I purchased these individually but if you haven't read this series this is a great way to catch up!

Her Steadfast Hero - Black Dawn Book 1
David arrives on the Island of Los Flores intending to interrogate two soldiers who he believes have be set up. Unfortunately an earthquake quickly changes everything.

With the death of the Chief of Police, the Lieutenant Governor immediately takes advantage putting him in charge of the corrupt police department. He needs someone responsible to take control in order to expedite the clean-up and manhunt for some very vicious criminals.

I love my heroines strong and determined. Sarah certainly fills that description. Having left the Army and joined Doctors Without Borders, she can and does handle anything thrown at her.

As things get going with search and rescue and the manhunts tension rise. Especially with the doctor Sarah has already called out once for being drunk. She is escorting him back to quarters when the others in her group are taken hostage by some of the escaped convicts.

The Navy SEAL team Black Dawn is called in to liberate the hostages, and then gets permission to hang around and help with the round-up of criminals.

Fast paced and emotional, as this island works itself back to functional with the back story of Sarah and David coming to the forefront as their passion re-ignites.

Her Devoted Hero - Black Dawn Book 2
One of the things I love about Caitlyn's Series is how they intertwine. In this one Clint from Midnight Delta Team has played quite the prank on Dex of Black Dawn.

Signed up for a dating site with emails sent to a couple hundred women, Dex is ready to strangle Clint as he responds explaining how it's all a misunderstanding due to a hack. That is until the last one, SNMP intrigued him and made him laugh, he had to respond to her.

Kenna only signed up on the site to satisfy friends that she's getting out there. She wasn't quite sure why she responded to SailorBoy69, there was just something about him.

These two are a hoot, after a couple of emails she decides to stop the foolishness and deletes her profile. However, not before Dex has collected what information he can.

Her employer Rosalie has other ideas since her grandson owns the site. She decides to throw these two together in a project for her. Then the fun really begins.

Of course you realize things can't go smoothly, and things start happening quickly from here.

Dex and Kenna have much to learn about each other, it's a slow but steady build up to some really intense heat.

A murder, threats and so much more as this relationship develops. We see a lot more of Clint and his team as well as things get more intense. Enough hold your breath suspense that I couldn't put this book down.

Her Passionate Hero - Black Dawn Book 3
Aliana is in trouble, not of her making. In her years since Hunter left she has devoted herself to helping the kids targeted by gangs. In her role as Vice Principal she doesn't tolerate the shenanigans of the members of gangs and expels them without second thought and encourages those who have the potential to escape the neighborhood and the gangs. One young man, Nicholas, has such promise and he is embracing the opportunities he sees for himself. It's Nicholas that is the root of attacks on her, she thinks she can handle it all, but her grandmother has other ideas.

Hunter has just returned from a mission, when his grandmother calls him and orders him home. It was so out of character for her, it leaves Hunter stunned even as he demands to know the reason. For Aliana he would do anything and that she was in danger motivated him more than anything to head home.

We learn of Hunter's past and as other SEALs he's asked show up to help protect her and her family he also realizes how much danger she's in.

Aliana is stubborn as is her grandmother and Hunter's grandmother too. The grandmother's book club provides not only information but also lots of giggles in an otherwise tense situation.

A page turning read with plenty of action, some tears, some giggles and a romance that was meant to be.

Her Devoted Hero

Back with the Black Dawn boys! Dex is sweet, sexy, charming and downright funny with a side order of gallant! Kenna is sarcastic, sweet, snarky, self depreciating and wonderful mother and friend. I loved how they got together and the emails...I pretty much sputtered cola over my kindle a few times, they were hysterical.

Kenna has fears, phobias and a self esteem problem I can relate to. But when the danger rolls in she wants to be part of the solution, usually failing to heed warnings from Dex and the rest of the team. She'll face her problems head on and cry about it later, especially when her family is targeted.

Dex will have to pull out the big guns to persuade the ever so skittish Kenna that he is in for the long haul...he's not above making sure her son and mother are on his side though! Whilst Dex was determined he was in no way a stalker and you can clearly see the differences between him and a certain other interested party!

I loved trying to unravel who was the bad guy (failed again!) and checking in with all my favourite SEALS and their ladyloves was awesome.

Her Passionate Hero

If you read this without shedding tear, uttering a mouthful of profanity or laughing like a loon occasionally then you must be dead! A fiery mix of unrecognised love, inner strength, resilience Aliana always felt she was not good enough, an outsider. The only person who made her whole was Hunter. But she decided that she wasn't good enough for him and slipped out of his life.

Now older but no less self effacing and with a self esteem in the minus, she at least now has coping mechanisms and she ours her heart into the kids in her school. but Aliana has put a great big target on her back and she may just have taken on the local gang leader!

Hunter hates that he lost Aliana when he went into the Navy but hen he gets word from his grandma that she is in trouble, he has no intention of letting her say No to him this time. He may be a big badass SEAL but he had a tender heart and has seen more of the depravity of mankind that is good for him. He escaped the gang life once and has no intention of letting it suck in more of his life. Aliana is older, but still his Aliana.

He may not know all that has befallen her since they were parted but Hunter knows Aliana has some serious ghosts. But then he has some of his own.

OMG this book is full of the feels! There are some triggers in this book that may be uncomfortable for some: bullying, attempted sexual assault, gang-related violence but all are handled with care and great love. The characters are full of life and challenges and of course that little nugget of "something" that makes you love them! Aliana is strength personified even when she cannot see it herself. Hunter may be all Alpha male but he has wonderful way of dealing with Aliana.

The background characters are all fabulously quirky. Mamie and Mrs J are forces of nature. We all get to check in with the "Dawners" and meet Zed - there is a man full of mystery! It would not be a Caitlyn O'Leary book if there was not a seam of humour throughout. Whilst the story has dark elements, the characters have a way of taking the darkness and turning light upon. Won't say much accept to say "Bookclub"! OMG I snorted so much with that bunch of little old ladies!

Her Steadfast HERO
David and Sarah dated in the past. They knew their time together would be short but the time they did spent together they formed a bond that they couldn't shake. Years later a natural disaster brings these two back together again.

I loved reading about these two. They are two of the most grown up people I have read about in a while. These two are in the middle of a disaster and even though they know they need to talk, and their chemistry is still there, they both have a job to do. I did like reading about the parts that even though they were tired and when they did get a break, sexy time was ON!

Her Devoted HERO
I loved this book. I love the concept of them meeting on a dating site where flirty banter and jokes can be made. I love that this is where Kenna felt the most at ease saying things she wouldn't have normally said to someone. The email exchanges were really fun to read.

I love Kenna's wit the most. She is a real woman who has insecurities but doesn't let them come at the expense of her son. I like her upfront attitude and her determination to be there for everyone else. She is really good at handling what needs to be done and then breaking down later.

I loved everything about Dex. I loved reading his responses to her emails where she was trying to push him away. I like that he could read between the lines and still pursued her even though she said they needed to call this off. I also would like to mention that I enjoyed Mrs. O'Leary's writing of this, it could have come off at quite stalkerish but it was written the he was more determined than creepy.

The action was intense, the conversations were hilarious, and the sexy times were hot. This book had it all!!

Her Passionate HERO
Hunter and Aliana have been friends since they were in grade school. She was always bullied and Hunter was her protector. This friendship always had an underlying thread of love in it but they never acted on it.

Years later, Aliana is in trouble and someone wants her dead. The grandparents get involved and ask Hunter to return home and protect her. He doesn't think twice, Aliana turned him away once and he was determined to find out why.

I really liked these characters. Unlike most books that I have read their love wasn't explosive. It wasn't the "first time they see each other" type thing, there was history and familiarity, love and devotion already there when the book started. In my opinion these two were already in love emotionally. They just hadn't acted on the physical yet.

I loved that Aliana was so strong in a profession that was difficult. I would image it could break most anyone. Yet here she was standing strong and trying to do right by her students. She is a remarkable woman!!

I also do want to add that one of the funniest scenes I have read in a while was when Hunter went to the ladies book club!!! I don't know why but it tickled my funny bone visualizing this huge SEAL sitting around talking to a bunch of old ladies. He was a perfect gentleman, but it was funny!!

A Boxset full of Entertainment!!

******* Her Steadfast Hero – 5 stars
Impossibly poignant second chance story!!!
Assignment in Las Flores; David is an Army investigator who becomes acting chief of Police after an earthquake disrupts the city and frees dangerous convicts. Sarah is a nurse with Doctors Without Borders. If he put her in the past why does he know it has been four years, five months and sixteen days?

You are immediately immersed in the chaos of the earthquake and into the lives of those involved. As if we are there struggling to make the best decisions and save lives. A captivating story of danger, generosity and second chances.

******* Her Devoted Hero – 5 stars
Heartwarming and Humorous SEAL romance!!!
This is a spectacular story.
Ms. O’Leary writes a story that pulls your heart-strings, and she has outdone herself this time!! As the result of a practical joke Navy SEAL Dex (SailorBoy69) finds himself explaining to hundreds of women that his account on CaliSingles has been hacked and he did not request a date. Except when he reads the email from “So Not Mary Poppins” he finds he really does want to meet her.

Her email basically says “don’t email me back”, so he has his work cut out for him to lure her into a conversation and possible much, much more.
“He said she suited him down to his bones. It made her want to melt. With trembling fingers, she touched the rim of her wineglass and kept reading. “His grandmother?” she whispered. “His grandmother could write a letter of recommendation?”

A definite must-read. Once you start you will be hooked until the final word!!

******* Her Passionate Hero – 5 stars
Very Appropriate Title – Amazing Read!!!
Stunning heroine Alaina is bullied as a youngster but grows to be a Vice Principal in a tough area where gangs are prevalent. When her attempts to assist a student escape the gang trap, she runs afoul of the gangs who then threaten her and her family.

Navy SEAL Hunter Diaz was Alaina’s champion when they were in school. Two years ahead of her he ran interference whenever they attended the same school. When the danger escalates Hunter’s “grandma” calls him in to help.

Amidst the tension and danger we are treated to bits of humor…. Friend Lottie is attracted to the policeman on the case but when Hunter also appears in Alaina’s hospital room: ‘The two women in the hospital room turned to stare at them, “Do you just collect hot men?” the cute woman asked as she turned to Alaina.’

Ms. O’Leary knows just how to draw you into her story and make you a part of it. You feel as if you share the emotions and troubles of her characters. A gripping battle of gang versus SEAL, good versus evil, and the possible healing of emotional scars as an abandoned relationship is resurrected. I highly recommend this story – and this series!!

This is a fantastic collection. I give each book a 5 star rating...I guess that means this is a 15 star read.

I read this book 2 years ago and just read it again. Folks, it's just as good the second time around. Caitlyn O'Leary has provided readers with a book that is well-written and packed with fabulous characters. David arrives in Las Flores to try and retrieve his soldiers from whatever snafu they've landed in. He no sooner sits with the Chief of Police to go over matters when an earthquake causes the death of the Chief and chaos ensues. When relief workers arrived he was shocked to see Sarah, the woman he had to leave over four years ago. Sarah and David's story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Caitlyn O'Leary in the future. Her Steadfast Hero is book 1 of the Black Dawn Series and book 2.5 of the Midnight Delta Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Her Devoted is a fabulous military romance. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. O'Leary has delivered a well-written book and furnished it with outstanding characters. I totally love this cast of characters! Dex is a Navy SEAL and is signed up for a dating site by one of his friends. Kenna is a single mother uses the dating site just to give herself a little ego boost, but couldn't help dashing off a note to Dax. Dax and Kenna's story is loaded with drama, humor, action, sizzle and spine-tingling suspense. This story hooked me at page one and held me captive until the end. Her Devoted HERO is book 2 of the Black Dawn Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Her Passionate Hero is a magnificent romantic suspense by Caitlyn O'Leary. Ms. O'Leary has impressed me again with her fabulous story, outstanding characters and well-written book. Aliana, vice principal in a public school, is more frightened for her mother than herself when the three gang members attacked her. She still intends to encourage Nicolas to go to college, even if the gang wanted him with them. When Hunter, a Navy SEAL, gets a call from his grandmother saying his best friend from childhood is under attack he is on his way. Hunter and Aliana's story is full of drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I loved this story and look forward to my next book by Caitlyn O'Leary. Her Passionate Hero is book 3 of the Black Dawn Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Gotta love those special ops military men!

I love books featuring Navy SEALs, almost as much as I love Army Special Ops.(But then I am biased as I married an Army Special Ops!) Caitlyn O'Leary has a way of portraying perfectly the special ops mentality, of honor, loyality and justice, as well as the special protectiveness almost smothering feelings of love they display to their significant others. You can feel how Caitlyn's male characters cherish the women they love. Even without steamy sex scenes, and there are plenty of those, the romance just oozes off the pages! What makes these novels in the box set so special I believe is that there is more to these stories then just sex. In fact, there is more than just romance. These stories have an exciting edge of your seat, suspense filled plot. Reading this set kept me up to 0200- 0300 hours ( military speak for the crack of dawn), dying to know what happened next, and even dreaming about what could be happening while I slept. As a reader who reads daily to escape the monotonous reality of quarantine, separated from family thousands of miles away that I only see on a video screen, I am surprised that what I appreciate so much about Caitlyn's word craft, is how real the men and women are in her books. These are not superheroes of the Marvel Universe or even the beautiful people , rich, entitled, you encounter in other romances. Every character in these books as experience with both good and bad that life dishes out. They have to work through and overcome issues that may have foundations in early childhood. Yet, Caitlyn writes of the resilience of mankind and gives me hope that we can all be strong enough to come out the other side of our troubles stronger, better people for having not given up on each other. Her happily ever afters are based on a much more real future then a lot of fiction I read. Yet that makes them special as even a pessimist such as myself can hope in a better future after finishing reading the Black Dawn box set books 1-3.Just a postscript though, in pursuit of reality, these men give their women a lot more notice then most of us Special Ops wives get before a deployment. I can't tell you the number of times my husband went out the door with plans to just check in for some routine training and didn't come home for five months. Thank God for support groups, phone trees and the like that kept us all sane in some very dark and scary times even before 9/11! It takes a very strong woman to stay married to these very special men!

Amazing box set!!

Her Steadfast Hero - David is one of the Army's top investigators and Sarah is a former Army nurse working with Doctors Without Borders. These two haven't seen each other in years but end up working in the same place after a major earthquake.
I loved these two and the new SEAL team. He's in the ARMY and she's with DWB. They reunite after like 4 years and its wonderful. I love that he knew exactly how long it been since he has seen her. Totally melted! Can't wait to learn more about the Black Dawn team!

Her Devoted Hero - There are not enough stars for this one! Dex gets pranked by a friendly rival SEAL team, and is stuck answering hundered's of emails on a dating site. Kenna is a single mom, but also so much more!! She sends Dex the best response and then tells him not to answer. Pretty sure he saw that as a challenge.

The laughs are amazing, but then something goes bad. There is a killer out there, and Kenna may just be in his sights. She is super strong through all the crap going on. SO many great one liners from both her and Dex. She made me laugh so much, and Dex just melts your heart!! Can't wait to see which Seal is next in the line up!

Her Passionate Hero - Aliana was bullied and tormented the whole way through school, but she is tough as nails and now a Vice Principal at an East LA High School. Hunter was a safe place and protector when they were growing up, but being older he left school before she did and she was all alone.
These two are both so much stronger than they realize. Having both been through so much at a very young age. Both have some dark secrets they don't share with anyone...but they have each other now. If they can just break through the walls built by the past.
Bullying is something that seems to get worse as the years go on and I am glad someone had the guts to write about it and bring it to light. We need to keep putting light on the dark places in the hopes that some day the darkness will just be a small part of life.

What an awesome box set, I read them as they came out so I'll pop my reviews here.

Her steadfast hero: I first read a shorter version of this story in the anthology "Cuffed & Claimed. I was thrilled to have the chance to read it again with more.
Earthquake! Major damage to an island country, one with a lot of corruption. Captain David of the Military Police finds himself placed in charge of rounding up escaped prisoners after the jail was damaged. Sarah arrives with 'Doctors without Borders' - a blast from his past. Their chemistry sizzled throughout this tale of action and drama involved in capturing these dangerous prisoners. I really enjoyed this well written story and highly recommend it.

Her Devoted hero: "But what I really want to know....is if you will trust me with a little piece of your heart" Can I just sigh right there, this rugged SEAL had the words and the actions to go with them.
Dex finds Kenna on a dating site after being set up, Kenna is as reluctant for a relationship as he is. These two had way more than chemistry, they shared wit and morals. Both were there for their family and others less fortunate. The story had action and drama and some heart stopping moments. I kept thinking no, surely the author won't kill her off or I'll have to hunt her down.
Great story, fantastic character, another winner for Caitlyn O'Leary. Bravo, you give me the 'feels' everytime.

Her Passionate hero: Another entertaining winner from this author.
Former victim of school bullies is now a school Vice Principal and is under attack by local gangs. Her knight in not so shining armour is her former school friend and now a SEAL. Can Hunter protect
Aliana from these gangs and make everything right in their world? They need this second chance romance after the hell they've been through. Great story, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great boxset

There is so much suspense and love in these three books. David and Sarah knew each other years ago but things didn't work out for them. Now they're in the middle of a natural disaster and having to capture escaped convicts. Will they be able to survive this time around? Kenna has been through a lot since she was in high school. She had to marry her high school boyfriend since she was pregnant and then her husband leaving her. One day she gets a message from some man on the dating site she is on and for some reason she answers. Dex can't believe that he was pranked with an online dating account. He's going to shut it down when he reads a message from a woman that leaves him thinking maybe he could have something with her. He responds to her message and is extremely intrigued as they talk more and more. Things start to go haywire when Kenna finds out someone from the dating site is after her. Will Dex be able to find out who is treating her before it's too late? Hunter and Aliana have known each other since they were kids. As they grew up Hunter saw Aliana as more than a friend but didn't push for more. When he graduated from high school, Hunter left for the navy. Aliana wasn't in the right headspace and pushed Hunter away when she needed him the most. After years apart Hunter comes back after Aliana's house is bombed. Aliana wants Hunter to leave but can't get him out. As they spend more time together Aliana's heart begins to open up again towards Hunter. Hunter wants to be with Aliana but has to tread carefully or she will psh him away for good.. She wants to be with him but is scared. Even more is the threat on Aliana, her mother, and grandmother. Will Hunter be able to keep Aliana and her family safe? Is Aliana going to open her heart to Hunter before it's to late?

Her Steadfast Hero, Book #1
Very enjoyable read. One I could not put down! This story has lots of suspense, action, and some great hot sexy scenes. I enjoyed all the hero's in this story and look forward to reading there stories, yes I said hero's as more than one. All men in uniform are hero's in my eyes. The author gave her readers just the right amount of back story to keep you informed but not so much to make the story slow. Great reading if you like your hero's in uniform.

Her Devoted Hero, Book #2
This is the second book in the 'Black Dawn' series. I also found this to be a very enjoyable read. So far, I feel this series could be read as standalone. I loved this story from the start, didn't want to stop reading it. Practical jokes are only funny if they don't include matters of the heart. Dating is hard enough! But I felt Dex handled it really well and cleaned the mess his friend put him in up. Plus, he got more then he bargained for. I really enjoyed the correspondence between Dex and Kenna. They were playful and made me laugh. Not only did I enjoy the entertaining correspondence between the characters, but I enjoyed the suspense. I also felt the characters and the story were well written. I look forward to reading more from this author not just from this series but others as well. Would I recommend this book to friends and family? Most defiantly!

Her Passionate Hero, Book #3
This is the third story in the "Black Dawn" series. I felt this could have been read out of order. This is a second chance story. This story has great action, with some sexy SEALs, great humor between the characters, and a sweet sexy love scene. I think if you like reading stories with alpha males this would be a series for you.

Her Passionate Hero - I am a big fan of Caitlyn O'Leary's books, but haven't read any in this series before - I plan to read the others soon. I had the chance to read this book as an ARC and jumped at the opportunity. I am providing a voluntary honest review for the ARC. I really enjoyed this book and strongly recommend it to those who enjoy romantic stories that have more substance and plot than just a series of sex scenes. I have to admit I thought Aliana's secret was going to be much darker, but it just portrayed how deep the wounds of childhood can be. I loved the theme that people doing the right thing and love can overcome the damage and circumstances of any childhood. The grandmother's book club was a riot and provided good comic relief in a story that contained several serious issues. The book will leave you smiling and sighing at the happy ending. A very entertaining book by one of my favorite authors.

Navy SEALS and their quest to serve and protect. The people found within the pages of these books are rich in detail, humor, determination, and connections, connections through family or through heart. Flaws, so much a part of life, enrich the tales. I love the interplay between the SEALS and the ladies within the stories. Fun, fun stories, yet, some touch the heart and make you want to hug the individuals. Bravo. I started reading the books of Caitlyn O'Leary last week. Now, many books later, I am determined to collect the series, so that I can read more about my SEALS. Each book is a standalone but I want to hear the story of all the SEALS found in the books. Bravo!!

I've read these individually and these guys are hot. The women are fantastic and strong. Makes for some intense reading with all the feels that won't let go.
From dangerous missions to the bedroom (if they make it that far) where the heat is high. Ms. O'Leary adds wit, snark and humor, snort worthy or just chuckling, and I love it!
Each read is stand alone with an HEA, but make appearances thought out. After all, they are Seal brothers.

Interesting

Interesting short stories to say the least. Needed editing and the stories were as expected predictable. The whole Spanish thing kind of bugged me. Instead of Cariño there was Cariña which is not a word no matter whether the character is female or male. It’s simply cariño and this word was not the only error. As I said it needed substantial editing. Very repetitive statements.

Sloppy editing

Great story lines, love the characters but her editing is very sloppy. Sentences that are missing words or have extra words, there are also sentences that just done make sense. Mispelled words. Names are confused with the characters. Just overall sloppy work, author has no pride in her work to put out such lazy work. Hence my 2 star rating. I have to give her credit for at least doing her research on the navy SEALS before writing.

Nice trio of stories

This is a nice box set of stories. They each are interesting, action packed and keep your attention. The are not filled with a bunch of page filler, which I really appreciated. The characters are likeable and the secondary characters are likable as well. They all have good plots. Well worth reading.

Hunky Heroes

This series is a scorcher. The men are true and wild for their ladies. There are plenty of hero books out there, but this set has heart and passion, and great writing of the individuals. You know these heroes will win the day, and their troubled ladies hearts. I can’t wait to read the rest.

Great boxset!

Each story has great characters and wonderful plot with the Seals characters all finding love. Lots of action and fantastic females. Whether dealing with a prison break after an earthquake or with gangs these guys steal your heart as they protect their women. Loved it!!

5 stars for Navy Sral Box Set: Black Dawn by Caitlyn O'Leary

One of the best ways to read an amazing series with amazing and much loved characters is in box set. All three books had an amazing storyline which also dealt with important and current storylines. Can't wait for the next instalment of Black Dawn Seal Team.

I loved these books, I was so absorbed into each story. I felt connected into each story. Each story has a very happy ever after and no cliffhanger. There’s so much action that I loved staying on edge too.

A Great Box Set

I absolutely loved every book in this set. Each Seal has to find a way to save their women and their hea. The women are all strong and make their men stronger. Each book can be read in a day and is a pleasure to read.

Good military romances

I enjoyed these stories, the characters and plot lines were good. The writing was a bit choppy in places and needs another round of editing but it wasn't enough to draw me out of the stories.

Words

Okay military and seal. That should be enough words to tell you everything. Or honor, bravery, pride. More words. The ones are love, trust, control. All these guys have them in spades. Oh and there hot to.

I'm a sucker for ex military romance stories and this set does not disappoint. You get to know the characters from Black Dawn and the ladies in their lives. I truly enjoyed each of the books and recommend reading them

Not really all there

I feel like they was something missing, in all of the books. Everything was predictable. Maybe more passion? Or more fighting since it’s about navy seals? To me something was just left out .

Navy seal box set-up black dawn no 1-3

The three stars are just for the third story. There was a lot of talk about gangs but no action. The only interesting thing was the interaction of the two main characters.

Decent Military Romance

This was a trio of three short military romances. They were good but because they were short, their wasn’t as much character development and suspense as in a full length novel.

These books are stupendous!

Ms. O'Leary writes in such a way that you can practically see the characters come to life and step off the pages. The only thing I didn't like was that box set ended to soon. I can't wait to read the rest.
