Lexy Parker, according to her families, writes steam romance stories. And there is always a HEA. She’s the creation of two hopeless romantic ladies who grew up loving any and every book they could read. They love their men handsome, strong, dead sexy and with super-soft hearts.
While married to real-life amazing husbands—who secretly rolled their eyes and loudly cheered them on—they collaborated together to become Lexy Parker.

Started off solid, but the characters were very flat to me. They each had a total of one personality trait. Also, the trope in which one character stubbornly refuses all help while still complain about their situation, and the other character bulldozes over them and helps anyway is one of my least favorite tropes. Almost DnF’d at the 60% mark, but the best friend helped because she was one of the few characters I liked 😅
Scarlet owns a pub and just so happens to be working the night that Parker catches his girlfriend with another man. Parker though he had everything he needed place to live and his girl yet he learns rather bluntly he is wrong about one of those things. All he has ever wanted was to have a family of his own and thought he was going to have that with Darla. Scarlet offers him a job when he doesn't create a huge scene in her pub. Sparks fly between them every time they are close. Its not long before Parker knows its Scarlet he wants. Will he be able to convince her to give him a chance?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
Parker is really two gals collaborating to come up with some darn good story telling! This is the second holiday novel I've read and they were both well written plots with developed characters that were easy reading. I especially liked Scarlet O'Hanley's do-it-herself attitude and the way she honored her grandfather's heritage by being true to her rearing in the way she ran the pub he left her. Parker was living and enjoying a blue collar life style, working construction even though he had an accounting degree and a CPA certificate. That means he was a smart dude that decided he liked manual labor working outside better than being shut inside an office, Read this book to see how he uses both brawn and brains to attract Scarlet and how he keeps his own counsel some of the time but eventually goes to work with his brother's accounting firm in a big corner office.
AN AMAZING ADVENTURE!!! Wow! Talk about bringing it. Lexy brought magic with this little guy that leaves you reeling and wanting more. She can spin it with a realism it's breathtaking. She pours it on when she created this amazing storyline with such an engaging plot. The personalities are well matched and brought together smoothly. The scenes are so graphically detailed it paints an incredible backdrop that feels so realistic it's like you're right there with them. Throw in some twists and turn and a few bumps and bruises as you watch the world light up. Amazing job Lexy, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Engaging dialogue Refreshing. Lovely story with great characters. Some tears were shed but there is an HEA. Just good blue collar hard work, charm, manners, and a warm heart to win the woman over...no alpha traits anywhere in sight...very refreshing. Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. I am leaving this review for your consideration. Peace.
Happy St Patty's day to me! I loved this! Scarlett owns the pub that has been in her family for years and puts it before all else in her life. Parker is just trying to live life on his terms and deal with an awful girlfriend. Both their lives change when Parker and his brother end up in her pub on evening. Let's just say that the sparks fly, in many ways! Their story is so well written and you can't help but sucked.
I'm giving this book a 3.5 in total. I through that the story was a bit just like some of the other books we've read recently. You have a man who finds someone cheating, thinks they can work things out, etc. etc. etc. Then you have a small mousy woman who has a huge chip on her shoulder to try and prove that she is not to be pushed around but comes across as a real piece of work to me. I thought there was a little bit of a disconnect between these two at times but the book as a whole was okay.
Parker is not like the typical guy in most romances. He isn't much of an alpha (for the most part) but he will do anything to show to show that he cares about Scarlet. Scarlet is a strong independent woman who owns a bar that her grandfather gave her. After having a problem with drunk patrons, she decides that they need a security guard. Parker is perfect for the job. He's big on the outside but is calm enough to end a fight.
Mixed feelings about this book. I always look for a holiday read, so this was my St. Pat’s read. Seemed like 2 wounded people meet & fall for each other, but never really get to know each other till the end. Too much attention paid to his appearance, we get it, he’s tall and imposing looking. Some aspects took to long to get there, while others went to fast. Blain & Terra were more interesting characters for me.
This was a good story. Parker is a sweet man who loves working outdoors. He meets Scarlet when he enters to have a drink at her bar. They hit It off right away, and it's obvious they are attracted to each other. This was an easy read and one that I enjoyed.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
Parker was a really good guy from the start-almost too good! Kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, but it never did! He was awesome! Everyone should have a boyfriend as great as Parker! Scarlet and him make the perfect couple, and this book was a very sweet read of their story!
[1 star] book was bland, characters doesn't stand out at all. the hero & his brother keep complaining about their childhoon but did not explain exactly what is wrong with their childhood till the end of the book *roll eyes* and there isn't any story on why the heroine's grandfather is the one who raise her
overall the book is super boring which you can pass. zzzZZZ
One lucky lady. She has two amazing men in her life. Only to lose one them. But he instilled what makes her so awesome. It helps her see that the man she hires to help out. Is the one her grandfather would know he is the perfect and right one. I loved their ending. Cheers!
Parker & Scarlet….don’t believe the bad reviews on this one. It’s such a sweet story! Everyone will want their own Parker! Such a sweetheart! They both have crazy backstories & it was fun watching the relationship. Parker’s brother Blain surprised me too near the end and Scarlet’s friend Terra was a keeper. I enjoyed the story & yes there are some pretty steamy scenes!
Scarlet and Parker`s story is heartfelt, sweet and so entertaining to read. Their road to happiness is fun to watch and so breathtaking. I loved this book and couldn't put it down. I voluntarily reviewed an arc.
Found this book by chance. Lucky me. I loves it. Parker is a sweetheart. A loveable bear. I enjoyed his back story, his ability to give love with his heart despite his background. He was the star.
This was a good book. Parker and Scarlet have definite chemistry and the sex was HOT but I found Parker to be lacking in some instances. I can’t decide if it’s immaturaty or naïveté. I’m leaning towards the later. I would recommend this book.
If you’re looking for a good book to read this author I came across is amazing. This was such a good book, a great storyline, and a happily ever after. You will absolutely enjoy Scarlet and Parker’s journey!!!
This book is a nice little love story. Some ups some downs with the hero and heroine, enough to keep you vested in the story and not get bored. Pretty good seggy scenes too!
Really liked the storyline. The characters were so good together. It just was more sex and less storyline for me. I like spicy but I like more story than sex. It just becomes boring for me. But, as I said, the storyline was very good and the characters were great together.
What a great story this is. Irish bar keep meets huge nice guy. They meet just before St Patrick's day and the fireworks begin. I would love to visit this bar.
Easy to read, moments to laugh Outlook onda my own, to Wonder and enjoy. The main and supporting characteres grew on me, look forward to the other stand alone books that go with this one
I liked book two much better than book 1. It took me forever to read it because I was just sure I wasn't going to like it. Parker and Scarlet were much more likable characters and there weren't any kids involved making it weird.
I really enjoyed this one. I couldn't put it down. This was a new author for me & hope to read more. Am voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via booksprout.
