They do not ask if I am prophetic, because Christians stopped using the prophetic gift in an encouraging and practical way to let people know what God is saying. Instead, people started using it to tell others they are wrong, expose their sin, and claim that God is not happy with them. This is not the heart of God at all, and it is not prophetic. My goodness, we have our work cut out for us to demonstrate the real heart of God to the world!
I didn’t realize how much I needed this book. I’ve had it on my kindle for a year or so and I didn’t really get to it until now. God works in mysterious ways. I have been doubting prophecy because of the world today. I just don’t know who to believe.
This book is helping me to figure that out. He gives tools on how to not only hear God but to see as well. To see God’s hand in what He does in our lives. I didn’t realize how much can block the voice of God due to Satan not wanting us to hear. I am going to do better to hear the voice of God. I am going to use the tools Doug gives in the book. But this truly was an answer to a prayer I didn’t know I had.

Don't get me wrong, this was a good book. I do get a little bit leery over the mentioning of prophets and prophecy within the context of the Biblical understanding of God's word. A great many of good points were made in this book and one can learn a lot from this book. However, we all must be careful to not get caught up in another person's claim of prophetic abilities, or his assertion within his or her writings. I liked this book and thought that it was well worth the time I spent reading it. Each and every person can learn something different from this book because we all have different needs, with respect to God and God"s intended purpose for our individual lives!

PROFOUND
I found this book to be both eye opening and inspiring. The author was very careful to explain, yet encouraging with each topic he unveiled.
I would recommend this book to anyone who desires to develop a closer connection to God and understand the importance that He speaks to us daily. This communication can come through various avenues(visual, audible,etc.).
I choose this rating because the Word of God tells us to, “ Give honor where honor is due”. Each star represents the impact the book had on its reader. I believe it has had a great impact on my life.

I was not impressed or overly excited about this book until I was about halfway through. The first half is a simplistic review of familiar information on how to hear from God. It is necessarily foundational material for new believers or those who have never been discipled. I anticipated the remainder of the book remaining simple but was pleasantly surprised to find richer material later in the book.

Enlightening
This book offers insights into the gift of prophecy and how to hear God in our daily lives. It touches on supernatural and the spiritual realm too. I like the style of writing which is clear, direct and humble. I learn a lot from this book.

Uplifting and eye opening!

Made a very interesting read using good examples to portray his beliefs. Includes some prayers to bring us closer and build an everlasting bond with God.
