A dramatic retelling of the classic legend of King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table captures all of the majesty of the mystical quest for the Holy Grail. All ages.
I managed to find this as a used library book for $2. When I lived in England I was absolutely fascinated with the lore and culture of the country. I remember picking this book up when I was very small and just marveling at the gorgeous artwork. That's honestly what made me try and find it years later. The illustrator, Julek Heller, creates lush art that is serious eye candy. Colors jump off the page, while the characters themselves come to life! Blood, gore, thick maiden hair, and a hot sun shining off battered armor really bring the stories to life more than my imagination ever could. The stories themselves are written intelligently, and beautifully detailed. If you're an Arthurian geek like me you'll definitely want to scour a library shelf or pick up a copy on Amazon. I promise you you won't be disappointed.
This book is a very good book but it takes a while to read because there is multipul stories in this one book. This book is a good book for people intrested in knights, wizards, and dragons.
