Makoto tends to make allies out of his former foes, provided they be reasonable people. Forgiving too, in a town near the frontier, death is close as a neighbor, but he had his cohorts spare would be assassins when ambushed. Also, Tomoe, likes to keep secrets from her own master mostly for what she perceives for his own good. Really, these characters have complexity to their builds and nature.

I'm liking the turn the series has taken towards business, and the politics of being a merchant. I hope this is a hint of what the rest of the series will be. I'm dying to see more of the business hierarchy of Tsilge and the various company's. Great volume!

Rather altruistic expending that much effort to save the lives of 3 people you don't even know. I mean he mad a phone call and walked to point a from b, but still a lot of effort.

Captivating

I enjoyed the anime series and took a chance on the manga, this volume holds more intrigue and backstory that captivated me. I hope you will also find it true as well.
