I am a lifelong believer in the teachings of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. I have followed Ellen White's writings for 77 years. After reading this book I have no reason to doubt what I have learned about Ellen or her writings. I believe that she was guided by the Holy Spirit as she wrote. I believe that her assistants were guided by her and the Holy Spirit and that she signed off on every one of the publications attributed to her. I also believe that the controvetsy surrounding her writings is a work of Satan to alter the thinking of God"s people.
Brilliant Adventist historian George R. Knight opens the book on the life of the woman God sent as messenger to the early Adventist church. Turns out she was a kind and loving Christian woman with a sense of humor that you'd probably like if you met her. It also lays out her fearless witness to the often misguided leadership of the church. Great read.
