Being Mr. Match has been fun. And while it’s nice that thousands of couples have found love thanks to me, that was never really the point. The one guy I most wanted to match?
Doesn’t have one.
Now the vultures are circling, and it won’t be long before all of San Diego finds out exactly who I am. And then the questions will begin. Why hasn’t Mr. Match found his match?
If I answer that one, it’ll discredit everything Mr. Match is, and call into question all the matches I’ve made so far. It’s time to step away.
But when the venture capital analyst arrives to help divest me of the business, I’m starting to wonder if love really is as easy as a mathematical formula. Because Tatum Archer does something to me that defies logic and confounds reason. I feel feelings for her, even though the algorithm says I shouldn’t.
Have I been wrong all along?
TATUM:
My life was set. Divorce, check. Kickass job, check. Enormous dog… well, okay, that wasn’t part of the plan, but Charlie is my sidekick now and I’m okay with that.
A weeklong trip to San Diego to help set up the sale of a matchmaking business sounds like just the kind of challenge I thrive on. I just didn’t expect Mr. Match himself to be quite so…
Arrogant.
Frustrating.
or HOT.
When my manager suggests I take over the company and stay in San Diego temporarily, it makes perfect sense from a business perspective. But getting involved with a client would be the end of everything I’d spent years building.
We have to keep things professional. Max assures me we’re not a match anyway.
I'm USA Today Bestselling author Delancey Stewart. My contemporary romances run the gamut of settings and setups, but they always deliver humor, heart and heat. It's a guarantee.
I write from my home in Denver, CO, where I manage a household full of boys and men. Okay, only one man. The hubs. But two boys. I mean, three if you count the hubs. (You see why I do words and not numbers. I was told there'd be no math in this bio. Someone lied.)
I grew up in California and have had more jobs than anyone on earth (personal trainer, pharmaceutical rep, copywriter, tech writer, marketing director, wine seller, elementary school teacher... I'm not kidding. The list. It goes on.) But the one I love the most is writing, in part because I get to meet people who love books and stories as much as I do! Please don't hesitate to get in touch to say hello, and don't forget to join my newsletter!
This was easy to read, safe, and funny, with a decent, non-manho H. I didn’t really like how long the MCs’ frustrating stubbornness and fear lasted, but I guess the end made it alright.
This book was such a delightful read. We got to know several characters in depth, including an amazing, large dog. There were plenty of steamy, sexy-times. The "black moment" was quick, and grey at most. ;) And the ending. <3 It was perfect! This can easily be read as a stand-alone, but is the perfect (possible) finale to the series!
If you like big dogs, heart-warming moments, dancing elves and gnomes, amazing chapter titles, surprising eyebrows, coffee, soccer, and BIG CHEMISTRY, then this book is for you!!
*Possible Spoilers Below*
Delancey Stewart does such a lovely job of letting us get to know the characters in her book as individuals. I really enjoyed finally getting to see more of Max (he's interjected in the first 3 books and novella in this series), and what he was *really* thinking. Meeting Tatum, and seeing how much she and Max have in common throughout the book, but without *them* knowing it, was just fantastic. They are two "by-the-numbers" people who were struck by Cupid's arrow and are trying to resist it. Listening to their internal dialogue was my favorite part. Especially when Tate's included dancing elves and gnomes. Because who doesn't love that??
I really liked getting to watch the dynamic of Tatum and her mom's relationship change and evolve, after recent tragedy. And watching Max and Tate bond over the same. And even the dog's relationship with everyone evolved!!!
These two have BUCKETS of chemistry, and it is AMAZING. Their Happily Ever After in the last chapter is PERFECTION. I really hope Delancey decides to write another book (or five) in this series, so we can see a little bit more into their world.
One of the best Romcoms out this year. Scoring the Boss - Mr. Match Book 4; By author Delancey Stewart is one of the best, funniest book I’ve read this year...and that’s no hyperbole. While this may be the last for Max at the Mr Match helm, the author had him go out with style, class, and a woman, Tatum, that was smart, accomplished and owned one of the best dogs around (except for Golden Retrievers). These two characters were successfully written to challenge each other intellectually and, I would say by the way they left his home one night after steamy intimacy, they challenge and enjoy each other sexually. The storyline was well developed as Mr Matched struggled with looking at who he has helped (his friends) find true love yet he has not. His profile has never been matched. A secondary storyline is for Tatum to come to terms with her mother finally moving on with her life post the death of her husband. By moving to San Diego they both come to realize it’s the right move to start anew. The author asked the question if Ms. Match should continue under T. I say yes. Let’s see what her energy brings to matching couples. Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment, pleasure, and funny bone. Finally Mr Match !!! 4th book of the series, and finally, the story of the one without whom the famous application of Mr Match would not exist: Max The romance is good and different from the previous books because it is built as the opposite of others: the app does not link the profile of the characters, but it is the company creates around the app that does it. Max, the owner of Mr Match decides to take a step back with his application to remain anonymous about his creation, and he decides to keep only his football career fir the public and the media. To find a solution, he uses a company that sends Tatum, divorced. Although their attraction is obvious, neither can be tempted because they are in a relationship boss / employee and it would be wrong. Not to mention that Max had created the app on the premise that love was mathematical and not just emotional. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Max Winchell is a soccer player with the Sharks. He’s also Mr. Match, a service that has successfully matched thousands of couples in San Diego based on his mathematical formula he created in college after having his heart stomped on. His identity is secret and the only match he hasn’t been able to make? His own.
Tatum “Tate” Archer is a venture capitalist analyst. She’s divorced and her father passed a year ago. She’s inherited his dog. She’s smart and is living in Northern California.
Tate makes Max have all the feels. But their lives are interwoven with his business as Tate steps in to help Max transition.
Will Tate be Max’s true match? Cuz he’s pretty damn awesome and deserves a woman who’s smart, funny and caring. Absolutely loved Max. Recommend.

I enjoyed this emotional story. The characters were well written and had sizzling chemistry. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Max has created a company that matches people based on mathematics rather than emotions and has had quite the success in doing so. He is worried that people will find out that he is not only the person behind the company but he hasn’t been able to find his match, so he decides it is time to sell.
Tatum has been sent by her company to facilitate the sale. She is recently divorced and not looking for another relationship despite how attracted she is to Max. Tatum doesn’t want to risk her job and career for any man and Max doesn’t believe she could be his match but has the matchmaker finally met his match?
I have enjoyed this series and this book is no exception.
Max is finally getting his story!!! And it’s my favorite in the series (even though I really loved Scoring the Keeper’s Sister). Maggie is such a relatable character. She’s going through some personal and professional turmoil, while trying to accomplish the job. And Max is trying to figure out what he wants. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, right? Wrong. It’s the recipe for an amazing romance book. And this is it. This book is a stand-alone, but you get more enjoyment from the book if you read the earlier books. This book is the perfect read for a lazy day with a nice drink and snack.
Didn’t have to wait for this book to be released because I won an ARC in a contest for an honest review.
Wonderfully fantastic... The book was amazing... It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it... The characters and their personalities match them perfectly... The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing...

This is the fourth book in the series and I have to admit while I have enjoyed them all Max and Maggie's book might just be my favorite while they can all be read as standalone's I think they are better if read in order. This was such a good book it was really well written and I was quickly pulled into the story. These two are super characters and I enjoyed getting to know them.
This was a good read. Max has a lot going on and he decides to sell his company. Tatum is in town for work. They hit it off but due to the work they feel it is best to avoid. However, in the end they end up together and they get their happy ending.

In the fourth and final? installment of the Matchmaker series, we get Max's story. For a man you doesn't believe in anything that can't be proven mathematically, he has a hard time accepting what is going on with Tatum. Tatum is a woman like no other woman he has ever met. She is also the one person he should stay away from. When Max starts feeling the heat, meaning he fears that his identity as Mr. Match is about to be revealed, he calls in a company to discuss investing or sellling. Tatum is who they send. They both feel the pull and the attraction, but also know that they can't go there. She doesn't want to risk her reputation or her job promotion and he doesn't believe that he is matchable or want to be with someone who will move away in a few months. The only problem, they can't stay away from each other. The push and pull they went through, trying to navigate their relationship was so realistic. They wanted eachother, fought their desire, succumed to their desire, and thought they could work it out. Unfortunately, just when they both decided to give it a go, the real world kicked in and Tatum ran back home, breaking both of their hearts. After some harsh truths by her mom, his sister and some friends, they both realize they have a decision to make. The addition of Tallulah, the woman who took over Mr. Match, leaves it open to more stories in this series and I am honestly torn. While I want more stories based off Mr. Match, I am worried that we won't see any of the characters I have grown to love. Also, not knowing if Max and Tatum were a mathematical match or not, was kind of a disappointment. I am also a little worried that the tone of any future books, with a woman running Mr. Match, will be completely different. A wonderful series and a great way to potentially end it. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Book 4 in the Mr. Match series, I’d read and enjoyed book 1 (and somehow missed books 2 & 3 coming out) so I picked this up based on that alone without even bothering to read the blurb. This book works well as a standalone, imo, as the author does a good job of giving you the information you need, and I never felt I was missing out in anything by not having read a couple of the previous books—though I will be going back to read them as soon as I get a chance *grins*.
I was very happy to find this book featured Max, Mr Match himself, who had me thoroughly intrigued in the first book while Tate soon had me on her side as well. A bit of a slow burn story, this had the light-hearted and humorous approach I loved in book 1, and once the two of them got together, they brought the house down (literally, in some cases lol). I liked that the two had plenty in common to help build a relationship on in addition to the chemistry that had them starting a relationship in spite of themselves. Between old wounds and professional conflicts, there were a lot of obstacles to this romance, and the tension of trying to figure out how all of those problems were going to get solved kept the pages turning.
Plenty of interesting secondary characters helped round out the book, from Tate’s mom (and I count her dog, Charlie, as well) to Max’s sister Cat and of course Max’s teammates. I thought the author did an especially good job handling Tate’s relationship with her mom, not only how it was changed by their mutual grief, but also Tate’s mixed feelings at seeing her mother moving on.
Fun, funny and steamy, with some touching moments as well to help balance things out, this was a read I just didn’t want to put down. 5 stars
I've loved the entire Mr Match series, and this one was the perfect wrap up. Max, Mr Match himself, has brought together thousands of happy couples, including his sister and some of his closest friends. He hasn't been able to match himself, however. and resigns himself to being an emo unicorn with guyliner (you'll understand when you read it). Tatum is the venture capital analyst sent by her company to assist Max with the potential sale of the company when he wants to keep his secret intact. Who would trust a matchmaking company whose founder can't match himself?
The two are drawn to each other from the beginning, but Tatum is worried about her professional reputation. She loves her job and is being groomed for a promotion and does not want to jeopardize that. Max doesn't trust feelings and emotions over the math.
I loved reading this book. And as always, big dogs make everything better and this one has a giant lovable teddy bear of a dog to love! Max is so analytical and I loved seeing him struggle with trusting his heart. Tatum struggled with following her heart, and let her head and career get in the way of too many things. Cat, Max's sister, played a big role in this book and she was so much fun. I love their relationship.
There was only one thing missing from the end of this book: Did Tatum apologize to Rose and make up?? I was looking forward to that conversation and a little disappointed it wasn't there. But that wasn't part of the main story so I can overlook it.
Even if you haven't read the rest of this series (and they're free with Kindle Unlimited so what's stopping you??) this book will be enjoyable. All four books are standalones.
One of my favorite rom com books thus far in 2019. This author has a gift for writing conversational dialogue that flows organically, makes you feel like your sitting in front of the people (like a fly on the wall) while they're having these discussions. I love this feeling. I loved the character development and backstories to fill you in on who they are. Some may say it could have gone into more details about the "exes" of both the H and the h, but it was enough for me and I don't think it would have really changed my impressions of the story, it just would have made it longer. I would struggle to find a reason not ot give this one 5 stars. It was an interesting read I did not want to put down (curses that I had to, in order to go to work.), I wanted it to be longer, just for the fact that I didn't want to say goodbye to Max and Tate.
***Slight Spoiler alert on upcoming comments: ***
I'm a little sad it's over, but I do hope the author continues the story with Tallulah, and we get to see where her story goes. Or, the book could be like the dread pirate roberts with a new person taking on the role of Mr Match in subsequent books as each lead finds their "one". Hey, it's a thought! Thanks Delancey Stewart for writing this book and the ones that preceeded it in the series. I have loved them all.
I started this series with Scoring the Keeper's Sister and some of my favorite parts of the book was Max's perspective so I was really looking forward to this story. Throughout the series Max kept hinting that he loved love but that he was the one that would be duped in the end because he could not find it for himself.
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we believe is fact and do not see what is currently in front of us. I really received that message hard while reading this book. The character are excellent and I really enjoyed Max's witty but sweet side as well as Tate's driven but sweet side.
They meet when Max thinks maybe it is time to step down from his position over Mr. Match and brings in a venture capitalist company that Tate works for. These two are the perfect match because they are so freaking smart, funny, and genuine. They both have huge hangups from the past though and are they going to be able to figure out what is right in front of them?
That is why you should read this dear reader and see how this all plays out. This book was funny, sweet, and super spicy, basically anything that you could possibly want in a romance book and I definitely recommend you read it!
PS: I received this book for free but am voluntarily reviewing it.
Max has considered himself unmatchable since before he created the algorithm for Mr. Match. That is until the day he meets Tatum at his office in San Diego. She is stunning, smart, sexy, everything he is looking for in a woman, but there is no way they are a match. Tatum is a very career driven woman, that is most likely the reason her first marriage didn't last. Since losing her dad, Tatum has poured herself even more deeply into her Venture Capitalist job. Her mom would love nothing more than to see her happy & with a family, it's really tough to constantly disappoint your mother! When Tatum meets Max, sparks fly & they have all the right chemistry from the heart, but the whole point of Mr Match is the mathmatical algorithm, which they surely don't share. I so enjoyed Max & Tate's story. It was sweet, sexy, slightly angsty & incredibly steamy. Things heat up from the moment they meet & really, it's only Tate's fear for her job that is keeping them apart, that & math. Will they be able to work their way past this, or are they destiny to be unmatchable? The cast of incredible side charactures in this series is "unmatched" they are truly awesome & so much fun to revisit~ Enjoy!
•Mathematical genius •Professional soccer player •Secret Creator of Mr.Match the company San Diego find love using a secret math formula. •Still Single
As the news stations speculate on who’s the real Mr. Match and he’s close to being discovered Max is in a tough spot. He hasn’t found his own perfect match yet and he’s in danger of being discovered.
Max is a man that trusts his mathematical algorithm for love but is starting to think he’s not matchable. He’s been burned in the past by trusting emotions instead of logic and doesn’t want to relive that experience.
Tatum is a career driven woman that doesn’t have time for a relationship. Her father passed away a year ago and she’s still helping her mother deal with the grieving process. She’s adopted Charlie, her dad’s untrained New Foundland dog, who brings comical moments to the story.
Despite numerous obstacles in the way these two find love together. Both learning to let go and trust their emotions and not to always be logical. Sometimes the great things can’t be explained by logic or math.
This book was a great read and I hope that the author Delancey Stewart continues with the new direction hinted at in the end.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Max still has not found his own perfect match and his secret identity is close to being revealed. So he takes the decision to sell the company. Enter Tatum to help with the process. There is immediate sexual tension between these two but she is very career orientated and her job comes first, especially as her profession is dominated by males and she feels she has a lot to prove.
Whilst Max is determined to find out if they are a match according to his algorithm, he needs to rely on his own emotions to guide his way and this is what makes this book so interesting. The inner turmoil that Tatum goes through in trying to keep things professional to prove herself in a man's world whilst wanting Max so badly adds another dimension to this story.
This book continually brought a smile to my face as I was reading this and I was really excited to read Max's story. It was such a quirky, heart warming read.
After searching for years for his own match, Max Winchell has not found "The One". He's managed to hook up so many couples in the San Diego area - including most of his close friends and teammates - but that same happiness has eluded him. And because he's a man of logic, he believes the next practical step is to step away from Mr. Match completely. After all, how could he be selling a product that hasn't worked for him?
Tatum Archer is a venture capital analyst at the top of her game, with no intention of letting anything keep her from realising her career dreams and goals. A chance to broker the sale of Mr. Match has her excited, but when she sees Max for the first time, her excitement is for an entirely different reason.
For numerous reasons, Max & Tatum know their union is illogical, yet the pull between them is too magnetic, too intense to be ignored. The two logic-centered individuals get a reality check when they realise that true love doesn't follow neat, orderly steps.
A rather satisfying end to an enjoyable series, I recommend this story.

Another fantastic episode from the Mr. Match Series. Here we have Max thinking about selling Mr. Match as he can see that he's close to being found out who Mr. Match actually is. That is until we have Tatum 'Tate' who comes to help him find a buyer or her suggestion, a CEO & who's the best person to stand in than Tate herself. But as we know Max doesn't trust his own feelings, only mathematical equation. Though when it comes to Tate he can't seem to stop wanting her especially after being with her this one time.. Come in & see if Max will let his feelings to let him find if someone, especially him can fall for that one you feel you're suited & connected together workout using his app... And if he can get away with hiding that he's Mr. Match... Loved it

This is a great fourth book in the series, and it doesn’t get old! Delancey keeps it fresh and funny as we get sucked into yet another love story.
Max Winchell is all about love by the numbers – he is Mr. Match after all. And after having his heartbroken, he depends on the numbers, not ever wanting to trust his instincts. Then Tate Archer walks into his office.
Tate Archer has worked hard to get where she is at her company, and it’s really all she can count on. She’s divorced and recently lost her father, so work is her thing. She’s not sacrificing it for anything. Not even Max Winchell. Maybe.
These two have excellent chemistry that pops off the page! Plus, there’s a huge dog, a mom and a nosy sister – resulting in huge laughs even as we clutch our hearts and sigh.

Another great one in the series - super entertaining and funny
I very much enjoyed Max's and Tate's story. It was full of conflicted emotions, funny moments and very entertaining. Hero and heroine trying to fight mutual attraction and strong chemistry for the sake of their careers. But does the perfect match has to be really calculated and based on the unmistakeable algorithm? What would happen if someone is just lying in the questionnaire or putting random answers? If you want to find out if Mr. Match will find his perfect match you just need to read this one and find out for yourself. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Story is fast paced, characters are greatly developed and it is full of sexual tension that is almost palpable. There's nothing more that I would need for the read to be enjoyable.
Another amazing addition and final book in the ‘Mr Match’ series. This book is an enjoyable and exciting read. It is fast-moving, engaging, funny, and emotional deep; guaranteed to pull you in from the first page. The characters are likeable, strong, deep, and sweet; the chemistry between them is off the charts. Having read all four books I must say that I love this series and Delancey Stewart’s writing style. This series has met and exceeded all of my expectations making it one of my favourite series. Each story is connected through the main series plot however they can still be enjoyed as a standalone. I am a little sad to see this series end, but it is definitely worth reading and comes highly recommended.

I have been waiting to see what kind of story Max would have and I think this was perfect! He is so logical and so into algorithms that this was the best was for him to find his person.
This series has been fun to read. Each book has had Max in it, but not as the lead, so it was nice to get into his background and personality more in this book. He has his theory on how love should go and doesn’t like to go out of his comfort zone. He doesn’t believe in random meetings and has a successful business that has found many people their match, so he knows what he is doing. Mr. Match is a side business that has been going well, but the media is trying to zero in on who Mr. Match is and that makes Max a little nervous. Will he say good bye to his business, will he find true love, if so how. Enjoy learning about Max!
Max, the man behind the popular website Mr. Match believes that he is unmatchable. When the news media gets too close in figuring out who Mr. Match really is, he decides to walk away. Tate is sent down to give Max options on what to do with his company. There is immediate attraction but they try to fight it. Max believes she isn't right for him on paper and Tate is afraid of ruining her business reputation. Even though they keep finding excuses to not be together, they can't seem to keep their hands off of each other. Parts of this book made me laugh and other parts brought tears to my eyes. I loved the solution that they came up with regarding Mr. Match. I have to admit, it wasn't one I was expecting. I really liked the way this book ended and wouldn't mind seeing more in the series.
It is good to see this series come back to its roots with Max's story. I really enjoyed getting to know him throughout the series and I loved reading as he found his own match. Tate is a strong woman and I think she is exactly what Max needed. Their chemistry is off the charts and you can feel the heat coming off the pages. I really enjoyed that Tatum's mom has a part in the story as she goes through her own healing and growth process and I think the mother-daughter dynamic is an important part of Tate figuring out what she really wants. The dog, Charlie, is a hoot. A good end to what I believe is probably the first phase of the Mr. Match series. The author has several side characters that could develop stories of their own, should she decide to continue.
