كانت هذه الرواية من بدايات قرائاتي كنت استمتع حقا بروبرت اونيل و بكلماته السلسة و سخريته المبطنة
كنت اعمل حينها صانع في محل لبيع الشاي (ابو الجاي) ايام كنت اشتغل في عطلة نصف السنة لغرض شراء حذاء ب ثلاثة الاف.......ههههههههههههههههه يا لسخرية القدر عندما رأيت غلاف هذا الكتاب تذكرت طعم الفقر المقدح
يالبسطاتها ايام المراهقة و يالاحلامي الميتة

رواية التشويق و الغموض الحديث حيث انها رواية حديثة بسيارتها و مدنها و ليست من الروايات القديمة تتحدث عن تزييف اللوحات التى رسمت في العصور السابقة و اعادة بيعها على انها طبق الاصل .. فتتحدث الرواية عن احدى هذه اللوحات كيفية رسمها مرة اخرى ثم اخذ اللوحة الاصلية ووضع اللوحة المنسوخة مكانها طبق الاصل فهل سينجح ابطال هذه الرواية ؟
