Right or wrong, can you deny a love so strong?

Falling in love with James was easy. Hiding that love from our parents was hard. And turning my back on it entirely? Damn near impossible, but I did that too. We both did, because we didn't have a choice.
We thought it would get easier with time. We thought we could go back to the way things were before we crossed every line imaginable. We thought we could do it because we had to, but we were wrong.

I was supposed to be her brother, not her closest confidant, definitely not her lover. When our relationship changed, we ran headlong into unknown territory. Without a care in the world, we thought everything would work out, that we'd be together forever.
Then everything fell apart. We let go of what we had, turned our backs on the past and set our eyes to the future. There was no way to foresee the tragedy that was in store for us.

Forbidden: A Stepbrother Romance by Victoria Wright is the first book that I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. There is no question as to what you are in for as the title is self-explanatory.
Forbidden is well written and the characters are likeable. There is so much more to the storyline than just the forbidden love between James and Amy. Time and circumstances put these two through a lot as you watch them grow as individuals and as a couple.

This book is one of those that society differently considers forbidden. It done well and characters are very relatable to this situation. I'm looking forward to more from this author.

Not what I was expecting
I got this book looking for a great taboo read and although this wasn’t that, it was still a great book with likable characters and a solid story.
