The best instalment in the manga series yet! Serina and Mizukawa really are a shining example of a couple who respect each other's boundaries and support each other's choices.
The change in setting in this volume was great and brought with it a lot of fun. It was lovely to see Serina interacting with Mizukawa's friends, especially the female ones. And they weren't the only new characters that entered the fray in this volume. There was the classic "return of the ex" scenes to contend with! The ex was meddlesome, but the couple's relationship was so strong literally nothing could break it, which, naturally, I loved. Can't wait to see what other battles the duo face next!

Still very invested, absolutely hate other girl drama and that they act like exes are a thing when you're 16/17. Like you dated someone after work for a couple months in the summer as a teenager but the girl always acts like it was this big relationship. Literally so dumb. But I'm sure that's how teenagers feel but just makes these ex encounters so ridiculous to read as an adult. The rest is still cute, I like how they admitted they weren't ready for sex, I feel like that doesn't get dealt with enough.

I think that it’s this volume that made me fall in love with the series.
It does bother me that it is the only manga, that I know of, that talk about having sex. Serina is still a virgin therefore a conversation occurred about this between the two and it shown as being something important for Serina but for Mizukawa as well. And god, this is so important and yet never talked about in manga even though it should be a normal conversation you have with the person you are dating. I did laugh when he told her not to have high hopes about it. I wish someone would have told me that too!
Once again, Mizukawa always put communication first instead of letting Serina imagining things that aren’t true especially since a new character is introduced in this volume. The latter being a cause of trouble. He is also there for Serina’s friend and tried to help her. At this point I’m like, is there something Mizukawa is bad at? Don’t think so!

Mizukawa telling Serina not to expect much in regards to sex was hilarious. But once again, I love how willing he is to adapt to what makes her comfortable

I love this sweet couple - they communicate even about difficult matters, and their relationship is growing steadily closer. Mizukawa is a great boyfriend (maybe a little too thoughtful to be realistic), and is aware of Serina’s anxieties even when she won’t admit them. They handled the sex talk very maturely (he really explained it to her and pseudo-demonstrated? that’s taking things to a new level, poor guy. I imagine that was hard 😏 although I couldn’t help but wonder - if she’d said yes, where were they going to do it? In the public bath?). And OMG that Valentine’s Day gift was so over the top cute.
It appears that his friend is developing a thing for her, but too bad, friend. Too late to scoop her up, Mizukawa has her locked down. And it turns out there’s a Mizukawa in her year as well...could this be a little brother he somehow neglected to mention?

Avis intégral sans spoils :
pour ce qui est de ce manga au départ sur le premier volume j’était grave emballé par la façon donc les personnages se rencontrent et se mettent en couple car cela changeait de tous ces shojo classiques.
Après ,pour ce qui est de la suite j’étais encore bien emballé car le mec avait les mains baladeuses donc je pensais qu’on allait enfin être sur un manga qui n’est pas « tout innocent » mais non le personnage féminin Serina reste une fille timide qui mettra plusieurs fois des vents à son chéri ,ce qui est bien dommage donc finalement nous sommes sur un shojo très classique, du déjà vu et surtout il n’a rien de plus qu’un autre j’ai donc décidé d’abandonner au volume 5.

Der Zeichenstil ist recht einfach und teilweise recht skizzenhaft. Aber irgendwie wirkt er sehr leicht und passt super zur Geschichte. Wie so oft vermisse ich ein paar mehr Hintergründe.
Die Entwicklung der beiden ist großartig. Ich mag nach wie vor die Ehrlichkeit und Offenheit, die Drama im Keim erstickt. Alles wirkt so normal und bodenständig. Eine Beziehung, die sich die meisten wohl genauso wünschen. Ich mag's zum Wohlfühlen und werde wohl bald ne Großbestellung mit den restlichen Bänden machen.

More of a 3.5 star rating;
I like how subtly affectionate Mizukawa is compared to how open Serina is to wanting to show him affection; they really balance each other out. I also really like how willing Mizukawa is to getting Serina to talk about their issues, instead of letting things simmer to potentially cause a greater issue later; specifically when they encountered his ex while on that mini vacation with friends.

The score stands three for three so far in this series! Each installment has been as enjoyable as the last, and we've had some good character development in our leads through every passing chapter. Serina meets one of Mizukawa's exes in this volume and feels shaken after—the situation is handled well by the couple, however, and, while I dislike his ex, I don't resent the author for including her.
I've put a hold on the fourth volume at my library and look forward to reading it!

I just really like the way the main couple interacts in this series: the boy is awkward yet kind, and the heroine is warm without being a pushover. It’s just really sweet to see their relationship grow in realistic ways. I hope the plague of unnecessary drama for plot tension stays far, far away from them.

4.5⭐️ Serina is the sweetest girlfriend ever omfg I love her sm, the Valentine’s Day chapter had me smiling so hard. I love how Mizukawa lets her be herself and shows his love in a quiet but supportive way. I’m literally already ready for them to get married and be together forever.

I am glad that Mizukawa reassured Koshino though. He didn’t make her feel worse or get upset that she was jealous.
