storyline is full of drama, angst, love, crazy drug addicted ex, green card expiring, fun, laughter and amazing chemistry. The characters are relatable, well developed, and have a great connection while they bump along through their journey to a HEA. This sweet read is a heartwarming and a enjoyable romance story. A really sweet love in the making. Faking it with the cowboy notes.

Mia is Blaze’s accountant. Mia needs a green card to stay in the United States or else she will be sent back to England. When she asks Blaze to marry her for a marriage of convenience so she can stay in the country, he immediately agrees. Their friendship slowly develops into something more. It is so great when they confess their love for each other. I really enjoyed this book.

Such a sweet story. Mia is looking for a way to stay in the country. Blaze is fighting to save his ranch and take it back from the investors. When Mia has no job opportunities she asks Blaze for a fake marriage. What happens after will leave them both reeling at the thought that they could actually fall in love. The story is really cute. Of course there is some suspense along the way . I enjoyed the story a lot.

Blaze is a local cowboy, he's a single father and is struggling a bit in trying to run his farm. He's very hands on and doesn't mind getting dirty to get the job done. He doesn't always make the best decisions financially and reaches out for help.

Mia is an intern assigned to help him. She's brilliant and even though she does a fantastic job her work visa is almost up and the firm isn't offering to keep her on.

Desperate for a solution Mia proposes something drastic. Will it work? How long will it take before they admit it might not be so fake?

This is the second book in Chelsea Greene's Sexy Fake Marriages series. They are standalone and you do not need to read them in order.

I received an advanced copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

Green card on steroids! This was a really nice story, and things heated up really quickly. Once the ex showed up causing a load of trouble, Blaze realized how he really felt about Mia. It just took them both a while longer to admit to each other just how they felt - both thinking that the other one just wanted this temporarily.

Wow! The characters certainly react first before being rational. I loved the rawness of it though. For me, it felt totally relatable, something that could definitely happen at a regular basis in real life. On that note, it drew a lot of drama and wow moments for me. I definitely enjoyed reading this one!

While I really enjoyed the book I wasn't real sure about the ending. It works, it really does, I guess I was just expecting something else. It was another good book by Chelsea Greene and I look forward to reading more of them!

What a great love story, the characters were great and really blended well for the story. Who wouldn’t want to be with a cowboy, but other things were in the way like how the pair don’t want to speak to each other about their feelings. Great book though and loved reading it, couldn’t put it down.

This was an okay book. The way they treated each other was a bit of a turn off for me. Yes, it ends in a HEA, but even that wasn't enough of a boost for me.
