Ok, but in severe need of a competent editor. The punctuation and even sentence structure were messed up enough that it was difficult to follow in parts.
Concept had/s potential, but I feel that the author is trying too hard to make goofy characters and the tone of the book isn't consistent. The comic relief character is one of the most difficult to get right, so a re-focus on the "serious" parts of the story would help. That doesn't mean turning it into a grimdark slog, but I suggest that the attempts to lighten the mood didn't really work as intended.
The story started interesting. Then it slowly defended into incomprehensible. And the third act was very dumb. I wanted to like it, but the decision of the author to kill a certain character made me lost all interest in this story. Random meaningless deaths in a world of magic and an author willing and culprit of using deus exmachina moments for some character but not others. It just makes me sick.
First off let me just apologize for I'm not good at reviews. Certainty a twist on the reincarnation theme. Lots of behind the scene plans. I thought it was good. would like to read more.
Fun read, it gets added to the list of series I'll be reading this year. Has great set-up for the next book. First time reading this author, so I'll check out his other books as well.
This book is okay but with it's premise it could be great. I think the biggest problem with this book is all of the logical leaps the author makes. It's like he couldn't get his thoughts to the paper fast enough so skipped words.
Would I pay $5 for this book? Probably not, but it was a fun, quick Kindle Unlimited Read. The story got markedly better when the MC started to work with his new party and other characters viewpoints started to be shown.
