Rate this book
A Practical Guide to Counselling provides you with a hands-on understanding of how counseling works and how it can help people. Alastair Ross offers an invaluable guide to anyone interested in learning more about how counseling works - with expert advice on everything from the ethics of counseling to how to listen attentively and establish a relationship. You'll view things from both a client's and a trainee counselor's point of view, and will gain both a theoretical and practical grounding in the subject, building the skills to talk and listen to others, as well as determining whether counselling is something you'd like to pursue further.

A really good book! Can be a little bit confusing on the historical part, but the practical part is well written.
