Given all the inventions that they have recovered from other timelines, Michael Hartley figures that it would be great to take advantage of them to make his honeymoon the most special ever. Little does he realize that his travels may reveal some secrets from a forgotten timeline that he would prefer not surface, ever. Worse than that, he soon discovers that if his current timeline continues, his hometown of Kingdom Gardens will be destroyed, and there are only days remaining to stop the course of events that will lead to the end of time for everything dear to him. First though, he has to find a way to get himself and his wife out of a very different future and back to their own time without getting themselves killed in the process. Who is the real villain behind this plot to destroy his town, what is his motivation, and can he be stopped?
Hello! I read this book a while back and forgot to put the review in so here it goes!
First off I really liked the Inventory Of Electronics because as a fellow author/reader I know that can get very confusing at times. You know... machines... what they all do... On the next note (ok... sure we’ll go with that) In Chapter One the Hartley’s Are home at sick ‘If The Price Is Right’. Where you can find a neat little Easter Egg. If you’ve read more of James Hart’s work than you would know that in The Waiting Room Anthologies the main protagonist’s name is Joe Schmoe! Who can also be seen (read?) playing If The Price Is Right! (I love Easter Eggs so I thought that was awesome) Also like 7-ELEVEN (also known as 7-EVEN) it’s giving me like an E.T. vibe. Let me explain. Do you remember how Elliot lured E.T. in with Reese’s Pieces? And when you were done with the movie you suddenly really wanted Reese’s Pieces? Well it’s like that just weirder and with 7-ELEVEN now I want to go to a 7-ELEVEN. (And please let me find fruit on the ground, lol) Ok moving on... I loved the scene with Rita and the mouse/alien/GMO Creature/Clyde thought it was a neat touch. Then my dude Austin he’s absolutely the best and probably gets me the most laughs. And he’s just overall a very well created character. I could go on for days geeking out about this book but nobody would want to read it cuz it would be really really really long. But on a ending note (note... again?) it was great to see Max(well)’s character development through this series and even though I’m sad to see it go I thought it ended good. It even ended with Steve Jobs! I can’t ask for anything better!
