In a nutshell... Emily, 23, is a jewelry designer whose once successful business is now failing. Her parents can't help and for some reason she can't get a bank loan. As a last ditch, she contacts a Marvin, a friend of her father's. It seems Marvin has offered to invest in her business or to give her money. All she has to do is spend a weekend with him in Vegas. She's turned him down for at least six months now. As for Marvin, he has lusted -- or loved?? -- Emily since he saw her in a sexy dress at her graduation (I'm assuming it's high school??). No woman has satisfied him since he saw her as a woman. He wants to use their weekend to make her want him like he wants her. Will what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas?
Don't let the description listed for the book fool you. Though it gives an overview of the story -- Dad's friend, weekend in Vegas, sexy times -- it also gives the idea that this will be a DD/s relationship, Emily baby, Daddy's coming for you, and this time there's no turning back.. That's just not there. No biggie, but if that's what you're expecting, you won't get it here.
Okay... The basic story is fine, one I've read before so it's not the story. However, this version doesn't really flow well -- at least not for me. We never get a clear understanding of the deal that brings Marvin and Emily together. Then, Marvin never really discusses his kinks or his expectations with Emily, leaving her to figure them out for herself and getting upset when she doesn't react the way he wants. I mean, he mentions the word "submissive" to her only once while in the throes of passion then never again (that readers know of). I'm assuming she has an idea, but who knows. She doesn't seem very submissive.
I don't find Marvin and Emily that compelling; there's no real depth to any of the characters, really. I get with insta-lust/love or these romance novellas there usually isn't a lot of character development, but shouldn't one root for the protagonists? I found myself not really caring about Emily as I waited on the inevitable "secret" to come out and the story to resolve. As for Marvin, he's not a very dominant dominant. At some point, I started speed-reading just to get to the HEA that comes with these stories.
I can't say it was horrible or that I didn't like it at all. Two stars because it was okay.

Proofread Before Publishing!
Ugh! Nothing is more annoying than trying to read a book that is full of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors! I couldn’t get past the fifth chapter because of the problems, which is unfortunate. I am a fan of older man/younger woman and BDSM stories, but I had to reread too many sentences because of the mistakes. I just can’t understand why people gave such high reviews for this book.

Disappointing
I really wanted to like this author and story. However, there is a type-o in the first sentence! Two more on the second page. I did not read this whole book, because all the mistakes made it too painful! Don't waste your book dollars on this!

Marvin has known Emily all of her life because he is her father's best friend. Now that she's grown up she is all he thinks of and it's not a sweet innocent obsession. Marvin and Emily have great chemistry but I didn't understand why the title "Dirty Daddy" since she never called him daddy. This is an entertaining read filled with drama, angst, steam and a bit of humor. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This is my first Brenda Ford book and I like her work! The chemistry between Marvin and Emily is hot! Emily is a designer and owns her own business but it is not going so well that she may need to close shop. Marvin is Emily’s father’s BFF and has known Emily all of her life. He is an older man, but his love for Emily grew at graduation when he no longer saw her as girl but a woman. He is a bachelor, as he had not met the right one even though he has known her forever. He is also rich, which he comes up with a deal, which is to help her financially if she allows him to pleasure her. What a win-win for her! The story was a little rush at the end, but overall was good.
Unfortunately, some issues do come up and the question is will she forgive and forget? As I mentioned this book is steamy and wonderful!

Dirty Daddy is Brenda Ford's solo book after a long time. Emily a jewelry and fashion designer struggling to build her business back when she nears the situation to sell her shop. So, she decides to take the offer from her father's best friend, Kevin. A weekend in Vegas with him and she gets the money to build back her business. For a long time, both have physical attraction for each other and Emily decides to give in for the desire. One full weekend of pleasure and they fall for each other but there is a secret that Kevin has which spoils everything. How they over come the crisis is the remaining story.
In this book, the need of physical intimacy was more than emotional content. I felt like the couple's emotional turmoil must have detailed some more. Other than that I enjoyed reading the book.

Good story.
Liked this story a lot but did take me a while to get into it as didn't know what the 'offer' was that she accepted. So much for what happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas, there time there was a whole level of hotness but deep down there were a lot more than sexual chemistry. When they got back they couldn't stay away from each other Emily's business was now back to full working order again because of the deal she made with Marvin but just as everything started to look perfect the secret he'd been hiding from her almost cost him her. He knew he loved her & wanted to get her back so he went to talk to his best friend Ben for advice only Ben was also Emily's dad who surprised him by helping him.
Both of them were partly to blame for them splitting up but it took her family & friends to give them a push back together.

This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first page. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I was disappointed. I thought this would be better. But there was no good story behind it. You didn’t really get to know the Charakters. There was this offer and then it was all about Vegas and sex. It got a little boring, I mean I love the hot scenes just as much as the next one. But when there is almost nothing else to the story it just tells like there ist something missing. After Vegas the short fallout and the ending didn’t make it better. I just flipped pages and scanned them to get to the end. Also there were a lot errors in the sentence formation, missing words, wrong words or to much words so that some sentences didn’t make sense.

Emily has always had a crush on Marvin, her Dad's best friend. They have known each other all their lives. When Marvin saw Emily at her graduation, he no longer thought of her as a little girl. She is a woman and he is very interested in her. So much so, that he is willing to make her an offer, an offer that she can't refuse. This is a really steamy story that is off the charts hot and introduces Emily to a new lifestyle. Will it work though? Will she be able to do what Marvin wants. Enjoyed the book though the story was a bit rushed.

Emily owns her own business. Emily has been struggling for awhile now to keep it afloat. Awhile back her dads best friend Marvin had given Emily a preposition. Emily didn't take Marvin at his offer at the time but now she believes that she has no choice to now. Marvin has been waiting for the day for Emily to call and take him up on his offer. When she finally does it changes everything because now she gets to see him as Marvin and not her fathers best friend. Emily didn't realize on how fast her feelings where moving torrid with Marvin. This is quite a good story, not really long but more to the point. The storyline was good and mostly the characters as well. What troubled me at one point is that the leading male character is at one point said to be into BDSM and M/S but then there is hardly anything mentioned about either one again later. There are also quite many typos and other errors that I just cannot overlook and am thus giving this otherwise good story three stars. And then I would recommend one more proofreading...

BDSM is a finicky subject and I think this book would have done better without it. Theirs was nothing wrong with touching the idea and the hero being into but I just think the story would have been smoother without that part because the ending had nothing to do with it.
The story was great and I really did enjoy it and I would have given it 4 stars had it been for bdsm killing it for me. Like I said it’s a finicky subject and I enjoy it, but this book could have gone without it.

Marvin finds himself falling for his best friends daughter as she grows into a woman and even though Emily feels the attraction for him as well she fights it. Marvin’s plan of seducing Emily to make her realize her feelings for him backfires when he fails to tell her about his ownership of her rival company and she feels betrayed. Now they just have to get over this hang up and see that their love is stronger.

To be honest, this story was a bit confusing for me. Marvin truly wants Emily, but the games he plays doesn't really make sense. And Emily didn't seem to want Marvin at the beginning but then craves him (and not in an enemies to lovers way) but yet there isn't really a hint of emotions to explain how they feel so the characters felt a bit flat. There is a lot of steamy hot scenes but I just don't really feel the chemistry between them.nor the romance.

It was and ok read, I found it hard book to get in to at first. The characters were thought out perfectly but I just didnt get the deal that Marvin made, if they both liked each other. Emily was a funny one. The story I just didnt get. Marvin wasnt really a Daddy and he wasnt that dirty. The storyline wasnt quite right, Emily gave it up to Marvin for investment but made him wait 6 months after they fell out. It just didnt add up. It felt like parts of the storyline were missing.

a good romance read , Marvin and Emily make a great couple , although the romance started out as a weekend in Vegas and then he would help her crumbling business , they have a major break up when she discovers that he owns the business her main competition , but her parents step in and bring the couple together again , a good quick read with drama , ups and downs , some steam and a whole lot more

1st. I have read this book before, it may not have been the same title, but the contents were the same, that being said, it was still a good plot and story line.
Older man younger women,but one thing he should have thought of it that you DO NOT TAKE A WOMAN FOR GRANTED.

An amazing older man / younger woman romance! It is beautifully written with a well-developed, consistent, and engaging plot. The storyline is intriguing, emotionally deep, funny, witty, and steamy. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is intense and potent. It is a very exciting read and comes highly recommended. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Oh Emily, you are in for one heck of a surprise ....meeting up with Marvin, your father’s best friend in Vegas. Thing is, Marvin has always loved her and now his attraction is in a different way, a more grown up way. A good story of an older man younger woman attraction and Marvin guiding and loving Emily in lots of ways. Enjoyed it.

Emily’s business was failing and Marvin had offered her a deal. Marvin was her father’s best friend and had wanted her since she had graduated school. Emily wanted him too but at what price. This exciting and fun book had Emily and Marvin sneaking to Vegas, withholding secrets, betraying loved ones, and falling in love. Fun read

Dirty daddy
She’s known him her whole life he’s her dads friend. Her business is in trouble he offers her help for a price. She accepts spending a weekend with him. In his defense he had offered to buy into her company before and she had declined his help. They find they went to spend time together after the weekend is over then of course there has to be a snag that pulls them apart. I thought the very end was rushed with no epilogues of their future
