BL que me encontré de casualidad y donde las reseñas comentaban lo bonita que era la historia, así que en una de estas noches que no puedo dormir lo comencé. He de admitir que tenías mis reservas al principio porque los últimos BL que había leído o bien era muy tóxica la relación, no le veía profundidad en la relación o no había consentimiento en algunas partes. Yo, lo siento a mi ese tipo de cosas me ponen mala y yo solo quiero leer cosas bonitas y creer en el amor.
“I’m happy just having him by my side. I want to hear you call to me. He’s different from everyone around me. But that’s not why I sought after him. My body becomes hot when I see you, talking with you makes me nervous. Your gestures yours expressions. All of it is precious to me”.
Al final me gustó más de lo que me esperaba. Me ha parecido una historia más realista y sincera de otras que he leído. Sin embargo, hay dos cosas que me echan para atrás: por un lado, la diferencia de edad entre los protagonistas me choca aún un poco pero tampoco es exagerado además el manga trata ese tema y lo gestiona bien, al menos en mi opinión. El segundo punto es algo que también me he visto en muchos mangas románticos y es que al poco de conocerse las parejas ya hablan de enamoramiento y de querer esa persona. Yo no me creo que eso sea un enamoramiento, sino más bien que están en esa primera fase de luna de miel y todo les parece bonito. No sé, igual soy yo la extraña…cosa que tampoco dudo.

A pesar de lo que he dicho negativo lo recomiendo, sigue siendo una lectura bonita. Solo soy yo que tengo mis “manías”.

That, my friends, is how you beautifully end a story! Hana wa Saku ka's ending was sweet and very realistic. The couple, Sakurai-san and Youichi, made it work despite the external challenges they had.
I highly recommend this if you like:
- age gap romance
- slow-burn
- coming-of-age
- angst
Definitely going to check out Shoko Hidaka's other works!

大満足!
Seriously, this was the perfect conclusion to a perfect series. While I'm sad to see this end, I know I will reread this manga again and again because it's just that good, so it will continue to be part of my life.
I also loved the omake manga included in the booklet that came with the special edition.

All of that were drawn with care and full of feels. Yes. This is the rewards for the snail-pace ✊🏻😭

le doy un dos pq a los 4 tomos anteriores les di un 3 yyy parte de la culpa la tenía el sueño que me estaba persiguendo desde antes pero en ciertos momentos ponían mucho texto para temas que no me terminaron de atrapar y bueno me dormía en vivo, muy lindo todo pero no lo reelería eso ya dice mucho tratándose de mí

Se, da un lato, Sakurai e Yoichi hanno finalmente trovato un nuovo equilibrio e sono pronti a costruirsi un futuro insieme, dall'altro, altre questioni sono ancora in attesa di risposta.
La figura di Yosuke Minagawa, padre di Yoichi, gioca ancora una volta un ruolo chiave: il suo testamento rischia di portare alla demolizione della pensione. Dopo anni passati nella solitudine e in silenzio, Yoichi inizia a far sentire la sua voce per proteggere ciò che ama veramente, per spiegare i suoi sentimenti nei confronti di una figura paterna tanto ingombrante. Se Yoichi non si è mai fatto problemi a stare da solo, Yosuke era sempre circondato da una schiera di amici e ammiratori, che si affannavano a riempire di complimenti lui e le sue opere. Insomma, due figure apparentemente agli antipodi. L'arrivo di Sakurai porta a una svolta della vita di Yoichi e lo spinge a rapportarsi con gli altri, ad affrontare cose lasciate in disparte.
Viene dato spazio anche ad altre informazioni relative al passato del ragazzo, soprattutto legate alla malattia della madre, una realtà dolorosa da cui il padre ha sempre cercato di proteggerlo. A fare da contraltare a questo, ci sono i progetti per il futuro: Shota abbandona momentaneamente la pensione per iscriversi all'università, Takeo è alla ricerca della strada da seguire, Yoichi continua a dipingere e al contempo vuole occuparsi in prima persona della pensione. In attesa del definitivo ritorno di Sakurai da Osaka.
Devo dire che questa storia mi è piaciuta molto, anche a livello di tratto dei disegni. I personaggi non mi sono dispiaciuti (tranne quel fissato di Fujimoto) e la storia tra Yoichi e Sakurai è stata sviluppata bene, senza fretta e in maniera molto delicata. Dopotutto, i due provengono da mondi profondamente diversi, la differenza d'età si traduce in un divario considerevole in termini di esperienze. Eppure, a dispetto delle varie difficoltà, i nostri protagonisti capiscono che non è sempre necessario fare tutto da soli, che non si può vivere solo in funzione del passato e che non bisogna avere paura di aprirsi agli altri.
Insomma, una lettura consigliata!

Una obra intensa amb un protagonista que arrossega uns vincles familiars complexos i carregats de trauma, amb la pressió de viure a l'ombra del seu pare artista, incapaç de mostrar els seus sentiments ni interessar-se per res de cop i volta s'enamora d'un home 20 anys més gran i que té un context familiar semblant. M'ha agradat molt més aquesta obra que no pas Blue Morning, però el final m'ha semblat poc satisfactori i mancat d'un clímax a l'altura de tanta intensitat i introspecció... Tan difícil era mostrar la seva vida passats els 3 anys, si finalment fan públics la relació i què carai acaba passant amb la casa???? :/ els tres primers volums són els millors, un crescendo d'emocions en què la relació evoluciona del rebuig a l'atracció total. 3 estrelles l'últim volum pel final.

I just love the vibe this story exudes, it is warm and breezy. The characters are endearing and the emotions are heartfelt. So much so that I can't help get sucked into it.The principle protagonists Sakurai and Youichi are sincere and real. I love the way their interactions progress, Organically. From people who can't apparently stand each other to lovers who are perfect for one another. While reading the manga and even after, I was in a state of bliss and I felt content. It is truly an endearing, (slice of life) manga with its heart in the right place. Just like the characters in a way, a bit crazy but with their hearts in the right place.

i liked the ending tho tbh i wish this story ended up being longer (unpopular opinion i feel) esp regarding the plot progression; blue morning does it rlly well there. the thing that makes this story stand out are the characters and their budding relationships. the plot is ok tho it’s all relatively low stakes imo,
anyways this was a lovely read, im suspecting a reread in the future bc idk if i was in the right mood when i first read this? we’ll see.
it was endearing to see youichi flustered :P and im glad sakurai is finally being more upfront now. their age difference still makes me feel a bit perplexed but i appreciated how hidaka handled it for the most part.

Excelente de principio a fin.
Mi segundo manga favorito de los que tienen Hidaka (el primero es y será siempre Blue Morning). Una historia preciosa, adulta y con muchas subtramas bien pensadas y ninguna fuera de lugar, con los tiempos bien medidos, personajes carismático y realistas y una historia bien hilada que termina de un modo hermoso y delicado.
Simplemente, 5 estrellas.

Loved seeing Youichi grow and become more aware of other people. And make friends! Yay!
I loved all the side characters too.. even Fujimoto at the end LOL. He redeemed himself. He was a great friend to Youichi.
I don’t really like that big of an age gap but the mangaka made it work. I liked this series and would definitely read it again!

Would've liked to see how their relationship developed after the three years but overall, it was a good ending.
Really liked the story they drew up in this manga. The characters were great and their love story didn't feel rushed at all.

Inferiore a "Malinconiche mattine" sotto diversi punti di vista, ma comunque piacevole.
Consigliata a chi ha un debole per i personaggi che si struggono e si mettono in discussione prima di arrivare all'autorealizzazione.

Reseña para la serie completa
Does the Flower Blossom? se ha revelado como uno de mis favoritos, ya la tengo en mi wishlist y en cuanto la editen completa en inglés (que la saquen en español ni me lo planteo, así está el mercado del BL en este país), compra obligada.
Es una historia pausada y muy de sentimientos, muy adulta, nada de despliegues sexuales, el acercamiento cuesta y sabe a victoria, he disfrutado sobre todo los 3 últimos volúmenes, y el final... bueno, se me queda corto, pero me encanta como la mangaka ha sido realista y no ha edulcorado todo.
Un aplauso para Hidaka Shoko, a la que empiezo a seguirle la pista desde ya
