My father’s best friend is about to take my virginity. And he wants me to call him Daddy...
Whe my dad passes away, his best friend from highschool offers me a job. I’ve known Julian my whole life, and I’ve heard all the rumors. He’s unreasonably gorgeous, a total player, and only cares about himself.
My father jokingly called him the biggest a--hole he ever met.
I think my dad was right. Julian is a bastard, the worst boss I’ve ever had. He’s demanding, exacting, controlling, and way too intense.
Until one night, everything changes.
We get way too close. It’s a total mistake. But I can’t help myself when he corners me in his office and shows me exactly what he wants from me. He’s dominant, savage, uncontrollable, and I love it.
Now I’m calling him Daddy and I’m finally ready to lose my virginity.
He says I need a new man in my life. I can’t stop picturing his strong hands on my hips, his lips against my neck, his body pressing me down against his desk and…
Oh, god. I know this is wrong. I’ve known him since I was a little girl.
But I’m all grown up now and I’m ready for a new Daddy.
My First Daddy is an ultra hot and over the top Daddy romance featuring an older man and a younger woman. It has super steamy scenes and some bad language. It’s only recommended for readers 18+. If you love spanking, dirty dominant men, and a Daddy that has to take care of his girl, you'll love this book!
My First Daddy is a safe standalone novella with no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA. Enjoy!!
Note: All my books are standalones and can be read in any order.
Don’t mind me, I’m just over here fanning myself off after this steamy read! This trope is really starting to become a favorite of mine. Julian was such a dirty talker. I never knew what was going to come out of his mouth. I would happily call him Daddy! Honestly, Avery didn’t stand a chance against him and his charm.
I haven’t read anything else from B.B. Hamel, but I might need to take a look at the rest of the books in this series if they are as hot as this one was!
Avery has a lot of weight resting on her shoulders. She has lost her father, she has to find a job now that she is out of school, and her mom. When she receives a call from someone she used to know, her father's friend, she is skeptical and curious. Dinner, with a family friend. What could possibly happen??
Julian went to school with both Avery's mom and dad. In fact, her dad was his best friend. But family life changed Avery's dad, and Julian was not in that same frame of mind. Now after parting ways, making and selling a business, and a little growing up, he is trying to make amends.
Julian calls Avery, they talk briefly, and then there is a dinner and a proposition on the table. What is being held back is the draw to one another they have. Julian actually embraces the reality of what is happening. Avery is a little slower to accept it. Things are very hot and heated between these two from the start. A few twists take place, not pleasant ones either. Through it all there is a fight and deep felt need to be with each other. The little things and the big things may come at them, but they have a connection that is deeper and can withstand all the twists in life.
There is a guaranteed happily ever after for these two as well. A deliciously hot book that really was too good to set down once I started it!
The story of the young Avery and the much older Julian is unexpected in the beginning. Avery's deceased father's estranged friend calls Avery out of the blue. They haven't seen each other in more than a decade. After an impromptu dinner together, their working relationship and personal relationship move at a fast pace. The fact that Julian is starting a publishing company and wants to work with an indie author, Haylee, is fun and adds a quite bit of drama. The intimate side of Avery and Julian's relationship is sexy, steamy and definitely on the "here comes trouble" scale. You can't have a "Daddy" without it. The trouble is Avery's mother, Samantha. She has some severe opinions of Julian that causes some huge problems for Avery. I really enjoyed this book. It is entertaining and reads very fast.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
Really enjoyed Avery & Julian's story. Tho it did take a little to get into this one for some reason. Still a great book. I thought they had lots of chemistry. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via bookfunnel.
Love this author, loved all of the books... but this one fell short.... like really short. How do you have a virgin who f*cks a guy with a monster cock and we don't capitalize on that? No surprise baby, nothing.... It started off really good and then after the first sexual encounter that was it. There was talk about all the amazing sex they are having but nothing in detail, just that it happened. He wanted her to call him daddy which I was all about but there wasn't anything else beyond that... we didn't expand on that kink, he didn't do anything exciting... There was more detail put into the book she was editing for a famous author and the romance took a back seat... I was really surprised and very let down.....

Oh so sexy, Julian unexpectedly falls for his best friend's daughter.
Avery has just gotten her degree to teach but jobs aren't readily available so she moves back home. She has just gone through losing her father and her mother hasn't adjusted well. Kevin had a long time best friend, Julian, when he hears that Kevin passed away calls Samantha his widow. She never cared for Julian because he partied, got drunk, almost got arrested all while Kevin was with him. They had fun together. But Kevin settled down when he became a father and Julian still played around and also started a business. They lose track of each other because Kevin was serious about being a father and a family man. Sam mentions to Julian that Avery is doing well but hasn't found a job yet so he feels he owes his best friend to help out his daughter and he offers her to come work at his new publishing company. Julian is an alpha so he tells her he'll see her there on her first day. He can't believe how beautiful Avery grew to be. He remembered when she was a little girl and would call him Uncle but once she went off to school never saw him at all and barely remembered him. Avery is more sedate being only 20 years old and having never been in a serious relationship. Julian has also never been in a serious relationship. But he finds himself wanting to take the role of taking care of her and having her in his life. He makes her his personal assistant so that she'll be close to him but also to start training her in his business and his dominating ways. Julian's character is very sweet but he knows what he wants in the bedroom or office and introduces Avery to it all. Wow. Hot and sexy. They do hit a bit of a road block that they have to work through and realize what is happening between them. The story is well written. You can't help but love Julian and Avery learning about a serious relationship. Would have loved a bit of a longer ending detailing their lives and even a child. But still a really good book. Definitely recommend this book.
I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through an arc.
A whole lot of hotness between these pages!!! A great job from B. B. Hamel bringing this older man and young woman together through what some consider taboo. Age is just a number when billionaire Julian falls for his late best friends daughter. Avery's life is turned upside down when she gets a call from "Uncle" Julian a year after her father's passing. Julian is a handsome, built older man offering her a job at his new publishing house as his personal assistant. She doesn't want a job out out pity or the guilt Julian feels from not visiting her farther before his death, but she is definitely in need of a job. The connection is not just sexual, Avery is intelligent, witty, funny and she is absolutely no pushover. Julian is shocked by his feelings of protectiveness toward Avery and his strong feelings of wanting to take care of her to the point of wanting her to call him "Daddy". When Julian puts Avery in charge of working directly with an up and coming indie author that Avery loves things do not go according to plan. That doesn't stop the chemistry between these two it only makes things hotter when Julian sees Avery in action. The future isn't something Julian thinks about until Avery, now he's making plans and Avery is very much a part of those plans. Julian and Avery have plenty of obstacles to get past but the most important is Avery's mother and her vehemence dislike of Julian and his past. When their secret romance is uncovered by none other than Avery's mother all hell breaks loose. Will Avery have to choose between her mother and the man she loves??? Will Julian give up on the one woman her has ever loved it will be let her mother's threats treat them apart. A page turning story with sizzling chemistry that bring two unlikely people together with a chance of forever happiness. A MUST read to one click!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my favorite collection.
Nothing hotter than an older man wanting to a younger woman's Daddy and taking care of her. Avery gets a surprise call from her "Uncle" Julian, her deceased father's friend. Julian wants to take Avery out to dinner. Julian is feeling guilty for not seeing his friend before he passed and that he hadn't contacted Avery or her mother, Samantha, in the year since he passed. Julian shocks himself when he offers Avery the job as his personal assistant in his new start-up publishing company. Avery is attracted to Julian but knows her mother hates Julian and doesn't know why. Julian is attracted to Avery because she is intelligent, beautiful and makes him feel things he has never felt before. Avery gives Julian her virginity, and Julian wants Avery to call him Daddy while he vows to take care of her. As Avery and Julian explore the sexual side to their relationship, they get to know each other. Julian believes in Avery's abilities and after she helps him land a hot, young author, Julian puts Avery in control of handling the new author. Julian thinks about the future and makes a proposal to Avery about becoming his partner in his publishing company. Will Avery be able to handle her new responsibilities within Julian's company? What happens when Avery's mother learns of Avery's and Julian's relationship? Is Julian willing to risk everything for Avery, or will he walk away? Can Avery and Julian find their happily ever after despite her mother's hatred of Julian? I really loved My First Daddy by B.B. Hamel. My First Daddy is full of HOT sex, a few twists and turns, drama, and laughs. A great book by a great author that will melt your kindle. I would definitely recommend getting My First Daddy by B.B. Hamel. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
Let me start by saying I’ve been here since book 1 of the Dark Daddies Series. Now that we are at book 7 I still don’t feel satisfied. I need more Daddy romances like this. When I first became addicted to B.B. Hamel’s books I didn’t actually realize how deep this obsession would become. But let’s get to the matter at hand. Avery is fresh out of college and trying to get her life back in order after losing her father just a short year ago. This is when she gets a call from one of her fathers childhood friends Julian. He was a bad boy and a player back then but extremely driven. He was constantly fueled by the fast life, the money and the women. However, Avery is about to change all of that. She is beautiful, funny, smart and he is drawn to her. He has this desire to fuck her, protect her and make her fall in love and doesn’t even understand why. Avery is just trying to make it fresh out of college and doesn’t realize that Julian may become her world. She takes a job offer from him because he keeps insisting and since she’s never had a job before she figures why not? She learns more about her self in the months getting to know and fall in love with Julian as he helps her understand how strong she can be even after such a great loss. Not many will approve of their relationship but, love makes you do strange things. P.S. I read an advanced reader copy of this book and then read it again when it came out, and this is an honest opinion. Much love ❤️ Kemora
Avery's Deceased Father's High School Friend Offers Her A Job, And Soon Sparks Start Flying
Julian White, forty-two year old successful businessman and one time best friend of Avery's recently deceased father, calls one night and asks her to dinner. Avery is twenty-two, a college grad, and hasn't gotten her act together since her father's death and her graduation. Julian offers Avery a job as his personal assistant at his publishing startup, and Avery eventually concedes and accepts.
Avery and Julian cannot deny their attraction for one another no matter how wrong it seems. Avery referred to Julian as Uncle Julian when she was little, he is now her boss, and he is twenty years her senior. Avery's mother hates Julian, blames him for being a bad influence on her late husband, adding to the couple's obstacles.
Avery struggles to find a role in the company and to be taken seriously, as Julian works endless hours while finding himself opening up to possibilities he never considered before meeting Avery. Their HEA is satisfying.
There were some minor errors missed in editing. One issue that bothered me was the marketing company that Julian had started up. In the beginning it is simply stated that it was sold, but later in the book Julian sees his former employees and it is suggested that he might possibly still own the company and only stepped back from the day to day management. It doesn't impact the story, but it is frustrating to come across confusing and inconsistent facts.
In LOVE, age is not a factor . . . but PURCHASING this BOOK is A MUST! With author BB Hamel’s usual aplomb, “MY FIRST DADDY” is a MUST-READ extraordinaire! It is not JUST a love story between a young woman, Avery, and her older billionaire boss, Julian. It is also about two people who must rise above the social noise and taboos to find a love that is so deeply fulfilling that they KNOW they have found in each other their soul-mate. Eloquently and descriptively written, Hamel’s prose will weave a web around her readers that entices them to leave their own realities and fall into the contemporary world with all the feels and wonderful characterizations that a GREAT ROMANCE provides. A novella in length, “MY FIRST DADDY” feels so much longer through Hamel’s masterful use of dual narration and the way she promotes the accelerated depth of Julian and Avery’s relationship through circumstances which build a durable trust. I voluntarily read an advanced copy of “MY FIRST DADDY” and this is my honest, voluntary review. As a practice, I do not give more than 4 stars to a novella, but “MY FIRST DADDY” is just too good to limit. So, that extra ½ star has to be added. It’s a short, thrilling roller-coaster ride through the lives and love of two amazing souls which once united will last a lifetime. I STRONGLY suggest you purchase your copy of “MY FIRST DADDY” today! Happy pages! 😉
Julian realises that he hasn't been in touch with his deceased best friend's daughter for over a year and gets in touch. In fact, 'Uncle' Julian offers Avery a job as personal assistant for him at his new publishing house she is worried that he has given her the job out of pity. But that's the last thing on Julian's mind. This older billionaire starts to fall in love with her but realises also that people will see any potential relationship between them as taboo - especially her vile mother! But his feelings for Avery far out weigh any worry about other people's feelings. There is so much energy and passion between them as well as witty dialogue and humour peppered throughout the book. Really their ages were just numbers but they were two people very much in love with one another - so who cares? This is a real page turner of a story within a great storyline by the best selling author, B.B. Hamel. This is book 7 of The Dark Daddies Series by her and I have read, loved and enjoyed every one of them. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended.
This is one hot story about Avery, 22 a college graduate who moves home with the passing of her father a year ago to help her mom and Julian, 40 her fathers best estranged friend who is a very successful businessman. When Julian reaches out to Samantha, Avery’s Mom she is shocked and surprised he offers a much needed job to Avery. Julian has Avery meet him for dinner and the instant chemistry between them is something neither saw coming. Avery starts working for Julian at his new publishing company and her life is turned around and upside down in so many ways! They find themselves in a relationship and keep it quite and Julian can not believe he has Avery calling him Daddy. It feels right and just what they both feel is right for them. Once Samantha finds them kissing in the office does trouble come into their relationship. Samantha can not let go of the past issues between Julian and her husband when they were younger. Julian knows he wants Avery no matter what and does what he can to keep her, right besides him! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Avery and Julian White. Avery has recently graduated from college with an English degree. She isn't sure what she wants to do with it and when he father suddenly passes away she know she had to come home to help her mom. With no job prospect on the horizon she doesn't quite know what she will do for work. When Julian call she isn't sure if he is offering her a job or just wants her for her body. Julian had this idea of the little girl not this beautiful woman who he sees before him. At first he does off her a job as a chance to payback his best friend now he wants more. Can they have it all or will they find it is more than they can handle when out in the light?
This is a super hot book. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will grab you on the first page and not let go till the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Avery gets a call from her father's friend Julian and he asks her to meet him for dinner. Julian was expecting a grown up version a the little girl that called him uncle not the sexy young woman that showed up. He knew he was in trouble but he made the job offer anyways. Avery accepts and its not long before temptation to be with Julian gets to her. When Things finally come to ahead with Julian and they are just about to be together he asks for her to call him daddy. Will Avery get a chance at Julien being her forever daddy? What will her mother say?
This is a steamy hot story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
What a hot read . Jullian has never believed that he could fall for anyone let alone his best friend daughter ,but everything is happen when the time is right . Avery just out of college she find that her dad's bestfriend could be more than just a friend to her the only thing she think anyone is going to have a problem with is age differences between them , but age is just a number when the heart find what it wants it not looking at age or anything else . Avery and Jillian find that the time they share together can turn into much more, and they could care less who doesn't like it . I received this book as a arc for a honest review and I can say that this book is worth a read the fellings you get off of Julian and Avery will have you turning the pages .
The story of Avery and Julian was a good one. About overcoming outside pressures and facing up and being honest with what you want.
Avery is young and just trying to find herself and make her way in the work world. She is challenged with family loss and drama, as well as work place and social pressures. It was great to see her come into herself and grow more confident as she met the challenges before her.
Jack was your typical older, more experienced, rich, bored man-but I liked him! I was glad that he was able to give Avery a place to grow and learn, and challenge her to take on difficult tasks. I liked that Jack stood by her no matter what was thrown in their way. He didn’t shy away from what he wanted or deny it. Despite what others would see or think.
First off, I know that there are different levels and types to kinks. I mean not every guy needs to be an alpha male or obsessively protective of their female. But for a title that has "Dark Daddies" in it; it wasn't really all that dark. There were only a few times with a swat here or there as being playful and surely nothing else other than Julian liking to talk dirty. Heck, Avery only called him Daddy in the office and maybe once or twice elsewhere.
I also think that it was a bad relationship from the start since the only times I found them to be sexual and have actual meaningful conversations, were in the office. Like they hardly went out together and when they did, it was about work. For almost 200 pages, I would have expected a better plot.
I have never given a one star before... usually if it’s not something I can get into I just don’t rate. To be honest I finished it in hopes the plot made up for the basic-ness of everything this book was. However that didn’t happen either.
It felt choppy, boring, and blah. This was my first book by this author and possibly my last. I’m sorry, because I know these books are creations of hard work, love, and a piece of themselves but this definitely fell flat on its face for me.
He didn’t earn being her daddy (in my opinion) and there was no real emotion or character building. I will say that the editing was pretty decent and the drama was believable, but still could have used something more.
I really enjoy BB Hamel’s books, and this one is no exception. The story is about Avery, a young woman starting out in the business world who goes to work for Julian, an older and very successful owner of a publishing company, who was a friend of her deceased father. Both characters are interesting and well described, and the plot follows logically, with a lot of sex and a growing level of affection between the two of them. There are some subsidiary issues that they successfully deal with as the story progresses to its conclusion. A very enjoyable book. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An Older Man Younger woman romance in the Dark Daddies Series by BB Hamel. This book was super hot in the collection. It deals with the dark romance between Avery, a young virgin and Julian, experienced older man who was Best friend with Avery's father. A age gap of 20 years, they never had the desire before, until they meet for the first time after Avery had grown up. Julian wanted to offer her a job after knowing her current life situation but offer more than her thought.
Too hot to read in place where started already and too warm for the places where the summer yet to start. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of the book.
Not to sure about this book, Julian was friend with Avery father, however he didn’t go to the funeral. One day he calls Avery up and offers her a job, than he starts flirting with her, one thing legs to another, Julian tells Avery call me daddy. Ok fine. He’s into kinky sex, this millionaire now wants to own her, buy her everything, but her never brings up her dad. IMO the book was a little off, at one point on their way to Avery’s moms house they an engagement ring because they are getting married.. ummm did I miss the proposal? Well no, they stayed up and discussed their future which is why he brought the ring. Again it seems like the mark was missed.
This is a great read and has some very down to earth characters. It includes a secondary character that is an author and kind of a little crazy, which is totally hilarious. I love how the story progresses with Julian and Avery becoming closer and closer until they can't get enough of each other and she's calling him "daddy". One major problem with their is relationship is her mother hates Julian. Will she tear them apart or make them stronger? You gotta grab this awesome book to find out. I highly recommend it as a must read!!!!
This was quite a quick read, and about what you would expect from this author. If you are a fan of this author I'm sure you will enjoy. I thought it had a good storyline with great characters, both Julian and Avery were likable characters. It had a interesting and enjoyable storyline. because it was quite a quick read it didn't particularly a great deal of depth to it. It had some small amount of drama, but on the whole was just a quick light read. for such a short book, it didn't skimp on steamy scenes which this author is known for. The humorous antics with a author was quite fun.
This is the seventh book in the “Dark Daddies” series, and is Julian and Avery’s story. Julian was Avery’s dad’s best friend before he passed, and she is shocked when he offers her a job as PA at his publishing company. Theirs’ is a taboo relationship as the older man / younger woman scenario, and they have many obstacles to overcome along the way. This is a well written story which had me enthralled throughout, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I recommend for all.
Avery is a recent college graduate trying to find her way. She's looking for work. She's also regrouping after the passing of her father. One day she receives a call from her father's estranged best friend Julian. A dinner meeting turns into a job offer. The job turns into flirting. Flirting leads to some kissing. But, wait. He's her dad's friend. This is weird. Or is it? It's not wrong that Julian wants to take care of Avery.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary review.
My first daddy is so hot be prepared for your kindle to over heat and your panties to combust. This story captivated me from the first couple of chapters and held my attention throughout the whole book so much so that I read it in one sitting. Julian and Avery's story is so good and I loved the dynamic between them both. The chemistry is sizzling white hot and Julian is the perfect daddy for Avery. You will all be wishing that you had a daddy like Julian after reading this book 😉.
LOVED IT!! Julian being the older cocky AM and Avery being the oh so sweet virgin, made for yet another great book from one of my favorite smut authors! BB Hamel has a way with putting a great story line together with just enough smut to make it juicy!!! I would definitely recommend this book along with the entire series. I was given this book as an arc to give my honest opinion on it's merit, and that's what I've done. Great job for sure!!
