The story is written in a simple montage format with each chapter showing the day-to-day activities of two childhood friends turned lover of one month. There is no specific plot and we’re just witnessing the usual life of these two in the span of just one year.
There is something sweet about reading a simple thing as Nachchan and Shima just sitting and doing their homework even. Generally I am not the biggest fan of high school romances but seeing that it was by the same author who wrote Old Fashioned Cupcake, I knew it would be a feel good story and just wanted to try it. If I’m being truthful, I would not have minded if the story had at least 20 more chapter of these two just simply passing their days. I hope in the future we will get to see how they’re after going their separate way but still finding each other.

Shima và Natsuo là hai người bạn thuở nhỏ, họ sống và lớn lên cùng nhau tại một vùng quê bình thường có thể thấy bất kì nơi đâu. Họ là những cậu học sinh trung học như bao người. Nhưng tình yêu mà Shima và Natsuo dành cho nhau là hạnh phúc của riêng họ, mà chỉ riêng họ có được.
Diễn biến truyện được tác giả đặt vào mỗi tháng trong năm cứ chuyển tiếp. Từng ô truyện đơn giản và ngắn, thể hiện những khoảnh khắc, một dịp lễ nào đó mà Shima và Natsuo bên nhau, dù nó đơn giản nhưng vẫn đầy hạnh phúc. Và hơn hết, mỗi trang đều rất hài hước và đáng yêu theo một các đơn giản:
Được bên nhau như vầy.
Hay là đáng yêu trong sự thẹn thùng, hài hước.
Được thể hiện tình cảm. Mình thích Natsuo hoạt bát, nhí nhảnh. Shima có vẻ chính chắn hơn nhưng vẫn đầy ngại ngùng.
Nếu bạn nào mong đợi một sự rõ ràng, thì không! Cốt truyện diễn ra không theo trình tự, không có việc Shima và Natsuo đã yêu nhau từ bao giờ? Hay drama các kiểu đâu. Thay vào đó là những khoảnh khắc đơn giản, nhẹ nhàng. Tuy vậy, mình vẫn chắc chắn ràng câu chuyện của Shima và Natsuo vẫn có chiều sâu, dù đôi khi cách họ thể hiện tình cảm, lời nói cho nhau nó vẫn bâng quơ, mập mờ nhưng vẫn đầy cảm xúc.

Dù là một tác phẩm đầu tay, nhưng Spring, Summer, Nacchan, Fall, Winter, and Me vẫn là một tác phẩm tuyệt. Nét vẽ của Sagan Sagan đẹp ơi là đẹp, mình thích cách tác giả thể hiện câu chuyện vừa nhẹ nhàng, tươi đẹp trong không khí yên bình của vùng quê. Dù tình yêu của Shima và Natsuo có về đâu, thì những khoảnh khắc trong đời họ vẫn luôn là ký ức tươi đẹp nhất không đâu có được.

Not bad for a debut BL comic. The two characters, Nacchan and Shicchan are so adorable together!
It is a montage of events... like intimate memories told by childhood friends that soon turned into lovers. There's no definitive plot, the title tells everything. Days pass by, months pass by, and seasons pass by—but feelings remain and only get stronger. It's heartwarming and neatly arranged.

One of my favorite BL manga about childhood sweethearts!
The setting is in rural Japan and I love Sagan Sagan sensei’s hand drawn backgrounds with great details, she puts so much effort into her first commercial publication!
It feels like I’m watching a Japanese art house film with the gentle storytelling and delicate panel layout.
The seme (longer hair) and uke (short buzz cut) have known each other all their lives, but finally started dating when they entered high school.
This manga is a collection of short stories, it follows their sweet daily life through the four seasons.
I like how they make the best out of the simple life in the countryside and have fun with each other at school and home, in the field, under the trees, with sun and moon…
The emotional development is so authentic and appropriate for their age, down to earth like in real life.
These two really treasure each other and I can feel their pure love coming out of the pages.
What will happen to them once they enter university and meet more people? Will they go to Tokyo and explore the big city life? Will they still stay together once they enter the complicated adult world?
Let’s take it slow and just enjoy the worry free days of high school.

Ce one shot est bourré de douceur. Un titre qui m’a surprise ! Je ne m’attendais pas à tant de poésie en le lisant !
Shima et Natsuo sont deux amis d’enfance, qui sortent ensemble. Ils s’aiment et c’est ainsi, que nous allons suivre dans ce cours one shot, leur quotidien, jours après jours, mois après mois, saisons après saisons.
Déjà, la couverture est magnifique avec ses couleurs automnales. Puis j’ai apprécié la façon dont l’histoire nous est présentée. Nous suivons des petites brides de leur vie, racontée sur une page, voire deux ou trois maximums.
On suit les deux jeunes hommes et on observe leurs relations, leur évolution, leur rapprochement. Il s’agit surtout d’un titre contemplatif. On observe les pages les unes à la suite des autres et on se laisse emporter.
C’est un format narratif changeant, et c’est ce que j’ai aimé là-dedans. Cela rend le titre très doux et poétique. De plus, les personnages sont mignons comme tout !
En bref, j’ai adoré ce petit one shot. Ce n’est pas un de mes yaoi préféré, mais c’est une histoire qui reste douce et agréable à lire !

i did not like this at all 😭 the art was sooooo gorgeous especially the panels for each month of the year but everything felt so disjointed and i didn’t feel connected to the characters or relationship at ALL
like at least make me care about the couple whose lives i’m following? otherwise what’s the point??? u kinda just jump right into their relationship and i did nottt like or EXPECT for how that came to be established

that was super soft and surprisingly poetic, just two boys in love through the course of the seasons and the months, while adulthood is close and yet so far

Impressionnée par la qualité des deux Old Fashion Cupcake, je suis allée lire le premier manga de Sagan Sagan. Au niveau des dessins, c'est tout aussi bien, j'adore sa façon de communiquer les émotions des personnages, la gêne, la colère, l'élégance, la joie, la franchise de Nacchan (et à quel point il peut être mignon) et la réaction que ça provoque chez Shima! Vraiment, son trait nerveux et dynamique me touche beaucoup. Il y a aussi un érotisme bien présent (même s'il n'y aucune scène explicite autre que les baisers).
Ici, on n'est pas dans une histoire suivie: la majorité des scénettes fait une seule page (parfois deux). On y raconte toujours la vie du couple, à travers les mois qui se succèdent, et les saisons qu'ils traversent. Ce n'est pas précisé, mais j'ai l'impression que ça se déroule sur plusieurs années: entre la fin de leur scolarité et le début de leur vie active sur le marché du travail (parfois, ils n'ont plus d'uniforme scolaire, ils semblent vivre ensemble, etc.)
Ce flou sur la temporalité du récit permet de suivre l'attachement entre les deux personnages. Le but des récits n'est pas de constater l'évolution de leur lien, car ils s'aiment déjà et sortent ensemble dès la première page. Mais de partager avec eux les différentes beautés et défis du temps qui passe d'une saison à l'autre. C'est d'une douceur extrême!

El format és una mica estrany al principi perquè són petits retalls de la vida a l'institut, mes rere mes, de dos amics d'infància que s'agraden i comencen a sortir (childhood friends to lovers ♥), però de seguida t'endinses en la seva quotidianitat i et fons veient com de cuquis arriben a ser :3 és que de debò, són una monada!!! ♥ sobretot el Nacchan i les seves galtones!!!!! Com que només abarca un sol any, m'ha faltat certa continuació i saber què passarà després de la graduació, quan un vagi a la universitat i l'altre treballi de cuiner...

C'est lent, c'est doux, c'est cozy.
C'est une tranche de vie sans spice, slow et touchante. C'est un enchaînement de plein de petites histoires du quotidien de nos deux protagonistes, au fil des saisons. J'ai beaucoup aimé.
Je crois que ça résume bien mon avis, je ne sais pas comment le développer davantage, et quelque part c'est plutôt bon signe pour un manga catégorisé "yaoi" ? Vu ce qu'on trouve parfois...
Un pointe de forcing, qui fait qu'il n'a pas 5 étoiles. Autrement, je l'ai trouvé mignon tout plein.

A cute and fluffy BL about how wonderful it is to enjoy the mundane and the season. I really enjoyed this it was so sweet. Sadly, the 4⭐️ rating is because I found the story a bit disjointed and I felt like I was reading snippets instead of a whole complete story. I did enjoy it a lot. This would also be a nice BL to read when I crave something sweet and fun. I really adore Sagan Sagan-Sensei as a mangaka and I can't wait to read more of their work!

It's simple but not boring at all. The story is so casually delightful and, unfortunately, too short; as other people already commented, it feels like we're watching someone else's memories of young love in the littlest aspects of the daily routine, and everything feels so 'honest' and endearing. The combination of the narrative and the art is just excellent.

i read that quite some time ago without writing a review and now i don’t really remember it…
the art style was really nice, although a bit chaotic (but i like chaotic) and the story was cute, felt warm. but it was nothing special, unfortunately. i didn’t grow attached to the characters, i got lost in that small plot a few times… but overall, it was nice :)

J'adore ce manga! Le style correspond parfaitement à l'histoire. Les personnages sont adorables et la façon dont ils sont dessinés est mignonne, vibrante.
Cela dit, la fin m'a laissé un peu insatisfait (surtout qu'on je pense au conflit principal).

Nhân một ngày đẹp trời tui lăn ra ốm, tui dưỡng bệnh bằng cách nằm bẹp trên giường và đọc bộ này. Truyện đáng yêu dã man ấy. Shima hay ngượng còn Nacchan thích trêu. Hai cậu bạn hay đi cùng cũng dễ thương nốt. Bộ này gồm những chuyện nhỏ nhỏ xâu lại, dễ đọc với ấm lòng cực kì
