When Maria Blanchard asked Navy Seal Trevor Daniels to father a child with her, no strings attached, Trevor had no idea just how explosive his chemistry would be with the fiery woman who had been a wallflower during their high school years. He vowed never to contact her again after the positive pregnancy test. A year later, when one of Trevor’s dark ops missions ends with the death of his captain and suspicions aimed at him, Maria’s the only investigator he knows who can help him crack the case.
Maria Blanchard had been raised to be a proper Southern Belle, an archetype so wrong for her she’d retreated into books during her high school years. When the police academy finally gave her the guts to be the strong woman she’d always desired, she realized she didn’t need anyone to achieve her dreams. Not to get her dream job, and certainly not to get her dream baby. Still, when her childhood crush agreed to father her baby, she hadn’t expected her heart to open along with her legs.
When Trevor shows up on Maria’s doorstep in need of her help, he calls in his favor. However, being wanted for a military crime means that Maria won’t just be helping Trevor, she’ll be harboring a fugitive, and the father of her child. Unable to say no, when her pride and her heart are screaming yes, Maria agrees to help Trevor one final time before they break ties.
But as their bond grows stronger and love ignites, it becomes a rush to save Trevor’s life before they lose out on a future they could only dream of.
It isn’t a big surprise Katie Knight ended up writing romances about the stellar, studdly men of the Navy SEALs; after all, she was a K-9 trainer for the SEALs and met her own Navy SEAL hero husband while preparing one of their K-9 partners for combat. A few years after their marriage, her and hubby decided to retire with their K-9 partner, Sam, to raise their children in the Midwest. It wasn’t long after that before Katie decided to write her own stories featuring the men of the SEAL teams and the women who love them.
When not imagining dangerously romantic scenarios for her heroes and their feisty heroines, Katie enjoys hikes with her husband and Sam, spending time with her children, and long runs (on and off the beach).
Meh. It wasn't much. I did love how he reacted to meeting his daughter. The whole search for the bad guy was too easy, and the way they were sending files around to people...it just didn't buy it.
Saving the Seal Baby Daddy by Katie Knight and Leslie North is a contemporary story of a Seal under suspicion of murder for killing his captain while on a mission in Afghanistan. He has returned home, not yet charged, and called on the person he knows will be able to help him: Maria Blanchard, and childhood friend, a private investigator, and, in a not related matter, the mother of his daughter, Camille. Trevor Daniels has an uneasy relationship with his family and had signed a contract saying he would have no contact with Maria or Camille, but he knew she could help him. And, of course, she agreed. He checked out of his parents' home into a small, rent-by-the-week apartment, which lasted one day until someone broke in and trashed the place. Out of concern, Maria offered him her couch. Can they find the evidence that will clear him?
Saving the Seal Baby Daddy is a good story, with an interesting, almost believable plot. There are red herrings and subplots aplenty with both the investigation and Maria and Trevor's situation. There are some extremely funny parts, especially between Camille and Trevor and dirty diapers and formula. Knight writes a good story. A read can never go wrong choosing her book. She has good pacing and writes and interesting story; her characters are believable and interesting. There is generally a happy ending. I recommend it.
I received a free ARC of Saving the Seal Baby Daddy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--Saving The SEAL Baby Daddy by Katie Knight is a contemporary, adult, stand alone, erotic romance story line in the author’s SEAL series presented by Leslie North. This is Navy SEAL Trevor Daniels, and former police officer/PI/single mother Maria Blanchard’s story line. Saving the SEAL Baby Daddy can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Trevor and Maria) Saving the SEAL Baby Daddy follows US Navy SEAL Trevor Daniels in the wake of his latest overseas deployment that went all to h*ll, Charged with the murder of his SEAL team leader Captain Andrew McArthur, Trevor is hoping to jump start his own investigation back home. Enter former police office turned private investigator, and the mother of his only child, Maria Blanchard. What ensues is the rekindling friendship and building relationship between Trevor and Maria, and the potential fall-out as the threats against Trevor’s life increase as the investigation begins to reveal the dangerous truth.
One year earlier, Maria Blanchard approached family friend and SEAL Trevor Daniels to help father a child, a child he would never see and with whom he would never have any contact. Fast forward to present day wherein Trevor, desperate to prove his innocence, hires the mother of the child he never met, a child he will immediately love and protect but Maria struggles with Trevor’s return, and the possibility that our hero will demand time with his daughter.
The relationship between Maria and Trevor begins as a business arrangement wherein Maria wants Trevor to get her pregnant but will not be allowed any future involvement with the child he may never know. Back from deployment, Trevor struggles to prove he is not a murderer, a struggle that now involves the woman with whom he will fall in love. The $ex scenes are passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Trevor and Maria’s daughter Camille; Trevor’s siblings Tamsyn, and JAG Tim Daniels, and their parents, Penelope and Mr. Daniels, FBI Agent Thompson, as well as several tech geniuses who work with our story line heroine.
Saving the SEAL Baby Daddy is a story of betrayal, vengeance, power and lies; a story of family, friendship, and love. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the characters are energetic and strong; the romance seductive but I struggle to feel the palpable sexual attraction between our leading couple.
The SEAL's Baby Arrangement by Katie Knight is a Contemporary, Military Romance. Maria Blanchard wanted a baby but not a man so she asked her old friend Navy Seal Trevor Daniels to father a child with her. He agreed and signed a contract never to contact her again after the positive pregnancy test. But a year later he shows up her front door asking for her help. But as they work together old feelings get stronger and their attraction gets hotter and hotter and it's getting harder to hide their love. A well-written, emotional storyline with lovable characters and an adorable baby. A must read! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Knight gives action free rein. Saving the Seal Baby Daddy packs some big emotions in a small package. Maria and Trevor make more than memories, when they find themselves embedded in a mystery that could have deadly repercussions. From friends to lovers to partners in crime this dynamic duo is in for the ride of their lives. Nothing says lovin' like a little danger between co- parents. Steam has nothing on intrigue in this fast paced thrilling romance.
Audio Review: The SEAL's Baby Arrangement by Katie Knight (Author), Leslie North (Author), Ryan Francona (Narrator)
Second chance romance tries it's hand at mystery theater and gives a binge worthy performance. I have voluntarily listened and reviewed, The SEAL's Baby Arrangement. Knight and Francona deliver a story readers can really sink their teeth into. The romance is complicated. The suspense is intriguing and the finish line will have hearts thirsting for more.
Saving the SEAL Baby Daddy is is the first novel I've read by Katie Knight and Leslie North, and it was, for the most part, an entertaining and interesting read, although I'm not a fan of the terms, "baby daddy" and "baby mama" in real life or in print, and especially in a book title, as I find both terms demeaning, as though that sums up all that one person is to another person. I nearly stopped reading when the baby in question, Camille, "needed changed." I have no clue why the words "to be" fell out of favor, or why baby Camille didn't "need changing", but "needed changed" was something this former English teacher simply couldn't accept. I did, however, like the characters in this novel, as well as the plot, and it gets 3.5 stars from this reader.
Single, self-employed, private investigator Maria Blanchard, who was raised to be the perfect southern belle, disappointed her family by wanting to be more than that, joined the police force, then left the police force after years of service, eventually opening her own business. She is now working for herself as a private investigator, and has been successful at it, balancing her work and motherhood as well as she possibly can.
One year earlier, Maria felt her biological clock ticking away and wanted to have a child of her own. Having met no one who interested her more than her childhood crush on Trevor Daniels, who is now a Navy SEAL, and, while he was home on leave, she offered him a proposition and a contract--sleep with her long enough to impregnate her, and once Maria conceived, have no further contact with her or his child, and no future obligations to them whatsoever. It was a proposition he eventually considered and accepted. He did, in fact, get her pregnant, and one year later, when baby Camille, who was truly a delight in this novel, is now three months old, Maria is shocked to answer the knock on her door one evening and find Trevor on her doorstep, in violation of their contract.
Trevor is in serious trouble, about to be booted from the SEALs, and possibly end up in Leavenworth Penitentiary--he's been accused of murdering his superior officer. He knows he's innocent, and has come to hire Maria to investigate the incident, find out who really killed Trevor's captain and why, and to help clear Trevor of any wrongdoing. Maria, who never expected to see Trevor again is stunned, but there's been no man in her life since Trevor, and she knows him well enough to know that he'd never have committed such a crime. Since Trevor has family in town, which includes his father, who'd served time in prison for tax fraud, and with whom he's had a rocky relationship ever since. Trevor doesn't want them to know what he's facing yet, and asks to sleep on Maria's sofa as she tries to get to the bottom of who's framing him for murder and why. Reluctantly, Maria agrees, having been assured that Trevor will go back to the SEALs as soon as he's been cleared of the crime, and stay out of their lives forever.
What neither Trevor nor Maria counted on was Trevor falling deeply and immediately in love with his baby daughter, nor did either of them consider just how explosive their sexual chemistry was, and it doesn't take long for them to act on it, although they both realize that once Trevor is no longer under suspicion, he'll return to the SEALs. Although Maria doesn't want a man in her life who's gone to parts unknown on what could be deadly missions, for months if not years at a time, she's finding it hard to resist how sweetly and lovingly he interacts with baby Camille, and how kind, considerate and helpful he is to her. The fact that he's a gorgeous, sexy hunk of a man doesn't hurt either.
Will Maria be able to clear Trevor of the murder he didn't commit? Will their sexual attraction blossom into something more? If and when Maria helps discover who did murder Trevor's superior officer, will she and baby Camille be in any danger? Will Trevor regret his decision to involve Maria in this case, which may post serious risks to both her and their baby? There are plenty of questions to be answered, but not by this reviewer.
This is, after all, a novel of romantic suspense, so you already know there will be an HEA ending, but I found that ending far too abrupt and far too amorphous to be emotionally satisfying after what was otherwise quite a gripping read. Aside from my issues with the title and some phraseology, this was a very good, very enjoyable, well-written novel, and had there been a fully-fleshed out HEA ending, it would have earned a higher rating from this reader.
Should you decide to order this novel, please be advised that it appears that the title has been changed to The SEAL's Baby Arrangement, which is how it is listed on Amazon.com, a change I was happy to note.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.
Book covers in the romance genre are usually meant as a bait. I do not mind that at all, it’s just part of the game. I’m much more against weird titles that do not make any justice to the book. Saving the SEAL Baby Daddy screams all the worst things for the genre that I can imagine; but, actually, the book is much better than the nightmare going on on my head before starting the story.
In this book we meet Trevor, a young SEAL soldier who is being wrongly accused of his captain’s death. Luckily for him, he knows a great private investigator, Maria, and asks for her help so they can clear up his name. So far, nothing special. The twist is, Maria’s daughter is also Trevor’s daughter. The daughter he swore to stay away from…
Let’s begin with the part that has suprised me: the investigation to prove Trevor’s innocence. With that title, I was expecting that part to be almost like an afterthought. Something to mention now and then between bouts of sex. Thankfully, it has much more weight than that, which makes the book a lot more enjoyable. Is there romance? Of course. Are there sex scenes? You bet! Is all well balanced with good timing? YES! And that, sadly, is a rara avis in the “fast processed” kind of book.
Even though I liked the story, it didn’t satiate my hunger for it. The ending is nice (the good guys win, in case you were wondering…); but, during the investigation, several clues are dropped that suggerst the issue was much bigger than expected. That it must go pretty high in the food chain. They caught the small fish, solved Trevor’s problem and they moved on… I have the feeling the real bad guys are still at large. And that saddens me a little.
My biggest issue with this book are the characters. I will start with Maria. I only have this one book to judge her, but I can’t picture her in good light. She is a fraud. We are told she is the ultimate private investigator, but the only thing she does is calling friends to do the real work… Thankfully she doesn’t take all the credit, but I wouldn’t be surprised otherwise. I didn’t like her as a PI, but as a mom she is even worse. A single parent is like a superhero. No way around that. Most of them are single parents not by choice, so when Maria took the step to become one she did something really brave. But then, her stupidity took the best of her. Rising a daughter by your own means is a nice life goal, but you have to always think about the kid first. Writing a contract to ban the father and his family for ever seeing your daughter (when you have a good relationship with them) is one of the most selfish things I have ever read. Why do you do that to youself and, more importantly, to your own kid? Under any circuntansces you should have a kid on your own just to make a point no one really cares about…
And the fact that Trevor goes along with that doesn’t help to make me like him. We are told he is the sweetest, most honorable, most loyal, the most of the most guy on our planet. But somehow he doesn’t think twice about signning a contract to renounce of his daughter. That doesn’t scream honorable, precisely. The author tries to save the day telling us that Trevor stalked his daughter through social media, but that only makes things worse. Do you care or not? Make up your mind!!
All that situation is a plot mess and, if that part were the main focus, the book would have been very forgettable and with a much lower mark. That’s why we have always been told that we should not judge a book by its cover or, in this case, by its title.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a good read. There was plenty of action. The characters were realistic as well (baby Camille was adorable.) The plot flowed smoothly. Trevor and Maria had a contract. She was independent and had a good career as a P.I. but she desired a baby. She knew Trevor a Navy SEAL lived for his career and wasn't ready to settle down. What better than to ask him to father her baby. The stipulation was that Trevor and his family have nothing to do with her or the baby.
A year later, Trevor is desperate to save his name and career following the murder of his captain after a mission. The only person to save him is Maria. As a former copy, and now a P.I., she is the only one he could trust. Trevor and Maria work together to clear him and discover who really kill the captain. Would things work out? Time was running short, the evidence is rocky and it's beginning to go against him to is raise the question, did Trevor really commit murder or not?
This was an enjoyable read. I loved having the book in the dual POV format. It helps me to understand why the character says and does things. Without that, for me, at least, I wouldn't be able to comprehend the and like the character.
When SEAL Trevor Daniels was suspected of killing his captain he went to his childhood friend, P.I. Maria Blanchard, to help him find the real killer and clear his name. She also happened to be the mother of his child. How that came about was quite unusual. Maria had wanted a baby so she asked Trevor, who she secretly loved, to get her pregnant. But once she got pregnant, wanted him to walk away and not have anything to do with the baby. Of course, he agreed. What man would turn down sex? And getting her pregnant with no strings attached. That was a no brainer. But showing up a year later asking her to return the "favour" was a little far fetched for me. Getting a woman pregnant is NOT doing her a favour to be repaid. Maria wanted to help him so she put her considerable P.I. skills to work to find the evidence he needed. The question was could she find the real killer before Trevor went to prison for a crime he didn't commit?
I didn't think much of Trevor at first but he grew on me when I saw how good he was with the baby and when he began to realize being a SEAL wasn't necessarily what he had to do forever. It was amusing that he could handle his job as a SEAL calmly even when he was fighting insurgents in Afganistan but hand him his baby daughter and he knew real fear.
I received this book from NetGalley and have given my honest opinion.
I enjoyed Saving The SEAL Baby Daddy by Katie Knight and Leslie North. This 2nd chance romance has the right blend of romance and danger. It had a Harlequin Intrigue kind of feel to it & I mean that in a good way. I like Harlequin Intrigue romances. Even better, I liked the relative maturity of this couple.
A year before, former police detective Maria Blanchard had asked friend (& hunky SEAL) Trevor Daniels to father a child for her and walk away. Now she is a single mother to an adorable baby girl Camille & running her private investigate agency. Trevor shows up late one night needing her help to clear his name. He's the prime suspect in the murder of his captain while stationed in Afghanistan. He only trusts Maria. Of course Trevor and Maria are forced to confront their feelings for each other and admit to the love that has always been there.
I enjoyed this story and the careful presentation of these characters.. I loved how Trevor's neat streak was woven into his character presentation. Maria had a few issues to resolve, too. Baby Camille is just too cute. Don't miss this lovely story!

ONE REMARKABLE ADVENTURE!!! Holy hell. Yep! You heard right. Man, talk about the wrong place at the wrong time. I could sit here and tell you all about every thing thats going down in this read. I could tell you how hard core it is as the scenes play out like a last second save touchdown. I could. But you wouldn't get how hard this book is to read and live it. And you have to see it to believe it. Katie and Leslie have a style of their own, but put them together and it's phenomenal. This awesome duo can have you in tears in one nanosecond and your back ramrod straight in the next. This read is no different. The scenes and characters are so realistic its like you can sense the foreboding in your gut cause your there to witness the violence. Trevor Daniels and Maria Blanchard have known each other for most of their lives so when Maria wants to have a baby, she asks Trevor to father her child, no strings attached. When Trevor's latest black ops mission goes wrong and he is suspected of being involved with his captain's death, he turns to Maria to help clear his name. As they look into the circumstances surrounding the mission, Trevor gets to know his daughter and spends time with Maria, he starts questioning his agreement to stay out of their lives. Maria finds that she is questioning her decision to keep Trevor and his family from knowing the baby. She tries to guard her heart because Trevor will be going back to active duty with the Seals as soon as his name is clear. Maria gets a lot of support from Trevor's mother and finds the nurturing that wasn't given in her own family. Through all of the action Trevor learns how good Maria is at her profession, and finds himself more and more attracted to her. There is lots of action, a little heat and a happily ever after. Great book!

Maria and Trevor grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools, and dated through highschool becoming each other's firsts--until he graduated and left for the Navy leaving Maria heartbroken. She learned to go on --to college, the Police Academy, a successful career becoming a detective which she left to set up her own PI business. Last year she met Trevor when he was home and talked him into fathering a child for her after he signed a contract not to contact her or the child after conception. But now he shows up on her door step saying he needs her professional help. Debriefing on his latest mission that went sour proves to him that he is suspected of murdering his captain and he does not know anyone else he can trust. This turns into a great story, with Trevor meeting and changing baby Camille's diapers. cleaning and organizing Maria's home to ease his stress between trying to dodge people following him, and helping Maria track down facts. Isn't long before Camille is Daddy's baby girl riding in a chestpack and Trevor and Maria are enjoing more than investigative work together. Lots of danger along with plenty of chuckles!

Katie Knight brings to life a romantic suspense that pulled me in and held me hostage the entire listen. Maria wanted to have a baby, and Trevor is the man she has chosen to father it. With a contract that he has no contact with her or the baby, life goes on until Trevor shows up at her door. He needs help and he can only trust her. Her job as a police officer and private investigator have given her the skills she needs to find the truth and clear his name. But at what cost? Letting him into her life can ruin her, but the attraction and feelings are strong. What will it do to his relationship with his daughter? And what happens if she can prove his innocence? Trevor with the baby is swoon worthy and Maria is an incredible heroine, strong independent and loving.Exciting suspense and heating passion makes this an enjoyable listen.
This is my first Ryan Francona narration and I love his voice. He is cast perfectly and has voices that are distinct and match the character. He is a storyteller I will be watching in the future.
Title: The SEAL's Baby Arrangement Author: Katie Knight, Leslie North Format: Audio Narrator: Ryan Francona Genre: Romance, suspense, second chance, single mom, baby contract, military (SEAL) Standalone: Yes Part of a Series: no POV: Maria, Trevor Steam Level: Steamy 3/5
I liked this story. I liked the premise, mystery and the second chance. What I hated (and I hate this every time it happens in books or movies) was that the characters did communicate or wouldn't let the other communicate their feelings due to being too scared to do so. I most likely would have rated this book higher if this hadn't been like a third of this book. I wanted to shake both characters and tell them to shut up and listen to the other person. This was so frustrating . For supposedly smart, independent characters their doubt and lack of confidence in the other person made them dumb. Beyond that, the mystery was great. I loved their search for the person setting up Trevor. That part was intriguing and held my interest.
Maria and Trevor were childhood friends she being the bashful wallflower and he the popular guy but she found herself in the police academy and grew to be the strong woman she is now. Maria decides she doesn't need a man in her life but she wants a child so she reaches out to Trevor and ask him to father her child with no strings attached and he agrees and once she get pregnant they also agreed to no contact. A year later when Trevor gets accused of killing his captain in the navy seals he knows she is the only one that can help him. Maria lets him stay on her couch and he gets to know his daughter all the while she is investigating to see what really happened. Great story line and loved the strong woman Maria is and how Trevor spend his time with his daughter and Maria was so sweet and maybe a family isn't so bad after all.

I have always loved Leslie North books and was introduced to Katie Knight's work through her and I have to say she is fast becoming a one click author for me Her books flow well and the story lines are always a great mix of romance and fun and this one was no exception Maria Blanchard was desperate to be a mum and she didn't want a man as well so she organised a contract with Trevor Daniels a seal that she grew up with He will never have contact with his daughter Camille When Trevor is accused of killing his captain while in Afghanistan he knows the only person who may be able to clear his name is Marie (she is a PI and ex cop) AS he spends more and more time with both Camille and Marie he has second thoughts about his deal with her he not only wants his daughter but also the woman he has always loved. Will he have a future with them will Marie find out the truth behind his captains murder and give them all a chance to be a family
This is the first audiobook I’ve listened to by these two authors. I enjoyed it because there wasn’t insta-love and there was more to the story than their romance.
Maria convinces Trevor to impregnate her by telling him there are no strings attached regarding parenting or child support. Trevor is a navy seal and Maria is a private investigator. He comes home and needs her investigative skills to help with a situation. The title - The Seal’s Baby Arrangement - contains the problem in the story; they made an arrangement and the best laid plans often don’t come off the way one expects. It is an exciting contemporary romance.
I enjoyed the way Trevor interacted with his child. I also enjoyed the relationship between both of these strong personalities. Trevor was a navy seal with integrity while Maria desired to be a working, independent single mother. Both being self-contained led to some interesting dialogue.
I received a free copy in return for agreeing to review this book.

After the murder of his captain and being framed for it, he knows she is the one to help him. Can he keep to the contract while working with Maria and spending time with his baby girl as they work to clear his name? Read to find out! This story has explosive chemistry, suspense, danger, angst, likable characters and a well developed story line. This is definitely a 5 star story for Katie Knight.

This was a pretty good story that I enjoyed from the beginning. I really liked both characters, particularly Maria as my favorite books are the ones with strong female leads that are written right. I read through it pretty quickly. The story was interesting and the overall book was enjoyable. I recommend. **I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
Trevor and Maria made an unusual arrangements. Maria wants to be a mother more than anything but she doesn't want the man to go along with it. Trevor knows with his career that being a parent would not be easy so he has no problem agreeing to her terms. In his mind, how hard could it be to walk away from a child and mother when you never know if you will return from the next mission. When Trevor finds himself of Maria's help to clear his name of a crime he is not guilty of, he finds out just how hard it will be to stay away. From the beginning of this book you can almost feel the chemistry between Trevor and Maria jump off the page. Really enjoyed this story. Trevor and Marie were childhood friends. When Marie decided she wanted a baby. She asked Trevor. At the time he sine a contract to walk away from the baby with no contact. Trevor tried to honor the contract but he's in trouble and the first person he thought of was Marie. Now she's helping him to clear his name and in the meantime their attraction has become stronger and Trevor s fatherly instinct and protective mode kicks in. This book is full of mystery, suspence and who done it. I enjoyed watching those two fall in love. Now Trevor has to make a choice as to what team he wants to be a part of.
