Explicit Instruction
'I wouldn't do that if I were you.'

Stranded and searching for a phone, Flick inadvertently walks into danger, and finds herself living in a nightmare. But an unexpected reprieve comes in the form of a stranger, a looming silhouette more terrifying than the evil that captured her. From him she learns that danger has an alias, Rushe. He is abrupt, crude, domineering...and her only hope for survival.
With freedom a distant memory, Flick is reluctantly drawn into the criminal plot. As she descends further, her entanglement with Rushe becomes deeper. The adventure she started by accident threatens them; but Flick knows it’s not only her life she is battling for, it’s her heart as well.

Explicit Detail
‘I make my own rules.’

Integrating Flick into his life has given Rushe a new priority, to keep his woman where he wants her – safe and in his bed. But saving women who have no hope is a part of who he is, and it doesn’t take long for the next job to seek them out.
Rushe knows the rules, but Flick has never played the game from this side of the table before. Working in parallel, our couple go undercover to expose the crucial details of an intrigue that sinks deeper than they could have predicted.
Ready to get her hands dirty, Flick wades in, relishing the challenge. Except danger closes in on her from all sides, and Rushe has his own cards to play. They have to learn to work together before the job drives them apart.
But if their union is revealed, it could cost them their lives.

Explicit Memory
‘There’s no place for that here.’

The past that they’d hoped to outrun has chased them down, and now it wants payback.
To appease their debtors, they must delve into Rushe’s own history. As they come face to face with the situation that brought them together in the first place, Flick learns more about the man who she’s pledged her heart, and her body, to.
When danger encroaches, Flick will resort to whatever measures are necessary to achieve their goal, but could that mean sacrificing their relationship?

As an avid reader and a huge fan of Scarlett Finn's writing, I was thrilled when I saw the Explicit Series as a bundle.

In book one, Explicit Instruction, the reader is introduced to Flick, an unlucky woman who finds herself in the worst possible situation. When her back is against the wall the only person she can count on is the most unlikely of heroes. Enter Rushe (*sigh*) the most dangerous, sexy, dirty-talking alpha male that I have had the pleasure of reading. When Flick's situation goes from bad to worse, Rushe may be the only one able to save her.

Book two, Explicit Detail, we watch as Rushe tries to integrate Flick into his unconventional lifestyle. After months of turning down jobs, Flick pushes Rushe to get back to work and demands that he let her help. While he goes undercover, Flick decides to come off the sidelines and take matters into her own hands, landing herself and Rushe in a life or death situation.

In book three, Explicit Memory (my favorite), Rushe and Flick have to go back to where it all started to try and save themselves and their friends from a diabolical family set on revenge. This book reveals a look into Rushe's dark past and forces Flick to reunite with her own unloving family. While this book drives our couple apart it also shows the love that has been building between them since Explicit Instruction.

These books, and this couple, have quickly become my go-to favorites anytime I'm looking for something hot and sexy to read. While there is explicit language and scenes in this series, they help to demonstrate the emotional development of the characters throughout their journey. Rushe will never be the sweet talking romantic hero and Flick is not a naive, head-in-the-clouds heroine. Together they make an amazing and kick-ass couple. I would highly recommend this book to fans of romantic suspense novels, you will not be disappointed.

What can I say about this series! Hot, hot, hot. Rushe is one ALPHA MALE! This trilogy was amazing. Scarlett Finn writes such strong characters. If you are looking for a strong female lead that won't back down and doesn't give up the fight, this is your serious. If you are looking for a hotter than hell alpha male, this is your series. If you want to be sucked into a story and their world, READ THIS SERIES!!

This bundle includes all 3 books in the series. It was well worth the read. Flick and Rushe, oh my the sexual chemistry between the two I'd off the charts. If you don't like dirty talk, put this down now. Rushe and his words will just melt you. I didn't want to like Rushe, I thought he was an ass, at first. But the more you get into his world you understand him.

Explicit Instructions, book 1, where it all begins. Felicity, aka Flick, is having a rough day. On her way to a date, her cab breaks down. Her cell phone is dead and she is in a seedy neighborhood. She spots a bar and goes to enter. She is warned not to enter, but she doesn't listen. She walks in on something bad. Being taken into a back room with some thugs, she knows she is in trouble. Rushed comes in and claims her. She is taken to a secluded home and tied to Rushe's bed. He will not harm her or force himself on her. This is just the beginning for the two. Flick has a mouth on her and you will love it. She will fight against him. I don't want to give to much away with their story. There is a mystery that needs to be solved. You have some unsavory characters in this story. SKIkiv, Victor, Simone. Watch out for Simone, she is just trouble. If you can't handle a few touchy subjects like human trafficking, this isn't the story for you. You learn a little about Flick's family problems and why she hasn't seen them in a year. Jensen is an associate of Rushe and becomes a part of the story.

Explicit Detail, book 2, picks up where Instructions leaves off. Rushed is still trying to get use to having Flick around. He is used to working alone. He cares for no one and doesn't get attached to people. You will start to fall for Rushe. His dirty talking only gets worse, his jealousy is off the charts. He doesn't know how to handle his feelings. The banter between the two in this book gets better. Rushe is approached to handle another job. Flick convinces him to take it. A girl is missing and her brother wants help in finding her. Rushe leaves to get in uncover but Flick goes to the Casino/Lounge to get a job. Flick goes and gets involved with Whyte. One of the major bad guys in this book. The story line in this one was amazing. You meet Liam in this story. He is such a help to Flick. I don't want to give any spoilers away but I was yelling at my screen. Getting involved with these Casino people, Joey and his dad, yuck!!! Rosa is a conniving woman. She is involved in so much trouble. Again, no spoilers but seeing how Flick handles a major point in the book was great. She wasn't just going to sit back and not fight for Rushe. How this ended was WOW! I just dived right in book 3.

Explicit Memory, book 3, my favorite by far. Rushed still tries to push Flick away. But he is coming to terms with everything. Flick takes Rushed home. In comes Mericer, he is part of the story from book one and Victor's boss. He is in her parents home and making himself comfortable. You get to know Rushe's entire story now. Flick and Rushed are stuck together, they have professed their love. They won't give each up. Flick is learning to pick her battles. This is the biggest battle of all that they have to face. All the characters are in this one, Liam, Eric, Jensen, Serendipity. I loved Silver! When he was interacting with Flick and Rushe, I had to laugh. Silver is a major part of this story. You also meet Twany in this one. Guess who is back, Simone. She is a piece of work. The Mericer family wants to make Rushe pay. So they are going to frame him for murder, human trafficking, rape, and everything else. Flick will not let her man down. This last book was a thrill ride. You will not be disappointed!!

Included in all the books are hotter than hot sex scenes that will make you blush! You have been warned to read in privacy!

You will not be disappointed in this series. The writing was amazing and you are just drawn in.

Wow! Loved this trilogy!

This was a hot and sexy crazy great rollercoaster of emotions trilogy! The first book led the way into an amazing foray of murder, intrigue, hot sex, and growing love between two seriously damaged individuals. Be warned that our Hero is in fact an anti-hero who is learning through this series that love is not a weakness, but can be a strength. The Hero is very posessive, and sometimes a bit Ott, but he's had a rough and loveless life so he knows no better, so once he starts caring for the h he doesn't want anything near her that could hurt her or take her away. His dirty talk could be found to be a bit over the top for some, but the heroine loves it, and knows that he sometimes uses his lashing out as a defense mechanism. Once you get further into the story and the hero grows to accept his love for the h, the dirty talk almost takes on a tone of endearment. Anyway, there are definitely some triggers in this book that some might be disturbed by, like the human trafficking element in the first book, but not much of it is prevalent in later books. There is NO cheating in any of the books! That made snoop happy! Anyway, I loved this series, it was always edge of your seat thrilling, supper sexy, sometimes humorous, and the characters were constantly evolving to learn how be together.

This was a great series! There was so much action in this book and I loved every bit of it! I liked the writing style of Scarlett Finn in this series. When I first started reading, I thought "oh great-another stupid naive heroine" but the more I read, the more insightful Flick became...and then you realize how smart and resourceful Flick is...and then you see what a bad ass Flick becomes! It was a great journey!! And of course there's Rushe -*sigh*- mmmm mmmm Rushe...bad ass through and through! He worked alone, trusted no one, answered to no one!...until Flick. I liked that it wasn't insta love and you were able to see how their relationship grew progressively through out the books. I would definitely recommend this series!

One of the best Anti-heroes and a kick ass heroine!

When a crappy day for Flick ends with her walking into a sketchy bar, and a deep voice tries to warn her away...her life will never be the same! Flick walks into some illegal activities and some scary dudes, the scariest being Rushe. Their journey together is one of survival, lust, and for Rushe, learning to love and trust someone. Rushe is HOT, big, mean and scary, as well as a man of few words. The first book is basically how they meet and get to know each other. Rushe can be such a bastard, but he's learned that it's best to not form attachments. His feelings for Flick confuse him and make him mad. He lashes out at her but Flick starts to realize that he does this to push her away and put distance between them. These two go thru a lot, there's suspense, kidnapping, human trafficking, some really hot and steamy scenes and some humor as Flick is funny as hell and has a mouth on her but you slowly see her come into her own.
The second book starts with our couple living in bliss until they take a job. Rushe takes jobs to protect women in a not so legit way. He and Flick have been in bliss for a few months enjoying each other but Flick knows he's getting antsy. This book shows our couple the importance of communication. And you see Flick turn into the "Rushe Whisperer". Some of the things he does and says pissed me off, but thru Flicks internal dialogue, I got it. She really comes into her own in this book and our couple become closer. More suspense, intrigue, and hot times with our couple.
The third book gives even more insight on Rushe's background and our dynamic duo go through a few bumpy times but Flick is determined to get thru to our stubborn, misguided but besotted hero. In the second book, there was point where we thought Rushe had been taken from us and it was a bit emotional, but in the third book, Rushe is not the same and Flick comes to a conclusion that really got to me. Their connection was soul deep that when she thought he was back with who she thought was his first love because of the way he was acting.....well, that was a bit heart tugging for me and very well done by the author. Actually, all three books were well done and I'm glad I got the set. I would've gone nuts waiting for the next. All end in a HFN and I think you could read them as standalones, but why would you want to do that? Get all three so you can transition to the next without delay. The banter and conversations between our couple is funny and I loved it and even the secondary characters are enjoyable . This is definitely one I will be purchasing for my library (I borrowed this on KU). Get this set and make sure you set aside some uninterrupted time to read it!!

This is one of the best series I've read in a long time. I had to take several breaks while reading it as it is very dark. it is also gripping and in a strange way romantic. Rushe has lived most of his life on his own, rejecting friendship and love as a self preservation mechanism. Flick, estranged from her family is taken by traffickers and thus meets Rushe. Their relationship is hard to define but she learns to read his moods and the words he doesn't say. The progress of their relationship is riveting as Rushe slowly starts to express himself while Flick knows not to push him too hard. Scarlett Finn absolutely nailed it with this series.

Four stars

Kept you on your toes throughout the whole series. I admit Rusch is not the guy for me and i have no idea what Flick saw in him to begin with, but in the long run, he's awesome for her. This was more of your dark romance with all the violence, so if dirty words and violence are not your thing, this isn't the series for you.
