Material Girls #3

Crazy for You

Rate this book
I’m gonna kill my brother.
I should be in the office keeping our tattoo ink distribution company together. Instead, I’m stuck dealing with a 22-year-old, tatted-up Tinkerbell. Em Vicious is a walking, talking contradiction: a sassy, goth fairy with a body inked in flowers, stars, and jewels.
While she’s promoting Ambassador Ink, the flirtatious free spirit needs a babysitter. And thanks to my brother and his wife. who’s about to drop twins, I’m the one who has to accompany her during her tour as a guest artist at tattoo shops across the country over the next four weeks.
Sharing the same space with an immature artist is hard enough, yet something about her has me thinking about my own past.
When the barbs become banter, and desire flourishes from frustration, I should tell her to turn and walk away. I see too much of myself in her--and it scares me. I'm afraid the pressure of money and fame might lead her to the same place it led me--the peak of a suspension bridge and ready to jump.

CRAZY FOR YOU is a full-length standalone novel in the Material Girls series. Happily Ever After guaranteed. WARNING: Be ready for playful banter, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, and a sexy May-December romance.

I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

I have to give this one a 4.5, because while I loved the characters and the story, it ended a little abruptly. But, it was a great ending to the series!

Tattoos and attitude goes on a road trip

Emily's story is so emotional. She is the "wild child" of the three Common sisters and has been out of the house and supporting herself since she was a teenager. She owns her own very successful tattoo studio, parties, has some interesting friends, loves her sisters but has some major issues with her parents. She was assaulted by an older man that worked for her father's company when she was a young teenage. Afterwards there was a misunderstanding after she saw something which involved her father and the same man. From that point on the happy and bright girl was replaced with a darker and more aggressive/mad young woman. However, she is a very talented artist and uses that to make incredible tattoo's for people.
Zayne Vitale is an ex-soccer star who is a part owner of Ambassador Ink. He is also just about the complete opposite of Emily. He has to escort Emily on a four week tattoo tour to different cities as she represents Ambassador Ink.
Emily and Zayne may be opposites but their chemistry is amazing. They have witty banter along the trip and as they spend more time together it gets harder to deny their attraction for each other, even as their pasts loom over them and will need to be dealt with before they can have their own HEA.
Once again Sophia Henry has lovingly woven together a touching and deep story-line with wonderfully flawed but loving characters. The story of Emily deals with a heavy subject matter that may be a trigger for some readers, but she does write about it with a lite touch. So you may shed a few tears along the way when reading CRAZY FOR YOU, but you will also smile, laugh and witness some closure and for Emily. This allows her to accept love in her life and have an HEA with Zayne.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

I love this series.... the parents are the most evil but the girls are wonderful. Not only that but they find their perfect mates.

Zane is forced to work with Emilie since his brother's wife is expecting twins and they can not leave the new representative of their tattoo inks to travel alone. He thinks it will be not big deal but little does he know he is in for the best month of his life.

Emilie is not so happy to be saddled with some guy from HR on her first promotional trip but she is determined not to let him get her down.

They soon discover they both think they are unwanted by all and useful to few. Once they know each other's deepest secrets can they find love together?

This is a great book 3 in the series. I really think you need to read the first two books to get the whole picture but not 100% necessary.

Looking forward to more...

Strong and moving characters
I loved this story with its characters full of remorse from their past that they have not digested and who continue to guide and ruin their lives.
In the "material girl" series, Emily is the last, the least conventional of the Commons girls, a tattoo artist who left her parents at the age of 14, as well as high society.
She built herself and meets Zayne, who after stopping her career as a soccer player co-owns a vegan ink company and sponsor for tattoo artists. He is in control and has trouble with Emily who did everything alone and listens him rarely. But little by little they open up to each other, showing their dark side.
The two characters are very complex, they hate, appreciate and hate each other again, in their emotional excess, the management of the memory of their past.

This book, as the others in the series, be read as a standalone. Emilie and Zane have to work together on her tour to promote her as a guest artist at tattoo shops across the country. She is a sassy free-spirit; he just wants to get home to look after his business. This is a fun read as sparks fly between the two, but there are also some serious secrets that each of them have buried.

There isn't anything that Sophia Henry can't write and write well. This was the youngest Commons sister and was my favorite. I have a soft spot for tattooed pixies. And the romance with Zayne was pretty damn good. Loved reading this book and series.

I’m really happy that she ended up with Zain’s however, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious as to how her and Fozzie’s relationship develops whether it be as friends or not even that. I was hoping for a scene where they’d talk and hash out their issues.

Wow

Wow what a book. Being judged and hurt at a young age does something to a person. Finally finding out the truth. Finding love and happiness. Great book
