A gift, a posh bed and breakfast, and a one-night-stand with a hesitant demon on leave from Hell could be just what she needs to save her life.
Can a punishing angel, a magical matchmaker, and a few moments of passion break the chains of Hell? Kushiel, one of three punishing angels, and warden of a special league of assassins, has many secrets. One of his best kept secrets is an assassin called Hunter.
Deemed too dangerous to live among other wards of third Hell, let alone the general population of humans, Hunter resides in an isolated corridor of Hell. Unlike most of his cellmates, Hunter is allowed short periods above-ground, three-days, to be exact, each time to rectify a horrible wrong, meting out Kushiel’s justice.
Orphaned in her teens, Anitra just wants a normal life - to feel safe - but when dark secrets rise from her past, she escapes to an exclusive resort to get away from it all.
Anitra’s inhibitions take a vacation when she meets Hunter, but can a permanent resident of third Hell be trusted?

An author, musician, counseling psychologist, and animal rights activist, Dariel writes interracial/multicultural paranormal romance and dark urban fantasy featuring shifters, Nephilim, angels, and reluctant demons, all filled with action, alpha heroes, and strong heroines. As a child, she could always be found curled up with her dogs, cats, and a good book, even if the book was a dictionary or encyclopedia. Things have not changed much.
Dariel is a classically trained soprano, and plays more than 11 musical instruments. She also completed coursework and passed comprehensives for a Ph.D. in Instructional Design (ABD), tutors writing, algebra, and statistics, and readily admits to being a Netflix paranormal and action series binge-watcher.
Three Days From Hell (Kushiell's Assassin) has a unique story line and well developed characters. Hunter, one of Kushiel's assassins is allowed three days out of hell among humans to correct a terrible wrong at Kushiell's (a punishing angel) bidding. This particular assignment is Anitra. Hunter is very special and I would very much like to see what happens to him in the next book. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I read this story first in anthology “Mystic Realms”. And I fallen in love with Hunter directly. He have dark past, heavy history, suffering and not even hoping for better future, ever. Anitra live in danger, running and no hope crossing her mind either. When those two crash into each other, the magic operate. Is very nice short story.
I love finding new stories that takes its characters and species to different levels then the most common. This one does that. I already love Hunter and hurt for what he has gone through in his past and cannot wait to see what happens next.
Not quite as good as Sherrilyn Kenyon but good regardless. A different twist with a djinn. I like the fact that she had help. And she never did take her dog for a walk...
I love how the author of this books brings two different worlds together (more like collide lol) so a supernatural love can begin!! Dariel, I can’t wait for book 2!
