Just when Cherokee thought she was going to be done with her first love for good, she’s hit with some news that throws a monkey wrench in her plans to rid herself of Dillinger Rivera.
Dillinger is willing to do anything in his power to show Cherokee that she still holds his heart in her hands, even if that means getting rid of his wife, Carmilla. Only thing is, Carmilla is not going to just let go of the man she has dedicated the past five years of her life to that easily.
After being stabbed in the heart by the man she loved, A’Layla has plans on enjoying the single life with no interruptions. Too bad Santos refuses to accept the fact that she’s done with him for good. If that wasn’t enough, she still has the undeniably sexy chocolate god known as Jacier in her corner, slowly breaking down her walls. With both headstrong men willing to do whatever it takes to be the man in her life, A’Layla is thrown into a whirlwind of drama that she never saw coming.
This was a quick read and very entertaining. This 2nd installment has me way more invested. Things are getting real and I feel like Dillinger and Santos are finally gonna get their karma. Those men need professional help!! Okay, I admit that I was wrong about Jacier. He seems to be the only one with his head on right! It’s so hard not to expect the worst when everyone else is so trifling. I already wasn’t a fan of Dillinger or Santos so I’m happy to see the girls snapping out of it and reclaiming their independence. I really hope Layla can get her man back. I’m definitely team Jacier, I NEED THEM TO WORK OUT! I’m locked in to this storyline now.

I knew I should have waited until part three came out to read this series, but I’m thoroughly entertained... Layla is not over Santos... but some stuff is just not forgivable.
This was a pretty good read... Although in the beginning it felt like it may have plateaued a little bit... It did start to pick up little by little... I kept feeling so undecided on if these couples should be together because everything that kept going on... I still kind of feel some type of way... But I guess we need to wait for part 3 to see how it will all play out... Okay so this love triangle with Dillinger, Carmilla and Cherokee just kept coming up... Then you throw Toshonda in there... Man Dillinger just keeps making bad moves... He knew that he should not have been with Carmilla... Before he got married he said it did not feel right... But to try and prove a point that he was over Cherokee he married Carmilla... Only for it to end up the way he knew it would... I mean the connection that Dillinger and Cherokee have is undeniable... But I feel that Cherokee should cut Dillinger off until he gets his personal life in order... To me it is like she is okay being the side chick... Even when Dillinger was working on getting a divorce... She should have just left him alone... But I guess we see how all of this has played out so far... But also Carmilla , like most woman scorned... Will not go down without a fight... As Dillinger is going along thinking that he can just keep hurting women like he does... Carmilla is about to shut it all down and prove a point... She is coming at him with a vengeance... It may just cost Dillinger his freedom... Then we have Jacier, Layla and Santos... Santos wants to do what he wants and he thinks that Layla just has to sit back and take it... Well Jacier stepped in and proved that not all men are like Santos... I just hate that with the little games that Santos keeps playing, Jacier is taking it out on Layla... I'm like she has pro en who she wants to be with yet Jacier keeps pushing her away... Okay so yes she should not have been sneaking behind Jacier's back to see Santos... But she was just concerned with everything that he is dealing with... Okay fine so this last time Jacier is right... Layla was wrong with how she handled things and that does put doubt in Jacier's head... So now Layla might have just lost the best man ever... All because she could not just keep it 100 with Jacier... But I guess we will have to wait to see how she will recover from this now that her brothers have given her this new information about the whole situation... Is Jacier really done with Layla for good... Will he give her one more chance... If so can Layla really give Santos up completely like she says... What will happen with Dillinger... Will Carmilla be able to take him down for how he treated her or will all of this backfire... Will Cherokee have it in her to stay by Dillinger's side through it all... Or will she finally walk away from it all... Will she realize who Toshonda is or will this keep flying over her head... Will she just continue to play the side chick... Well let's see what part 3 will bring...
Made it through part 2 in just a few hours and let me say I can’t wait to get through this review so I can start the 3rd book. Ok so, Cherokee I still love her but girl get over it although she did... I guess she had to give him hell about her sister. Im so happy she’s having a girl tho...Dillinger please kill this bihhh. I know, I know , I KNOWWWWW I would be pissed to if my husband left me but the difference is I’ve been married for 9yrs, she only been married for 2.5 seconds, on top of that she only wanted to stay with Dillinger because she wanted to prove to everyone else she had him. I never liked Camilla...Lay let Santos ass go!! I understand where she’s coming from but he didn’t appreciate you when he had you so let his best friend be there to support him. Jacier don’t leave this dumb a$$ girl she still learning smh...oh and before I go this Tashonda girl just do your JOB!!!!! Everyone pretty much know Cherokee and Dilly belong together 🙄 Now for pt 3
Picked up right where the last installment left off with drama and more drama. I'll be glad when Dillinger and Cherokee finally get it together and stop all this back and forth. Now, that dang Carmilla, I can't stand her and she's wrong for the mess she's starting, cause Dillinger don't want her. Now, as far as Lay and Santos I don't know what to say about them..... Yes, he messed up, but he does truly love her. Lay, is with Jacier, but her heart is still with Santos. It's something about Javier, that I can't put my finger on; hopefully, it'll be revealed in the next installment. After that ending, I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Good job Charmanie Saquea.
I knew this *itch was up to no good! Never trusted her...she needs to get gone! Part two of this book was just as good. A lot of ups and downs. It also left me a bit confused on who I’m really rooting for. Santos or Jacier...(still don’t trust him). Dillinger...he’s doing some sneaking ish I’m not liking... Tashonda and Cherokee...like really dude! I’m really looking forward to see what’s gonna happen next. I hope part three comes out like how part two came out..ASAP. Good read!
Carmilla tried it for real!!!…That messy heart is going to get her in trouble for real!!!… Santos really doing too much for real!!!…He never expected Layla to walk and not look back, but he for sure is mad at the wrong person!!!… Dillinger has got to be steaming watching Carmilla sitting on that stand!!!…In court with 3 women in their feelings about him!!!… I truly hope Layla get herself together and be open to what Jacier has to offer her!!!…
I really enjoyed this series so far but I don’t like the fact that that you’re making Alaya so innocent I like her with the new guy but she was keeping secrets also even tho there were not together when then got back together she should of told Santos they should of put everything on the table I think Santos and the doctor should get together I can’t wait to see how everything plays out for Dilly!
This book is full of surprises. Carmilla is something else. She should have known how things were going to go. Lay played know games when she left Santos. He truly needs to get it together and be a father. Lay was a good woman and he messed up. Cherry was a trip. I could only laugh when it came to her and Dilly. Hopefully things work out between them because from the looks of things. I am on the fence.
Ok I was not ready for that To be continue Carmilla is a bougie Scorn woman but only if she New she is a accessory to the murder because she gave out all his information I didn't like her Bougie axx from the first book and I don't Thank Jacier is this good man that everybody think he is it's something about him seems sneaky to me I don't trust him I need Part 3 ASAP please.
I just knew Carmilla was going to be the witness because she's a scorned woman. In the first book I thought Jacier had a motive but I was wrong and hopefully he forgive Layla for what she was doing because she was so happy with him, I'm hoping Santos pull through. Dilly is all confused and I'm wondering what Cherry decision is going to be as far as being with him. About to read part 3
This book was just as good as part 1....I really enjoyed it...I really would love to see Dillinger and Cherokee together...this book was filled with so much craziness and drama. I was not ready for that ending...I can’t wait to read part 3...Charmaine you out did yourself with this one...10 stars from me...I highly recommend this series...BTW I hate Carmilla....
Can we get a spin off with Laya brothers tho, they seem so wise. Jacier is bae. Im ready for trouble to come out and play. As much as i like Santos he trying it on all levels. When Cherry and Dilly gonna get it together. Umm this lawyer chick gonna b trouble later on. Cant wait for part 3
Dillinger, smh why did you get into this situation with ol' girl?! I knew she was up to something. The drama continues in this one and it gets crazy. Santos is not one of my favorites in this one. I hope he just lets Layla be happy. Jacier is my guy. That soul tie is strong with Layla and Santos, I hope she's able to do what's best for her.
I knew Camilla would be the one to testify against Dillinger. She’s a woman scorned so I wasn’t surprised. I’m glad Dillinger and Cherokee are back together and I hope everything works for them. As for princess Lay, she needs to fix things with Javier, he’s a good dude. I can go on about this book. I loved it! Hurry with part 3!
But Lay ain't as innocent as she is being portrayed. She did stuff too. She got pregnant by someone else hid it had an abortion and as a result she can't have kids. She never told Santos about it either. I think she salty because she couldn't give him a baby first. I really ain't feeling her at all.

Loved the first one second one was great now to head on to the third one and see what’s going to happen with Lay and Jacier. I can’t wait to see if she actually ends up having her own child with him. Let’s see what Camilla has up her sleeve she been dirty since the beginning. Can’t wait to read. Keep up the good work.
I knew that Carmilla had something to do with the murder charges. I need Layla to get it together and let’s Jacier love her! Cherry and Dilly still can’t leave each other alone.
THESE MEN DIDN'T KNOW THEY HAD GOOD WOMEN UNTIL IT WAS TO LATE .I DON'T TRUST THIS JAICER GUY AT ALL SOMETHING IS JUST NOT RIGHT ABOUT HIM CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT BOOK HOPE IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG
Being hurt by the one you love can cause a lot of pain Santos hurt Lay and in return she moved on with Jacier. Dillenger never stopped loving Cherokee out of sight out of mind until she returned 8 years later. Carmilla doesn't have Dillengers so she won't win.
This series is getting better and better. Layla needs to decide where her heart really is while meanwhile Dillinger and Cherokee are going through their own drama. With that ending please hurry with part 3
This right here just keep getting better and better....what a tangled web...Dillinger is playing with too many lives here....I hope Layla gets her mind right...
Part 1 was amazing but part 2 not so much..I couldn't get into the kindle version because it's missing pages. I believe it's a great book because the first one was but it's hard to discern what's going on with blank pages thrown in.
A woman scorned is a death sentence. Carmilla is definitely a woman scorned and she is out for blood. Dillinger is in a tuff situation but I think it's time for him to really show her who he really is...
The drama continues. I don’t know what’s going to happen between these characters. Hopefully Lay can figure out who does she want and Cherokee finally make up her mind.
This book pick up right where part 1 left off. I love Jacier and Layla together I think that they was made for each other. I hope Cherokee and Dillinger get it together. The ending was crazy. I'm definitely reading part 3.
Great storyline. These men are Savage and I hope Camilla really gets her Karma. I understand she is very hurt but I think she knew what she was doing.About to read book 3...
Ik it was Camilla, I don’t understand her like seriously yes he went about Cherokee the wrong way but damn.. I love Santos n I wish him n Layla could work it out but I’m also loving j
I’m getting annoyed by how this author draws a lot out and makes you feel like your not going to read another page than reels you back in with that cliffhanger ending . I guess I will be reading this whole series.
