Thorne Witches #6

Long Lost Magic

Rate this book
Nothing will keep this powerful warlock from the woman he calls his own.

He defied a goddess to bring her back.

After searching twenty years for the magical means to revive the love of his life from stasis, Alastair resorts to forbidden magic. But the hard-edged stranger he's brought back bears no resemblance to the woman he once knew.

The price was the loss of her soul.

Rorie wakes to find the world has moved on in the years she's been asleep. Nothing is familiar, and the man she once called lover seems cold and withdrawn. With a good portion of her former self missing, she finds the connection to her soulmate severed.

He'll stop at nothing to win her love.

Alastair is determined to restore to Rorie all she's lost--the missing parts of her soul, her ancestral home, and a wayward brother--even if he puts himself in the crosshairs of his greatest enemy to do it.

T.M. Cromer is a multi-award-winning sorceress of the written word and fearless architect of high-stakes paranormal romance. With a flair for twisty plots, slow burns, and swaggering heroes hot enough to scorch the page, she conjures stories that hook readers and refuse to let go. From her cozy PNW lair, flanked by two Hellhounds and an unholy amount of caffeine ambition, she weaves love, danger, and humor into every page. Whether it’s witches, sirens, or magical assassins, her characters never behave, and neither do her stories.

When she’s not dreaming up new ways to ruin her characters’ lives before crafting their HEA, she’s daydreaming about swimming with orcas or cackling over a particularly clever line of dialogue. Come for the magic, stay for the heartbreak, and maybe fall a little too hard for a man who only exists on the page.

T.M.’s stories are 100% certified organic, author-created content. No artificial intelligence was used in the writing of her books.

This one was the one that affected me the most emotionally! Alsstair is such a strong and wonderful character, and to see him fighting so desperately for his love just tore me apart.

I was very happy to have more Alistair time, as an important yet supportive character in the series it was nice to focus on him for this book!

Wonderful

In the beginning I though I knew what was going to happen, but I was surprisingly wrong. The book a couple interesting turns and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Happiness as last

I loved this one. Alister deserved his own story and it was a lovely ending to the set. However the author has cunningly left us another book in the form of GiGi and Rykers romance. Plus another fight to win to prevent further war. It's a great heart warming and suitably raunchy book. I hope the Thorne Witches never end

Update
Alister gets his story in this book but there are always complications. Can Aurora find her way back to him and to the land of the living. I'm actually re-reading all of the series and still loving them. This is one of the few series I've actually re read so that should speak for itself. Excellent books and very well written.

We finally get Alastaire and Aurora's story and it is a wild ride. Aurora, or Rorie as Alastaire calls her, is the perfect match for Alastaire. I love her wit and her humor. Rorie had to work through some things before she could love Alastaire as he deserved but when she got there, their love and devotion for each other was incredible. This book packs an emotional punch and not just with Alastaire and Rory. The book sets up GiGi and Ryker's story nicely. I can't wait to read it. I highly recommend this book and series. I also recommend the audio book. Narrator Abby Craden does a wonderful job bringing Rory to life.

Good lord

T.m. had me loving and hating some the characters. Aliaster is shown in a different light than in the previous book. Aurora is one witch you wouldn't want to come across. She is the female version of aliaster. She compliments him in the best ways. This book makes you want to take out the characters in some of the worst ways.

It's a definite must read. Do yourself a favor and read this book it will have your emotions s rolling like the characters.

OMG!

You out did yourself on Alisters story. My husband thought I'd lost my mind every time Id start laughing or crying. It really pulled the reader into really getting to know him as a person and see threw the tough guy exterior and into his true heart. I love the creative swear words! Gimme GiGis book now!

Cromer does an excellent job of creating strong characters in engaging stories. Although this is part of a series, it could be read as a stand-alone.
In this book, we get to learn more about Alastair Thorne, one of the family patriarchs, and we encounter Aurora for the first time. (She has been referred to in other books.)
As with any truly good book, I found myself immersed in the world of the book. It was an emotional roller coaster, but I really wouldn’t want it any other way.

Love! Love! Love!

As with every Thorne Witches book, this one did not disappoint. I loved reading the dynamics and struggles that ensued between Rorie and Alastair after she woke up. Seeing her try to come to grips with her new life was reminiscent of Autumn and Spring’s struggles to cope. I can’t wait to read Gigi’s book next.

Long Lost Magic by T.M. Cromer is the long-awaited story of Alastair Thorne. Ms. Cromer has once again given readers a book that will hold them captive from start to finish. This well-written book is a smooth read but you will want to keep your tissues near. Aurora has been brought out of stasis, but she's not showing much gratitude. Alastair and Aurora's story is loaded with drama, humor, heartbreak, sizzzzzle, suspense and of course magic. This is one of those books you'll want to keep so you can read it over and over. I enjoyed reading Long Lost Magic and look forward to my next book by T.M. Cromer. Long Lost Magic is book 6 of the Thorne Witches Series. It can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading the series in order for the background of all the characters...plus they are all magically delicious. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Such a fun series

In lieu of sounding like a broken record, this series is so much fun to read. The Thornes are a force to be reckoned with.

After all of the work the sisters have done to get the amulets, Alastair finally has what he needs to bring back Rorie. When she comes back, she's not the same woman. In this book we learn more about Alastair. He's been in the previous books but you only get bits and pieces of his story.

This book provides a conclusion of one story and starts another.

I've enjoyed this series. You should read the books in order.

Aurora (Rory) is finally revived but she is not too happy about it. Allister is devastated by her reaction. There is a lot going on behind the scenes in this story. Rory’s brother Jase is missing and Allister swears he will find him but Rory won’t let him go off alone to do so. Rory admits that she is not quite herself – Allister helps with that and they are getting their relationship back on track. Allister goes to see Delphine and learns that he will lose someone close to him. It is devastating when we find out who. Looking forward to seeing where this story goes from here.

Great

To me, this was above the previous books which had got a bit repetitive search for the artefact, face danger get with fated mate. This moved on the story quite a lot but there was a shocker in here that I was not expecting that has changed the focus of the books. Next book is pre-ordered. An improving series.

Treachery, love and magic!

The family expands and contracts in surprising ways. Trust and loyalty are questioned, long forgotten places are revisited, and stubbornness is a family trait.
