This book starts a couple of months after the events of the previous book Reflected, following the same wonderful group of people, with some additions. It is best read in order due to the main plot. As with the previous book, the author maintains the amazing prologue practice, following the history of Mila, Mira and Milena. And the author's writing is beautifully consistent and the style is uniquely hers.
The focus of the story is Selby, and due to her personal situation, the tone is immediately more serious. It was lovely to get to know her more and see her grow and a person, and evolve, shedding the secrecy and indoctrination imposed by her parents.
It was also lovely to see more of Tysen and his pack, as well as the rest of the crew. They are tirelessly working on solving the mysterious deaths and applying all the skills and knowledge at their disposal, as well as introducing new interesting friends to the cause.
Although Selby's story is resolved, the main plot remains a mystery. I am so curious to see where this is going and who is going to be the focus of the next book. And I am looking forward to find out. This was a great book, I enjoyed it greatly. The author has proven, once again, why she became one of my favourites after just a few pages.
