This Marine’s on a mission, and he won’t rest until she’s begging for more…
Amy Mitchell has been trying to move on with her life, regretful of letting “the one” get away. She’s determined to forget about men and focus on her students and the art gallery she dreams of opening someday.
The last thing on her mind?
Her hunky neighbor Marine Corps Captain Jason Patterson.
Jason has regrets of his own—and although there’s no turning back to fix the mistakes of his past, he’s determined to do things the right way this time around. Preferably with the brunette bombshell right across the street.
As their paths cross, Amy realizes a little romance may not be a bad thing. But after a heated night in her neighbor’s bed leaves her questioning their chance of a future together, she starts to wonder—will the sparks between them only leave her burned?
One Night with a Marine, a standalone romance, is book one in the Sinful Marines series.
One Night with a Marine is book one in the Sinful Marines series. I have been a big fan of Makenna Jameison for several years now. I have enjoyed every single book of hers that I have read (which is most of them FYI). This one was no exception. Our hero Jason is a marine and Amy our heroine is a preschool teacher. Both of them have quite a bit of previous relationship baggage to overcome in order to reach their happily ever after. Their road is a hard one that has a touch of miscommunication/no communication on certain things. That being said I absolutely positively loved this story. I’m off to read the second book in this series, Her Sinful Marine! Happy reading 📖
Why do people, especially women, automatically think they are in a relation with someone they have sex with when they haven't even talked to each for much more than an hour? This poor man was begging for forgiveness for a ridiculous matter. And it didn't matter to Amy that she hadn't told Jason her life story either. I guess it was his fault she couldn't control her own libido. This is a one sided story.
3.5 Stars. This is a sweet romance between neighbors. Jason is the type of guy any single girl would love as a neighbor. Jason isn’t the typical alpha Marine male portrayed in books. He is good hearted man that is caring and kind. He is sexy without being domineering and arrogant. Amy is the literally the “ Girl Next Door” type. I wish the books was a few chapters longer, as I felt cheated not getting to be part of the new couple’s first Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
