Rate this book
Alex Thornriel is no ordinary shifter. He's the son of a king, and that makes him a prince...but not for long. With the king's sudden death, the crown and the kingdom pass along to Alex. All he wants is to grieve his father in peace, but the cocky playboy can kiss his former party lifestyle goodbye, and say hello to a life of obligation and duty. Luckily, a sweet distraction arrives in a captivating, low-born omega...

Commoner Damon Rasmussen hates nobles, so he's not very happy to be rubbing elbows with them at King Johnathan's funeral. From the moment he sets foot on the Thornriel estate, Damon's thrust into a bewildering universe of courtly refinement, at the center of which is the enigmatic Prince Alex. Alex is a noble of the highest order, and that makes him an enemy. But Damon can't seem to stay away, especially after a stolen kiss in a hidden annex, deep within the walls of the glamorous royal mansion...

They are a mismatched pair, but they're drawn to each other in an indescribable way. If they belong together, they better figure things out soon, because King Johnathan's death might not have been an accident. And Prince Alex could be next.

OMEGA BLOODLINES is a complete novel-length story with a HEA ending. First of an exciting new series, but can be read as a standalone book. Contains steamy scenes intended for mature readers.

I liked this story. My biggest problem was that it felt like a historical romance so it felt strange when they talked about computers and surveillance cameras. I know it was supposed to be the present, but it just felt that way to me. I don’t like cliffhanger endings, but this didn’t bother me because it just felt like a lead in to the next book.

The book was okay. It had a lot of eye rolling moments for me. I thought Alex to be a bit clueless about his friend Andrew’s feeling. You would think if they were as close as they were that he would have some inkling of what Andrew was going through being his friend. Which brings me to the ending. I thought the cliffhanger leading to what appears to be Andrew’s book was a bit contrived. Overall, an okay read. On the fence as to whether or not I’ll continue the series.

This was unintentionally hilarious. The level of amusement I got out of the weird word choices in this book carried me through, its otherwise a pretty standard forgettable surface-detail omegaverse novel.

"Mmm," Alex intoned against my asshole before he finally pulled away.

Outside of that:

• The side plot(s) were... a lot.

• There were so many named side characters that I had no idea what was going on. A Big Reveal about SideCharacter32 missed me hard because of this. No idea who they were or why they mattered among the legions of other tiny named characters.

• The whole backplot of Andrew could have been its own book, instead of being a very confusing paragraph. The pseudo cliffhanger with Andrew was also baffling, because the next book isn't Andrews. ???

• tbh alex is just straight up dingdong, good luck kingdom

• the omega part of this was pretty glossed over, especially the surprise (for character) mpreg? The book just kind of swanned right by that lmao

• fated mates? kind of. idk just pretend it is.

Overall, it was a fast read...yeah. I read it.

A painfully worded, poorly contrived book whose terribly formulaic execution I should have been able to smell out from the very blurb, given the way this illiterate author constantly mispells such a transparent name as Jonathan. When one has nothing whatever to contribute to a well-worn plot while lacking the minimal amount of talent in the absence of which writing is but a useless venture, hard on oneself and grievous on the readership, why on God's green earth are people still aspiring to sell books?

Alex returns home for his father's funeral where he encounters Damon.
Alex was attending a birthday party when he gets the news that his father the King of the werewolves Northern Kingdom has died and that he must return home for the funeral and for himself as the heir to have a coronation. Damon was asked by the elderly Lord Douglas to attend the Kings Funeral as his representative wearing his family emblem on his collar when he arrives in wolf form. Assigned a room he has trouble finding it until he asks another young man for help. When goes down to breakfast he is shocked to find that the young man is Alex the new king. Meanwhile Alex finding out rumors that is fathers death may have been suspicious and if so was he the next target. A MM MPreg romance to relax and enjoy.

A great Aplha/Omega story. This story is about Alex and Damon. Alex becomes the King after his father's death. Damon, a commoner is sent to the funeral as a representative for Lord Douglas. He meets a young man and asks him to help him find his room. Later in the dinning hall he finds out that young man is Alex the king. There is an instantly attraction between them. They are opposites of the class structure. After they realize that they are fated mates things change. They soon realize that mabe the king's death was not from a heart attack. This story will keep you turnging pages to see what happens next. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book..

Not bad, but Andrew's characterization seemed to be all over the place. #Points! for keeping me guessing though; I usually have an inkling of who the Big Bad is when reading a whodunit, but not here. All my guesses were wrong.

(I'm hoping Andrew, a side-character in this book, is the protagonist of the next installment so that we get a more in-depth explanation for his actions/words/motivation. What we're given here is sorta...meh. At first I thought it was romantic rivalry, and it certainly read like that at a certain point, but it's not and it the "reason" was rather heavy-handed.)

Good Story, but Quick

An interesting story line with a slow build and then rapid denouement. The answer to the events is unexpectedly quick, leaving a few unresolved story threads. The characters are supported though not well developed. Ends with a hook into the next book, not quite a cliff-hanger, but not the ending one might expect.

Very enjoyable royal, opposites attract story with mystery, palace intrigue, possible murder, and romance. Loved the characters of Alex and Damon and how they grew toward each other. This is a new author to me, and I can't wait for more in this series.

Enjoyed

This was my first time reading this author and I was pleasantly surprised. There were some things that I didn’t like but it didn’t take away from the intriguing storyline or the great characters. I love a good mpreg read. I look forward to the next book.

Love it

I choose five star 🌟 because it has story, mystery, drama etc, etc, all the right ingredients to make a book, if you write a book you expect your readers anxiously wait for the next one. This one has what it takes to drag readers trough the series. Great work

Not for Me.

Can't say I really liked the characters that much. Pretty bland overall, but with the plot also not really going anywhere (a mystery with a "plot twist" ending that was more aggravating and random than interesting) it didn't really pan out well.
