Rachel Hart and Bodie Wright are nothing more than teammates. As mercenaries for hire with the elite Jameson Group, they have each other's backs in the most dangerous of circumstances. But after a mission gone deadly wrong, Rachel does something she's never done before. She crosses the professional line and takes comfort in Bodie's arms.
One night of passion turns their lives upside down with a pregnancy neither of them expected, and one that Rachel was too terrified to ever want. Bodie, however, is a family man through and through, and he's determined to raise their child alone if necessary.
The only common thread Rachel and Bodie have is their membership at The Wicked Horse, a sex club that lets them both fulfill their dirtiest fantasies with each other. As they become more intimately entwined, the strong, steady man with a heart of gold makes Rachel question everything she ever thought she knew about herself. Their wicked nights together make them so much more than teammates and Rachel is about to discover the choices she thought were the most difficult are actually the easiest ones to make.

First of all, I’ve got to commend Ms. Bennett because in my tenure as a romance reader I hadn’t yet come across a story quite like this. I’ve literally read thousands of books and this was something I hadn’t experienced. It was fresh and interesting.

Rachel is a character that goes against what our instinctual ideas of a heroine, and a woman for that matter, should be. She values career and independence and this can be at the expense of settling down and having a family. She is comfortable with that choice. Brodie is all about family. He has a great support system and grew up with all the best of country living. When they create a life together, both of them are challenged in ways they hadn’t imagined. The process was awesome to behold.

While Rachel wasn’t my favorite Bennett heroine, I respected her point of view. She represents a population that is often ostracized for their preferences. Bodie won my heart. His patience, respect, and love really shone in the book. His family was fantastic as a support to the story. The co-workers were also used to show attachment, development, and contrast. The conflict with them leveraged the plot’s intensity, which in general dealt with a lot of internal elements.

The intimacy was FANTASTIC. This author can take sex scenes to a new level. /fans self The prose, imagery, pacing, and characterization was excellent. An awesome introduction and segue into a whole new set of characters.

Wicked Choice takes readers away from the Wicked Horse club and into the Jameson Group security firm. Bodie and Rachel are both mercenaries and as teammates never really saw each other in a sexual way. Until a mission goes bad and Rachel seeks comfort in Bodie's arms, completely changing their relationship in ways she's not prepared for.

This book, for me, was really different from the rest of the series. We still had scenes inside the club but overall the story was quite tame compared to the others. Not that I minded though because I still thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Bodie and Rachel and I liked how their relationship progressed from teammates to lovers. It was interesting to me how differently they faced their situation and it had me captivated to see how they were going to handle everything in the end.

Overall this was a fun introduction to the Jameson Group and I can't wait to see what Ms. Bennett has in store for the rest of them in their own series. This book also has me ready to beg for Kynan's story so I hope we won't have to wait long for that.

“If I have to go a little alpha to keep her underneath me, I’m going to do it.”

I have read every single one of the Wicked Horse Vegas stories and loved them all. This series has become one of my guilty pleasures that I love to indulge in. Sawyer Bennett always has a talent of drawing me in with her likeable characters, interesting storylines and let’s not forget the hot and steamy scenes. Wicked Choice is different to the others though and I’m not saying that is necessarily a bad thing, because it absolutely is not, but the Wicked Horse Vegas club sure does take a backseat with this one. Sawyer Bennett explains this all in her forward so it will make sense why. I sure am looking forward to seeing what she creates next.

Rachel, I have to say is probably my favorite heroine out of all the Wicked Horse Vegas stories; she’s fierce, strong, determined and career driven. She is definitely one of the boys and she sure can hold her own against any of the men she works with.

Rachel and Brodie work together for a prominent security company, The Jameson Group and they are no strangers to danger and high risk situations. As they both work so closely together, they have formed an unbreakable bond and a connection that will stand the test of time. This is no surprise though and it is bound to happen when you have situations where you put your life in someone else’s hands and expect them to put theirs in yours.

Brodie and Rachel have a mutual respect and understanding for one another and hence have never seen each other as anything but a teammate, that is, until an assignment goes horribly wrong and Rachel turns to the one person who will understand what she is going through, Brodie. She sure does find comfort within his big strong arms.

“I don’t want a baby,” she says flatly, her expression boarding on hopeless.
I’ve never even thought about this moment transpiring. I’m years from settling down, marrying, and having kids. But something instinctive rises within me, and I find myself blurting out, “I want it.”

In true SB fashion, the passion, lust and everything else in between was hot as hell and enough to make me sweat big time. They truly moulded together and everything about this couple just worked for me. I believed every emotion, every touch and every heartache. Things take an unexpected and complicated turn when oops Rachel’s becomes pregnant.

When this unexpected news comes to light, Brodie does what any noble and honourable man should do and decides to stand by Rachel; not out of obligation either, he really wants this child, even if that means quitting his job and raising the child on his own. Fear takes hold of Rachel and she thinks there could be nothing more terrifying than bringing a child into this world and raising it, and therefore she had some really tough decisions to make.

I do tend to love a great age-gap trope and with Wicked Choice it was quite refreshing that Rachel was in fact older than Brodie by 9 years. Most stories I’ve read it’s usually always the hero who is the elder one, so I really enjoyed that aspect.

I really relished this story from start to finish and it was the perfect introduction to these new characters and a new series as mentioned in Sawyers forward at the start. The plot was engaging, well thought out and the characters lovable. I would recommend this story to anyone who loves the surprise pregnancy and age-gap tropes with a hero who will positively melt your heart.

✮ ✮ ✮ 3.5 STARS ✮ ✮ ✮

Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books

When I receive a new Wicked Horse book I expect a filthy hot story, it's set in a sex club after all. WICKED CHOICE departs a bit from the concept, the club isn't featured as prominently. It's not a bad thing, just a heads up because when it comes down to it, Rachel and Bodie will set your Kindle on fire.

Anyway - now that this is out of the way, let's focus on the story and characters. This time we go back to the Jameson group, a top security company, formerly owned by Jerico Jameson from WICKED FAVOR. Bodie and Rachel work there as mercenaries, they are fantastic at their job because they love what they do. One night changes both of their lives though and not because they rock each other's world. Although they do. Rock each other's world that is.

This story takes an interesting spin on the unexpected pregnancy theme. It has the heroine not wanting the baby and the hero being all in. Rachel has her reasons but the longer the little peanut grows in her the stronger the bond becomes - something she didn't anticipate.

I loved how understanding Bodie was in all this. He never pushed, he let Rachel come to the right decision at her own pace. In general, Bodie is as easy-going as they come and incredibly mature for a young man at 26, and sweet and tender with Rachel. He is also possessive, protective and a bit of a badass.

He knew. He absolutely fucking knew what I needed. I needed him to tell me to be strong. Just before that, I needed him to hug me, and he knew that, too. He gave me what I needed both times without me even asking for it.

Rachel is tough as nails and she isn't used to somebody taking care of her. It was a little amusing to see this kickass, fearless woman dissolve into tears because of pregnancy hormones. Sometimes those tough, strong heroines have a tendency to come across a little hardened. Not Rachel, while she had her walls up she was never unlikable.

Being a mother meant a commitment and responsibility I’d never been quite able to handle.

One more thing that I really enjoyed was that the heroine was significantly older than the hero. Rachel was 35 to Bodie's 26 - you don't get to see that very often in books.

Sawyer Bennett brought two unusual elements into this story - I applaud her for that. WICKED CHOICE didn't engage me as much as other stories in this series and if you asked my why I wouldn't even be able to tell you. It has likable characters, an interesting story line but it didn't have that "I can't put it down" - feeling. However, what it did was make me crave more. I NEED Kynan's story. I loved him in the first WICKED FAVOR and it'll be interesting to see him go down. There are also a couple of Jameson group members I'd like to see a story of.

While this might not have been my favorite in the series Sawyer Bennett gives us a solid read. I'm pretty sure most of you will totally get a kick out of it.

Rachel Hart & Bodie Wright are mercenaries for a high profile security team called The Jameson Group. They go on high risk, dangerous operations. They live in Vegas, but travel all over the world for their work. After a mission goes wrong, the usually unshakable Rachel is rattled, and seeks comfort in her teammate Bodie. They’ve never mixed business with pleasure, but things quickly turn passionate between these co-workers. They soon learn their one night together can’t be forgotten, when they find out Rachel’s pregnant.

 photo IMG_1676_zpszb7gavxb.gif

Rachel & Bodie have a great respect for one another, & share a bond forged in trust. Rachel has worked hard to be where she is in her career in a world dominated by men. Her job is everything to her, & she doesn’t think she has what it takes to be a mother. She’s all about adventure, and never had to take care of anyone but herself.

Bodie grew up on a farm in Nebraska. He’s a former Navy Seal, and family is everything to him. He would give up his career for any of them. He wants the baby, & is ready to raise their child on his own if necessary.

 photo IMG_4099_zpsirzyjfjg.jpg

Rachel & Bodie don’t have a lot in common other than their jobs & their memberships at The Wicked Horse. They both enjoy unwinding and indulging at the private sex club where they fulfill their fantasies. They’ve always kept things professional, but since that line has already been blurred, they give in to their attraction again. Bodie continues to push Rachel’s boundaries & challenge her. As they spend more time together Bodie shows he’s someone Rachel can count on. Things turn more intimate, & when real feeling form Rachel is terrified. Will she let fear rule her, or will she let herself try for more with Bodie?

This was my favorite book I’ve read in The Wicked Horse Vegas series. This man’s heart was absolutely beautiful. There’s a nine year age difference between Rachel & Bodie which makes things even hotter. This book had so much emotion, & was addictive. It was fantastic!

-I don’t know that I’ve ever felt closer to a human being in my life.

-“There’s something special between us. Call it chemical, call it emotional... I don’t give a fuck what you call it. But it’s something different, and I know you know it, too.”

-You are the greatest gift I’ve ever been given.

I luv Brodie.

I just luv this series so much. Every book is great. I fall for every man in this series. I have a Wicked Horse problem the men are to hot. Brodie is so hot caring strong and protective. Everything that I want in a guy and he is very hot in the bedroom department. This guy knows what he wants. Working an intense job is what he as alway wanted. He never wanted to work on his dad's family it just wouldn't be enough for him. Working the Jameson group is a tough job but Brodie knows how to unwind. Goin to Wicked Horse is where a few of the men and women go to let off a bit of steam.

Rachel isn't your typical woman. She is a tough woman and had a tough job but she luvd it and wouldnt change a thing. Her job is mainly men but she is just as talented as them. Rachel knows what she want to do with life and at the moment working for the Jameson Group is it. Rachel is an adrenaline junkie and her job keeps the high she needs. One thing that's not on her list of things to do is relationships. She doesn't think she would be good at that sort of stuff. She can be quite hard on herself at time.

This book was great from start to finish. The story started with a bang straight away. I luvd seeing Brodie and Rachel's relationship grow from working together to bring so close they hated being apart. Brodie is one of my favourite men in this series. He isn't like the other tough no nonsense men. He is cared hearted and would do anything to help Rachel. This just made me luv him more.

Like I said this series is really good. I m just hoping that I get Kynan's story soon. I need his story so much. After meeting him in the first book and getting him loads in this book. I m dying to know know more about him know. There is just something about him. I m really hoping we don't have to wait for long for his book.

I would highly recommend this book. I really enjoyed it. The story was so good and very hot the characters were also great. I'm really liking the Wicked Horse Vegas just as much as the Original.

Sexy goodness…

Ahh.. The Wicked Horse Vegas. That cover is a teaser for the no holds barred sexy goodness contained in this book. This series has caused more than one blush with its frank take on human sexuality and the fun that can be had… These are adults who own their desires and aren’t afraid to express – or share – them. Rachel and Bodie, both part of the Jameson group with ties to the Wicked Horse, are no strangers to each other or the club. Despite a relationship measured in years, however, they have a lot more to learn about each other. A LOT more...

Rachel is an independent woman who is all about the job she excels at. She looks for adventure and thrills but is brought to her knees when she and Brodie share an unforgettable night with unexpected consequences. On the other edge of the thrill-seeker is Brodie. He’s definitely not shy about facing danger but he is also a trustworthy, dependable man with the sexiness of a bad boy... His way of dealing with the situation, and Rachel, made my heart flutter from the start. A man who loves his family and supports the mother of his child in all ways, well, I dare you not to fall in love just a wee bit yourself. From scenes of gut-wrenching tenderness to ones of temperature-raising passion, this story has all the feels and more…

With a sense of family and fun that should be at odds with the sizzling heat and oh so passionate scenes, this author knows how to balance it all with a perfect blend of danger, Friends and Peyton Place... only better! ~Diane, 4.5 stars

Rachel & Bodie are both 'agents' in The Jameson Group.
They do everything from protecting a pop princess to freeing hostages in Syria.
And they have each other's back every second of every day.
But what happens when one mission almost ends deadly and you add some alcohol, a comfortable hotel bed and lots of left-over adrenaline? Yup, you make a baby with your hot co-worker.

Rachel is already 35 but she never wanted a kid or a family. And 26 year old Bodie wants nothing more. He grew up in the perfect family on a perfect farm and he always wanted what his parents have. He'll raise the baby with the help of his family if Rachel only keeps it.

And she does - for him.
And since she's already pregnant why not keep on doing sexy things with each other ....

WHAT WiLL HAPPEN WITH RACHEL & BODiE?
WiLL THEY GET A HEA?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!!!☺

...another Wicked Horse book!

And it was just as sexy as the others. Phew! ☺

And also sooo very adorable.
Bodie is such a sweet guy. Such a family man.
And Rachel is his complete opposite.
But of course those attract. ☺

I really enjoyed reading it!
I couldn't stop reading - I had to know if Bodie would be able to convince Rachel to take a chance on him and the baby.

Lots of cute and sexy and exciting moments!

I also liked that Rachel is NINE years older than Bodie. It's always older guys - it's good to see that us old ladies still have the possibility to catch a hot young guy ;)

WICKED CHOICE was an another very sexy & adorable book in the Wicked Horse series! Can't wait for more from the Wicked Horse & the new Jameson Group series!!!

P.S. You think I forgot about my Sawyer AS rant. Nope ... NOTHING TO RANT ABOUT!! WHAT??????? YES! I only counted TWO or THREE ASSES - I might have overlooked a couple - but I always overlook some and there are still dozens of them in every book. BUT ONLY TWO OR THREE IN THIS BOOK! What happened Sawyer????☺

Happy book birthday!!
A thoroughly entertaining romance packed with easy banter, friendship and hot sexiness.

Wicked Choice is a more understated volume in the Wicked Horse Vegas series, which is a naughtily searing erotic romance series. With Rachel Hart and Bodie Wright’s story, a tale of two coworkers who find comfort in each other after a mission gone wrong, Bennett connects the current series with characters from the Jameson Group security firm.

In this installment ex-Olympian, thrill seeker turned mercenary, Rachel finds herself unexpectedly pregnant after her one night with Bodie. Motherhood is not something she wanted at the height of her career but ex-Navy SEAL and family man Bodie is willing to raise their child even if it means doing it alone and giving up the work he loves.

As the pregnancy progresses and Rachel and Bodie get to know one another as more than coworkers, in and out of The Wicked Horse, the sex club several of the Jameson Group employees belong to. Bodie’s strong and stable presence helps Rachel get past her issues and see a different and fuller future.

Rachel and Bodie’s attraction and evolving connection from teammates to lovers pops off the page and with interesting supporting characters (read: their boss Kynan), spicy scenes that create more heat than a burning sun, a great sense for plotting and charming family dynamics, Bennett creates romances I’ll always want to read.

Wicked Choice is book #4 of the Wicked Horse Vegas series by Sawyer Bennett. It is standalone erotic romance. Told from both points of view and has a happy ending.

This was a new twist on an unexpected pregnancy storyline. I liked it…it was fresh and different and maybe more geared towards the modern woman.

Rachel is a very independent woman, who is focused on her career. Although I can’t see myself ever making a decision that she made I commend her for knowing what she wants and going for it.

Brodie is quite possibly perfect! He is old fashioned and very strong in family beliefs, with good reason since his family is really supportive and loving.

This Wicked Horse Vegas series is sexy beyond belief but even more so it has good storylines.

Get ready to swoon for Bodie Wright! He was the perfect hero in the newest installment of the Wicked Horse Vegas series. This is book 4 in the series, but can be read as a stand alone.

Sawyer Bennett tells you right from the start that this story is going to be a bit different from the previous books. It still has lots of sexy times and engaging and lovable characters, but the actual Wicked Horse sex club takes a bit of a backseat this time around. Instead, the focus is on the struggles of our hero and heroine and the elite Jameson Group. I really enjoyed this more tame romance (compared to the other books) and Bodie wins for my favorite hero so far. He really couldn't have been more perfect and was just the right amount of alpha and sweetheart. Rachel was also a great heroine, struggling with societal norms and her desire to march to the beat of a different drum. I loved watching their relationship develop slowly and steadily from something casual to something truly remarkable.

Probably the most refreshing thing about the story though were the spins that Bennett took on common romance tropes. Rachel was not the typical heroine you encounter. She is 9 years older than our hero and it is actually Bodie, the eternal family man, who is more invested in having and raising a child. Of course, this only made Bodie more endearing. The epilogue was sweet and left me wanting more. I hope this isn't the last time we see these two!

REVIEW: 4.5 HOT Stars
"Call it chemical, call it emotional...I don't give a fuck what you call it. But it's something different, and I know you know it too."

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. YES. Sometimes I feel like I just want to say, "I loved this book. This one should be on your kindle. Just read it. Kthxbye." But, that doesn't always work now, does it? I've read TWO books in this series in a row and I'm on a Sawyer Bennett HIGH!! I just finished Wicked Envy and you can read my review HERE. I am just going to say, I'm in bliss. TWO books. TWO heartfelt stories. But TWO different reviews and giveaways. Buckle up!

First and foremost, Bodie is MINE. I know, I know. Someone else may try to claim him, but I'm just going to put that out there IN WRITING. Hahaha! He will honestly give many other book boyfriends a bad name. He was literal perfection. He was SO intuitive when it came to Rachel and what she needed, it was heartwarming. I mean, he is a mercenary., so I expected bad-assery galore. Cold, aloof, disconnected...but he has a heart of gold. A little bit of sweetness, with a little bit of alpha. So damn sexy. Such a contradiction in terms to me. I loved it! He was the consummate gentleman, the naughty dirty man, and the caring lover. I just couldn't get enough of him.....at all.

"God help me...I fucking want her bad. If I have to go a little alpha to keep her underneath me, I'm going to do it."

I want to comment on Rachel's character; her personality. She was one tough cookie. Like, legit don't mess with me kinda gal. She works in a male dominated field as a mercenary, and that in and of itself has got to be a job for a special kind of person. I hate to say someone that can remove the feelings from their world, but I do understand that she would have to have a certain 'removed' mentality.....and that really summed her up. Quite emotionally removed from many situations, and while this dealt with that a lot with her, her growth was pivotal in this book.

Granted, this is part of The Wicked Horse Vegas series, and while they visit the club, I really felt this was more of a story of two people falling in love and less to do with the club, even though they spent time there. Sometimes her stories are more centered around the club as a way to meet, or a place to hang out. I liked that this one wasn't really like that. I felt the story was more about their relationship and how it progressed, given their circumstances.

I thought along the way: uh oh....is this book going to really live up to it's title??? Well, I think it most definitely did. I loved the dynamic between these two characters. I loved how Bodie treated Rachel, the way he helped her figure things out on her own terms, but the way he let her come to a realization with any circumstance she was in. Rachel was unable to come to terms with some of her emotions, and the fact that Bodie could step back and allow her the comfortability and the strength of his heart that allowed her to grow. OMGosh....I loved how well they worked together, but when he knew to step back and he knew when to push. He was so good to her.

It's no secret, I love Sawyer Bennett. I read, review, and give away a copy every time she has a new release. It's hard to make my reviews sound different for every book, but I'm comfortable and can easily recommend each one I review on my blog. I hope you take a chance, even though I just gushed all over this review, singing her praises on her stories.

"I can tell you that when you do find love - true love - it's about the most wonderful thing in the world."

Absolutely loved it!
Rachel started out rather cold to me, but once I got to know her and her background, I grew to love her.
She came a long way in this book.

And Bodie…. he’s what book boyfriends are made of!

And Rachel and Bodie together? Perfection. Tremendous chemistry….and god he was so patient with her and understanding …do guys like this really exist?

I absolutely fell in love with this book. Not only did I get to go back to the Wicked Horse which is always fun, but I got new main characters to adore, new supporting characters to hope for their stories, and a new world opened up in the form of a spin-off series. While part of a series, this can be read as a standalone and not lose anything.

Wicked Choice is a continuation of the drama afoot at the Wicked Horse club, but it also marks the first foray into the Jameson Group, an elite security firm chock full of ex-special forces where apparently everyone needs to be kinky and uber-hot to work there!

In this crossover book, we get a story that is a true departure from anything I have read before. It starts off as a typical co-workers turned lovers, surprise pregnancy story, but quickly transforms into more. We normally see a man that is invested in his career and has reservations about being a father, where the woman has to change her life to take on the responsibility of raising the child. But what happens when the woman is the one unwilling to give up her career, and the father is the one that insists on keeping the baby? This is the interesting situation that Wicked Choice explores, but this story is so much more than just a feminist novel about gender equality. It is touching and sweet and raunchy as hell and I adored every moment of this love story.

Rachel and Bodie know that their one night was a mistake, but when a surprise pregnancy forces them together, despite the time they’ve spend as teammates, they get to truly know one another as people. Rachel is independent, loyal, and funny in her directness and disgust of the emotional changes she’s enduring. I loved this about her. She was dead-set against being a mother, but willing to carry the baby for Bodie to raise. As for Bodie, he was just perfect. A family loving, gun-toting, handsome, kinky ex-Navy SEAL willing to give up the career and life he loves to return home and raise a child. He was willing to take responsibility for his actions and rise to the occasion where he was needed. His support of Rachel, his understanding and compassion brought tears to my eyes and never once did his frustration push him to do or say anything that was less than perfect.

Of all of the Wicked Horse stories, this one was my absolute favorite because it held so much more than just kink. It was romantic and introspective and touchingly human, and I fell in love with these characters so much that I felt the story ended way too soon.

This is the fourth book in Sawyer Bennett's amazing Wicked Horse Vegas series and it's another triumph. While it is different to the other books in this series, and it's not easy to compare, I think this may be my favorite one yet.

I love that this is a bridge book to a new series and I am so excited for it! I hope I can contain myself until it releases in 2019. I was wondering why we hadn't gotten a book for Kynan earlier on, and now I know why! I hope the first book is either about him or Cage as they are my favorite of the secondary characters from this book.

Anyway, onto Wicked Choice. I loved everything about it. I loved the character development. ADORED Bodie. I mean, my God, what a man. I especially loved the modern taken on the pregnancy situation and it was great to delve into both perspectives. Bodie was willing to sacrifice a job he enjoyed for his child and that just made my heart swoon and my ovaries melt. Seriously, could that man get any hotter?! And I had sympathy for Rachel. She should be allowed to make that choice without anyone castigating her for it, but her anguish was real.

I loved the backdrop of the Jameson Group and the missions they were sent on. While it didn't occupy a huge part of the book, I thought the mix was perfect.

The romance was really well written, and, with all the books in this series, Sawyer manages to achieve complexity in her characterization and substance in her plot, so it's not just about all the sexy times, which is something I really appreciate. I know when I dive into one of her books that I'm going to get a decent story with realistic characters as well as all the scorching hot chemistry.

There isn't a single thing I would fault about this book. Loved it, and I can't wait for the next instalment, and the new spin-off series.

In summary, Wicked Choice is a sexy, sweet romance that ticked all the boxes. An absolutely superb read, and one I'm happy to recommend.

Thank you very much to the author and her assistant for providing an ARC of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing.

WICKED CHOICE (The Wicked Horse Vegas, #4) by Sawyer Bennett is one of the best erotic romances I have read! There are hot, steamy and erotic sex scenes throughout an amazing gender twist of a story that is strong enough to stand on its own even without the erotic sex scenes, but where would be the fun in that?

Rachel Hart is one of the best at her job and has the confidence of her teammates. She was a Winter Olympian biathlete and extreme sport junkie. She has never fallen in love and refuses to let anyone get close.

Bodie Wright is an ex-Navy SEAL who has traded in the strict regimentation of the service for the less restrictive and more lucrative job at the Jameson Group. A Nebraska farmboy, who loves his extended family, but is not really looking to settle down just yet.

After a mission together gone wrong, Rachel and Bodie cross the understood, but not written rule that team members at Jameson do not fraternize. Sure, they see each other having sex at the club, but never do team members do team members. Their one night of amazing sex turns into a pregnancy with major, life-changing decisions to be made.

Ms. Sawyer takes this situation and turns it into a very unique story by having Brodie step up and want the baby no matter how it will change his life and career, while Rachel is the one who decides to carry the baby for Bodie, but she does not want to continue in its life after the delivery.

Rachel is such a complex heroine who Bodie seems to effortlessly understand. As the erotic sex continues throughout the story so does the emotional roller coaster, tears and decisions. I loved these two characters! The secondary characters were just as realistically written and I hope to see more of them in future books.

The Wicked Horse is a sex club in Vegas which is the background for this series of erotic romances. It is frequented by several of the teammates from the Jameson Group, which is a private group of elite mercenaries for hire. The owner of the Wicked Horse used to own both, but he sold the Jameson group to his best friend. This story is the bridge book between strictly erotic romances set around the Wicked Horse and a new series planned by this author to focus more on the Jameson Group mercenaries using a romantic suspense format. Do not worry about it being the fourth book in the series because it can be read easily as a standalone and I cannot wait to go back and read the first books in this series.

Review by Trinette Dungee

I’ve read all of the Wicked Horse books and with this last book I couldn’t help wonder how future books would be. I mean, how long can a series with a sex club go on and remain interesting? At some point it seemed like the adventure would slow down. Well, Sawyer has answered my question and like the last book, very little of this storyline took place in the Wicked Horse.

This was not your typical one-hot night-of-passion-with-a-little-surprise-left-behind. In this situation, Bodie is prepared to become a single-dad. Bodie and Rachel couldn’t be more different when it comes to family. Family is all Bodie knows for him it’s the foundation for everything he is. While Rachel and her parents love each other, they are not the close-knit loving family the Wright’s are. Rachel pictured herself with a family and she most certainly didn’t picture herself being a mom. She’s the least maternal person she knows. She’s worked hard to get where she is in her career and a baby is not what she wants. When she informs Bodie that their wild night resulted in a pregnancy, she’s shocked when he asks her to have the baby and let him raise it. Surprising Bodie and herself, Rachel agrees and also agrees to let him have an active part in the pregnancy. Whether Rachel changes her mind or not, I won’t say you’ll just have to read and find out.

I really enjoyed this book; it was most definitely a different spin on the unplanned pregnancy storyline. I was more than curious as to how it would play out. While like most storylines you can sort of figure out where a story is going this one had quite a few surprises in it. I was interested the entire time, I didn’t feel the need to skim and move ahead. The pace was good and the characters were very likable. I was rooting for Bodie and Rachel the entire time. Initially I didn’t think I was going to like Rachel but I really did. I think what really made me like this book was the fact that at some point I completely forgot about the Wicked Horse. Normally the club is relevant that it’s almost like another character, but not this time. This time the characters were actually the characters.

So to circle back to my initial question about the direction of this series…it’s looking like the transition from the Wicked Horse might revolve around The Jamison Group or we may be making out way back to the mid-west. Whichever direction, I’m eager read about it.

“You can act like you don’t like this all you want, baby, but I know different.”

I can ALWAYS count on Sawyer Bennett to bring the HEAVY HEAT and EMOTION to her romances. WICKED CHOICE, book #4 in her INCREDIBLY SEXY Wicked Horse Vegas Series, was SMOKIN’ HOT! I couldn’t put it down for the life of me. Rachel and Bodie made the pages sizzle with their intense and passionate chemistry. One night of passion ends up being so much more than they could have EVER imagined. You can certainly read between the lines of the synopsis for this love story, but I won’t be giving anything away. Trust me, you will want to experience this book with no preconceived notions whatsoever. Just know that in addition to being one of the HOTTEST books of the series, it has so much heart and emotion that I choked up on more than one occasion.

We meet up with old favorites and experience new blood in WICKED CHOICE, and that only made this book that much more exciting. This has a romantic suspense edge to it that had my heart pumpin’ and my blood flowin’. I just know that more exciting things have to yet to come, and I for one, can’t freaking wait what AWESOMENESS Ms Bennett comes up with next!

Rachel Hart and Bodie Wright are mercenaries for hire and team mates that have nothing more in common other than they both work for the Jameson Security group. Until one night while they are on a mission together professional lines are crossed and they find themselves sharing a night of unplanned and unprotected passion that leads them to an unexpected pregnancy that Rachel has no plans for and Bodie has a plan of his own. Loved it, the characters were lovable the story line was an interesting look at a role reversal for this type of story one with questions asked and decisions made about this unexpected situation these two tough mercenaries face in preparation for parenthood this was a really enjoyable read.

Most of us have read the accidental pregnancy trope before but this one is a bit different, we don't have the secrecy of it all and then a surprise your a daddy, no thankfully that isn't what we have here. What we do have is two co-workers giving into one night of passion that lead to more than either of them ever thought it would. When Rachel told Bodie about the baby, as soon as she found out , I was thrilled with his reaction and compassion towards Rachel knowing that this wasn't something either of them planned.

Talk about role reversal.

Rachel (35) works for the Jameson Group (owned by Jerico from book 1) along with Bodie (26). When one of their super spy missions goes wrong, they turn to each other for a night of hot passion. A few weeks later, Rachel discovers that she's pregnant. Bodie is ecstatic with this news and wants to keep the baby. Sadly, for him, Rachel doesn't. She has several reasons she doesn't want to be a mother. She's scared since she had a miscarriage when she was younger, she loves her dangerous job and doesn't want to give that up, and she doesn't think she'd make a good mom. With some persuasion on his part, she agrees to carry the baby to term with the agreement that Bodie will raise the baby alone and she'll go back to living her life. Rachel isn't able to keep her hands off Bodie and he definitely doesn't want to keep his hands off her. Eventually, feelings changes, opinions change, and a scary situation shocks them into action. HEA.

There are a few obvious things that are different in this fic. She's the older of the two and she doesn't want the baby and he does. Those are two of the biggest reasons this is getting the rating it is. Plus, this isn't an insta-love fic. I appreciate the outside the box thinking. That said - I do have some issues.

First, the author chooses to skip the description of their first night together. That's a major sin in my book. That's the time that sets the tone for the entire book. I typically DNF any book that does this, but I've enjoyed this series so far and wanted to continue.

During the few weeks that it took for Rachel to find out she was pregnant, she hadn't slept with anyone else. Not out of any loyalty to Bodie (she alleges), but Bodie f*cked several other women in that time. I didn't appreciate that. They weren't in a relationship, but still. I don't like it!!!! Note that they are totally monogamous once the pregnancy is revealed.

I didn't find myself liking Rachel very much. I admired her independence, but I still didn't connect with her. She chose to keep the fact that she had previously miscarried a secret from Bodie. For one thing, I didn't understand why it needed to be a secret. Also, she's having his baby, and the previous miscarriage should be disclosed so he's prepared for anything that could happen.

Despite this book being close to the same length as the others, this one felt like it went on forever and would never end. There was hot sex, but also some long and boring parts. They also repeated a lot of things. Her same doubts were repeated over and over. Plus, it's mentioned at least 4 times that Jerico Jameson no longer owns the Wicked Horse or Jameson Group. I don't care and don't need that info repeated.

We end with the epilogue, which isn't really an epilogue. It's just a few weeks after they say the L word and they just go to their doc appointment for the ultrasound. We don't get the birth or the raising of the baby. If I'm waiting all this time for a pregnancy, I want the full delivery!!! I want everything!!! We didn't even get to feel the first kick!!

I just wanted more from this.

*I received a free copy of [title] from [publisher] via Netgalley. This has in no way influenced my voluntary review, which is honest and unbiased *Wicked Choice is much more than an erotic romance, there are some important choices the characters have to make. And there is an important theme about how women are often judged much more harshly than men for their choices.

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews
Story:
Wicked Choice does partly evolve inside the Wicked Horse, but it's not the most important place or theme of the story. Rachel's unplanned pregnancy, and the fears she feels about that is the focal point of the story, and I found the way this unfolded to be very realistic. Not all women can imagine being a mother, and that is all fine and good. Rachel kind of did want to be a mother, though, but she was afraid of all the changes motherhood would bring to her life.

Wicked Choice is all about choices, which also brought out a discussion between Rachel and other characters about those choices. Bodie was so level-headed and calm I fell in love with him from the start. The interactions between the characters were so well done, and I loved that there was more to the story than the sex club - even if that is the case with all the Wicked Horse books.

Of course, there are plenty of steamy scenes in Wicked Choice, but there are intimate moments in which the characters talk and get to know each other better as well. Overall, the balance of the steam with the story, plot and character development was very well done.

Wicked Choice can be read as a stand-alone, as the other characters who appear are on the sidelines - you might enjoy the little nods to them that happen here and there - but you can still enjoy this story on its own.
Characters:
Rachel is a strong woman in so many aspects of her life. Both physically and mentally, she holds her own. Even when it comes to work, where she is in a male dominated field. She does have some insecurities, though, but none that made me not like her!

Bodie. *sighs* He is just made of awesome! Mature for his age. Understanding. And not judgemental at all!

Other characters from the Wicked Horse series are present as well, which made me feel right at home.
Writing style :
Rachel and Bodie each have their chapters, written in first person, present tense. And the pace flows nicely. Wicked Choice is an intimate story as readers share headspace with the main characters.
Feels :
Hope and hotness were the main feels with Wicked Choice.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series, and it was a really good read. I was probably a tad distracted at first as I was on holidays and trying to sneak in some reading here and there, but luckily I got a good chunk of time and was able to sit and read on the plane on the way home.

I enjoyed getting to know Rachel and Bodie in this one, and at times I didn’t agree with Rachel on particular things, but Bodie was always so sweet. What an adorable man.

It was interesting to see the characters come to terms with their reality in this one, and also to learn about their work. Seeing them piece the two together was also a journey.

I’d really like to know more about the other characters in the book, so I will be promptly going back to my GR and marking them all as books on my TBR.

This book is about balance in life, between your work life and your personal life, and how to consider juggling the two and still being happy with your life. Something that I think a lot of people will connect with, as this is a struggle for many.

Looking forward to more in this series, would recommend.

Once you join the Wicked Horse saga your heart won’t be the same!

As a smitten fan of the Wicked Horse Vegas series by New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Sawyer Bennett comes her latest edition Wicked Choice. This wild ride full of emotion, heart and let’s not forget some hot sexy attractions, is a little different than the previous Wicked Horse novels that we have witnessed. Taking a different spin into the world of mercenaries and the Jameson group. Even though Sawyer rocks the boat with the fourth book, she still digs her claws in you with her wicked ways of storylines and emotional characters.

Bodie and Rachel’s relationship was a slow burn from teammates to lovers. They became closer through a mission gone horribly wrong and Rachel finding comfort in Bodie. A night of passion changes their course of life together, but how they handle it is upon them to figure out.

I found their connection to be raw, opposite and entertaining. Their journey was one to be intrigued and made your heart sink deep in your chest. Both characters operated differently, only having the Wicked Horse as a common ground. To watch their journey blend together, learning to adapt, make changes and lean on one another in times of struggle was brilliant.

Wicked Choice had a great balance of tenderness, heart and sweetness to the hot alpha, dirty talking sexy elements.

Sawyer definitely leaves open another opportunity for an incredible series to be written with the Jameson group. I can’t wait to see what she makes of it, as always it will be addicting as all her books are.

5 Open Your Heart CROWNS

I love the Wicked Horse Series, the original and the Vegas series. Every story has always been incredibly intense with the elements of danger, edge of my seat plots, and the fun, boundary pushing times at sex club, but Wicked Choice is nothing what I expected and I LOVED IT!

The role reversal of the hero and heroine are one id the many factors that made Wicked Choice a page turner. Rachel is closed off emotionally, focused on her job, and wants zero emotional attachment to anyone. Her refusal to connect and to seek sexual gratification from different men and kink within the walls of the Wicked Horse makes her very similar to many of the heroes readers encounter in romance novels. It makes her an incredibly unique character, and while some readers may dislike this more masculine role, it only makes me enjoy her character more. Like the heroes readers encounter in romance, Rachel goes through an evolutionary process that gives readers a new heroine by the end, one who has changed for the better and who has opened her heart to possibilities.

Bodi is such a breathe of fresh air. While he takes on the more feminine role in the romance novel partnership, Sawyer Bennett still creates a hero who is masculine and sexy and becomes a dominate alpha when needed. His job also serves to counteract the more role reversal. These seemingly opposite traits are combined flawlessly to create a hero worthy of swooning over, and readers will fall head over heals for Bodi, especially for the decision he makes, his ability to express emotions, and for his endless supply of compassion, support, and understanding. So while he is unlike a lot of the heroes we have met in the Wicked Horse, he may be one of my favorites.

For lovers of the Wicked Horse series, Wicked Choice is a departure from what readers have come to expect. The kink is minimal and the influence of the club is less, but it doesn’t matter. We still get heated moments in the club with some kink, but it isn’t in the forefront. The majority of the novel focuses on the development and growth of the characters, as well as the introduction of a new set of characters, who I love just as much as the main characters. The story really focuses on the idea of opening one’s heart to the possibility of love and having the courage to love even if it is lost, and what is really more romantic than that.

Wicked Choice is another great addition to the Vegas series, serving the purpose of connecting the series readers love to a new group of characters they will adore just as much. It sexy, emotional, and romantic, and Sawyer Bennett still manages to add that bit of danger and suspense I always love, making the Wicked Horse a place I want to return to again and again.

Please make sure to read the author’s message in the book prior to reading the story as it is key I think to understanding how this story fits. What do I mean by fit, well, this story isn’t what I think most readers expect from a “Wicked Horse” book.

Now the story, I really did enjoy this one! Bodie Wright and Rachel Hart both work for The Jameson Group, an elite high end security firm owned by Jericho, the hero of book one of the Wicked Horse Vegas series.
Oh I should say this book can absolutely be read stand alone. These mercenaries have strictly working relationship built on trust and mutual respect… until they don’t.

One night crossing that line in the heat of the moment leads to more complications that even could have ever imagined…

When futures are forever changes and careers are on the line… I love Brody so much it was hard not to want to jump into my kindle and huge him!

Besides their work the only other thing Rachel and Bodie have in common is their membership at The Wicked Horse. This makes for some very hot scenes but ones the author masterful weaves emotion into as the story develops.

The Choice in the story is a wonderful one; and one I think will have many readers thinking… I truly enjoyed this angle. I expectations society puts on women can be overpowering and judgmental and well constraining.
In light of this I loved the hero even more, as he never judged, only asked for concessions and in the end the heroines made her OWN decisions!

I am very much looking forward to the next Wicked Horse book as I hope it will return to what I have come to love about this series!

Wicked Choice centres on two work colleagues, who despite their previous professionalism, decide to take their attraction to the bedroom. What neither of them anticipates is that night becoming a pivotal point for both of them.

They’re both kickass mercenaries working for the Jameson Group. This was the business set up by Jericho Jameson, founder of The Wicked Horse Vegas Club, and who’s story you can explore in the first of this series; Wicked Favor. They both also regularly frequent the Wicked Horse, along with a number of their colleagues, but whilst having seen each other at play, have never leapt into each other’s orbit.

Rachel Hart is an accomplished Olympian, who now gets her kicks from chasing cliff jumping around the world. Being the thrill seeker, her job as a mercenary is totally apt, and at 35 years old, she doesn’t plan on slowing down at all.

Bodie Wright has an upbringing in farming, but fancying something different, he joined the Navy, and then became a SEAL. Finding the Jameson group, he got to spend his work life in dangerous situations, but wouldn’t have it any other way.

Following Rachel and Bodie’s night of passion, Rachel finds herself in the family way, and due to past experiences, freaks out. She couldn’t possibly contemplate giving up her current life for a baby, but is blown away when Bodie suggests he could take over. Being 7 years younger than Rachel, Bodie reaches a mature decision that would alter his chosen path.

I’m really liking the altered course of Sawyer’s focus, throwing the light on members of Jameson group’s elite and still maintaining a presence in the Wicked Horse Vegas Club.

Her usual high level steam is enhanced by the thrill of the mercenaries assignments, and the fact that she announces this to be the bridge book launching us into a spin-off series, is great news.

This has been a consistent series for me, and it’s forecast biannual releases make me beam.

Wicked Choice ticked off all my boxes. Sexy, smart, bad ass heroine who takes no shit? Check. Broody, sexy, dirty talking, alpha male lead who isn’t afraid to love? Check. Fun, shit-talking side characters who enhance the romance between the leads? Check. Intricate, smart, well written, suspenseful story that keeps my interest from the first to last page? Check.

I adored the relationship between Rachel and Bodie. Loved how they were so honest and open and true to themselves. Loved watching them grow and mature and figure out how to be the best person they could be and still be in a loving, sexy AF relationship. How to “make it work” even when the odds were against them. I

Sigh. Seriously. I love a sexy AF romantic suspense! And I love this The Wicked Horse Vegas series too! So I was thrilled to learn that Wicked Choice is the start of a new crossover romantic suspense series. AND, that The Wicked Horse Vegas series will continue too. I couldn’t read Wicked Choice fast enough to find out what was going to happen with Rachel and Bodie and quite honestly, Wicked Choice is my new favorite in this excellent series. ~ Missy, 5 stars

This book sparked my interest because I like surprise pregnancy tropes. Wicked Choice is particularly enjoyable because it involves two tough mercenaries and somewhat of a role reversal. The woman doesn’t want a baby, but the baby daddy does.

Rachel is a less-than-affectionate adrenaline junkie who isn’t ready to give up her lifestyle to be a mother. Her colleague Bodhi loves his job but is willing to sacrifice it to raise his child. Never once does Bodhi judge Rachel for her choices and the author avoids painting Rachel as a selfish villain. The progression of their romance feels natural. They don’t fall instantly in love the moment Rachel finds out she’s pregnant.

This book is part of the Wicked Horse Vegas series so of course the sex club is featured, but I think it’s awkwardly forced into the storyline and doesn’t really add anything. It’s a strong story on its own.

I’m a huge Sawyer Bennett fan and I’m a HUGE fan of this series. But with The Wicked Choice, we get a slightly different story from the cast of The Wicked Horse Vegas world. We do get a little bit of play time within the walls of the exclusive sex club set in the midst of sin city, but we focus a bit more on the Jameson group, which will split off into a new series soon.

If you don’t remember how the Jameson Group fits into this series, you’ll get a refresher during the story – which is always helpful since it was first introduced in the book one of the series. One thing is for certain, I can’t get enough of this series.

Bodie and Rachel are both team members in the elite special ops – security firm the Jameson Group, and after one particularly trying mission, they fall in bed together as a way to push down the high emotions of the experience. But what neither of them expected was that they’d end up faced with a pregnancy.

Rachel never saw herself as a mother, but once Brodie learns about it, there is no denying that he wants that baby. Even if it means raising it on his own and giving up on his dreams to move home and raise a baby. Rachel, who might not want a baby agrees to carry it and then let him take the lead.

As they work through the team members finding out, their own growing attraction and eventually the shift that occurs as Rachel opens up about what really makes her so fearful of motherhood.

Now there is no doubt that Brodie’s unwavering support made him so damn swoon worthy – he became an instant favorite, not because he was the hottest – but because he just was just that good of a man. I loved these two together. I loved the age gap – I loved that this situation forced these two strong characters to meet new challenges and I loved how the author handled a tough situation.

As a reader who has very few hard limits, I do have one that has more times than not absolutely ruined a book for me and that is how the characters deal with an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy. There are ways to write aspects into the story that are thoughtful and emotional and occur with care and this book is a prime example of that.

I am also so happy to know that even though we’ll be getting a new series, we aren’t going to have to say goodbye to the Wicked Horse anytime soon.
