We wanted to celebrate the end of college. The end of all the hard work, the beginning of our new lives. Brandy had the perfect Alaska.
Addi
I needed the vacation to get away from the hell that was my life. Alaska was about as far away as I could get from Oklahoma and Africa. I felt safe, and meeting a really hot guy, with a crazy secret, was the adventure I needed.
What I didn't need was him hiding a secret from me that would pull us a part and nearly break my will to keep going. Handsome, sweet, intelligent--and a liar.
Patrick
I was jealous of my brother finding his mate... for about two hours before mine walked into my life. Addi was perfect and amazing, and had her life under control despite her terrible past.
But when something I'd hidden for years comes rushing back, I was sure she I'd lost her. There was no saving what we had. But there was someone out there who wanted to hurt her and her friends, and no matter what, no one was going to hurt Addi.
Wild coyotes couldn't tear us apart, but my one lie threatens to destroy my world...
Armed with her Bachelors of English, Literature from Montclair State University and a pen name, Katherine Rhodes has set her mind to writing adult romances which are kinky, dirty, and fun. A lackadaisical laundry goddess, expert in the profundities of bad movies, terrible music, and awful literature, she resides in Philadelphia with her husband and two cats.
I’m continuing my read through of this series after reading the first two on my Alaskan cruise. I like that Patrick and Addi’s story was third, simply because there is more personal history that they each need to grapple with, and already knowing their endgame really helped me as the reader see the light on the other side of the tunnel.
That said, because each book is taking place over the same summer, it’s starting to feel a bit repetitive. Between the first two books, we shift the time frame slightly, so we get time not included in the first book, which was great. However, that doesn’t happen in this one, so outside of personal revelations, there wasn’t anything new introduced. That can be okay I think, but part of what worked well with the first two books was that there were new scenes and such introduced, and that wasn’t really the case here. I can think of what are meant to be new scenes, but because they aren’t used in the same way as the second book, I don’t think they make as much of an impact.
"Exploring Alaska" (The Juneau Pack Book 3) by Katherine Rhodes is a fantastic read. I loved Patrick and Addison's story. This is a wonderful addition to this series, packed with passion, romance, twists, shifters, family, close friends, entertaining characters, and more. I can not wait to see what happens next with these fabulous characters. Highly recommend to all fans of paranormal romance, shifters, and series.
Really enjoyed Addi and Patrick's adventure. Loved seeing Addi overcome her past and work through everything with the help of her friends and Patricks patience. Never would have guessed Patrick's secret loved that this one kept me guessing until the end. Can't wait to read about the other two girls. Great series of interconnecting friends.
Everything you'd expect in a paranormal romance. Loved this! So fun and a quick read. Enough suspense to keep you intrigued. I loved the multiple layers with the different characters. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
