Werewolves like you've never seen before. They don't howl at the moon, but they are deadly.
Twelve men went missing.
Six months later they awake from drug-induced stupors to find themselves locked in a lab.
And on the night of a new moon, eleven of those men, possessed by new--and inhuman--powers, break out of their prison and race through the streets of Los Angeles until they disappear one by one into the night.
Alpha Wolf, book 1 Olento Research wants its experiments back. Its CEO, Mika Lenna, will tear every city apart until he has his werewolves imprisoned once again. He didn't undertake a huge risk just to lose his would-be assassins.
However, the Lucidite Institute's main mission is to save the world from injustices. Their best agent, Adelaide Lewis, needs to find these mutated men and protect them and society, and fast. Already around the nation, wolflike men are being spotted. Attacks on innocent women are happening. And then, Adelaide realizes what her next step must be: She has to find the alpha wolf first. Only once she's located him can she stop whoever is behind this experiment to create wild beasts out of human beings.
Lone Wolf, book 2 When one man can't reconcile with the wolf inside of him, he knows all he can do is run. Take the wolf with him and run away from those he doesn't want to hurt. But will that be his greatest mistake?
Rabid Wolf, book 3 A string of murders involving women are making the residents of Los Angeles panic. They're calling the serial killer the "rabid wolf" because he tears his prey open by the throat and leaves behind a maimed body.
Bad Wolf, book 4 Mika Lenna, the CEO of Olento Research, won't be deterred. Yes, the Lucidites have the upper hand, but he has something better. The one thing that can really stop them. The potential to create the rivalry to any werewolf. Mika has crossed the final threshold of humanity to do something that no human would dare do. But if it pays off, then for him, it will all be worth it.

Made to Kill Box Set is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. Book 1. Alpha Wolf ( or Made to Kill): A Paranormal Science Fiction Thriller (Olento Research #1) written by Sarah Noffke is narrated by Elizabeth Klett. It is a pretty cool book. The men are all taken and put in this research facility for 6 months and experimented on. There are 12 of them. They are kept drugged. One of them has extra strength, after all the the experiments, busts them out, all but one that was asleep/drugged and they missed getting him out. Two gals from different institutes are forced to work together to find the men, the gals are on the good team and want to save the escaped men before they are found again. These two chicks are so obnoxious I want to slap them from here. The rest of the people at the institutes are great. The rest of the story you have to find out by reading yourself...not going to spoil it... Good story except for those annoying women! Ugh! The narrator did a wonderful job. Great voice for this book. 4/5 stars.
Book 2. Better Off Dead ( or Lone Wolf): Olento Research #2 by Sarah Noffke and Elizabeth Klett continues book one. Half the weres have been found and half are still to be found. Some have no idea what happened to them. It's interesting to see how each find their abilities. Some are just werewolves, some dream travelers, and some are now a hybrid human? Some have super-powers like abilities. The search is one to get the free one before others get them to do more studies. 5/5 stars. Lots of action!
Book 3. Hungry for Blood (or Rabid Wolf) Olento Research #3 by Sarah Noffke and narrated by Elizabeth Klett is a lot more suspenseful than the other books! One of the free weres goes on a killing spree so it is a bit darker. The suspense continues when Adelaide goes undercover in the other research group to spy. Very dangerous! 5/5 Stars! Could there be a cure for the werewolf change but would the risks associated with it be worth it?
Book 4. Bad Wolf (or Bad Blood) Olento Research #4 by Sarah Noffke and narrated by Elizabeth Klett is the final book in the series. This book really deals with a lot of dream travel, individuals issues, and the ending could not have been better! So much is tied up for good and bad. A great series. The narration was terrific all the way through! 4/5 stars.
This is the second to last box set in the Dream Travellers world. The reader is at the Lucidites Institute with Adelaide Lewis after her father Ren disappears or dies or moves into a different realm. (You'll have to make up your mind about that.) She is tasked with capturing a pack of werewolves created by Mika Lenna, said mad scientist, who likes to experiment on people, and to that end has kidnapped twelve men and created werewolves. He has also experimented on himself, giving himself various Dream Traveller abilities.
In this four book set, we are introduced to the werewolves a few at a time as they are either re-captured by Mika or the Dream Travellers after breaking out of Olento Research Labs. We learn their background, their strengths and insecurities, etc., and how they come to terms with their changed realities.
Overall, the series was quite good. I've always enjoyed Sarah Noffke's books. The narrater was good as well.
I loved this fast paced, unusual, thrilling series that captures the imagination and has you on the edge of your seat. It is full of excitement, intrigue, action, tension and has some great romance in it too. I loved the Ren touches, the unusual take on werewolves, the crazy cruelty of Mika and the great wold building. Adelaide really comes into her own in this series; you see her finally stop trying to be her father and begin to believe in herself. I liked the slowly developed changes in her and the growth of her relationships. Conner remains my favourite character in the series, he is flawed, intelligent, has depth and is very appealing. The characters and storylines are amazing and once started you will not put the books down until the whole set is finished. I really enjoyed this series and will look forward to more story's in this amazing world.
Another awesome series by the wonderfully talented Sarah Noffke! I loved Ms. Noffke's books about dream travelers & was afraid that I would never get the chance to read about them again. I was wrong!
This series combines the dream travelers with another of my favorite things to read about: Werewolves! However, these aren't your Lon Chaney type of werewolves. A dozen men are kidnapped & given treatments that not only turn them into werewolves; it also makes them dream travelers. Throw in a snarky Brit who just happens to be Ren's daughter & a villain you will love to hate & you have a great story!
I hope that some of these characters appear in more books by Ms. Noffke; they are just too great to not be developed more fully!
This boxed set collects all four novels in Sarah Noffke’s Genetically Altered series, which is part of her Dream Traveler universe. It’s an interesting world, and I always enjoy learning about different Dream Travelers’ abilities. This series is best enjoyed in order, so the boxed set is very convenient. In addition, although it’s not essential, I recommend reading Noffke’s Lucidites Series first so you have a better understanding of Dream Travelers before tackling this series.
I liked the premise of human men who have been genetically altered to become werewolves as well as Dream Travelers. Most of the characters had distinct personalities, and it was fun to learn about their powers, strengths, and weaknesses. I didn’t initially like the two main female characters very much, but they grow over the course of the story and become more relatable.
The story was interesting and filled with action, suspense, and surprises. I enjoyed watching the pack bonds and other relationships evolve. One weakness is that I wish the villain had been more nuanced and relatable. Mika Lenna was unrelentingly awful.
Elizabeth Klett did a good job with narration. She’s easy to understand, her pacing is good, and I enjoyed her distinctive character voices. This story works well as an audiobook.
I purchased the ebook and was given a free copy of the audiobook by the author. I volunteered to provide an honest review.
Genetically Altered, Complete Boxed Set was a great read by Sarah Noffke. This box set consists of four books: Made to Kill, Better off Dead, Hungry for Blood and Born Bad. This box set follows twelve men that go missing and six months later they awake in a locked lab. On the first new moon night, eleven of the men escape the prison with new powers and strengths. Mika is the CEO of Olento Research and created the werewolves. Now he wants them back at any cost. The Lucidite Institute is looking to protect these men and sends agent Adelaide to find them. I enjoyed reading this series that followed a pack of werewolves, both good and bad. I can't wait to read more by Sarah Noffke.
Let’s start with the fact that I’m a huge werewolf fan.
This fresh take on their creation sucked me right in. I’ve read quite a few of Ms. Noffke’s dream traveler books so I was also happy to see the return of familiar characters, especially Adelaide, who really comes into her own through this series.
As for the werewolves themselves, they are super well written, each distinct in the page. (I’m a big Conner fan!) I loved how their story arcs progressed individuality and as a pack.
I hope more gets written in this world and these characters make appearances!
Audiobook review: This audiobook is interesting and entertaining. Kidnapped men are changed to werewolves but the are not the run of the meal werewolves. Their special traits and unique personalities along with the snarky and sometimes harsh female counterparts make for a good storyline and captivating listen. The narrator did a nice job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This was a new series for me and I found myself enjoying the storyline the mystery of where the men came from and their story. I found myself enjoying the males storyline better than the chick, Adelaide. I apologize if the spelling is incorrect as I only listened to the book and didn’t purchase the ebook box collection. I found myself enjoying the narrator and following the journey as she was telling the story. I would recommend if you dig werewolves. I mean who doesn’t?
Alpha Wolf The author starts it off with a bang, men like wolfs breaking out, on the run, killing people and not understanding what is going on with them or the world around them. Olento wants their little toys back and will do ANYTHING to make that happen. Lucidite wants to help them but at what cost. She writes a suspenseful story with many twists to the plot leaving you hanging on every world.
The only issue I have so far is at the beginning of each chapter is a quote from the employee hand book. For me this takes away from the story just as I am getting into it. I think it would be a much better listen without that. With that said I am totally loving the start of this series and look forward to listening to more of it.
There was one place where the narrator repeated herself but you can hardly notice and it doesn’t take away from the story. I thought she did an amazing job from the emotion to the pain and everywhere in between.
Lone Wolf Out of all the books this one touched me the most and most likely the one I relate to. Connor is such a caring person, he doesn’t want to hurt anyone but he has no control. He goes back to his old ways as he tries to make a living, using drugs to control the beast in him. Lucidite wants to help, they need to find him for Olento does. Something happens that spins him more out of control leaving him thinking that maybe death doesn’t look so bad. Time is running out can the beast get control before he kills?
The quotes in this book I really enjoyed, I learned more about the men and their powers. I totally loved this story. I loved how the author brings the men together with conflict but at the same time heals their pain. I hate that some are lost but it makes the story more believable.
Rabid Wolf What you find between these pages is a man who loves his wolf, the control, strength and the power. He is on the hunt to make ever women who he feels did him wrong pay with their lives. Lucidite want to bring him in, put him in a control place where he can’t kill or hurt his self. Olento wants him back so they can make him their killing machine.
As new men are found others are lost, it is heart breaking. I have to side a little with Hunter some of these woman need to be taught how to treat other but I also feel some where just in his head. None deserved to die but Hunter is in so much pain it is like the wolf side makes it easier for him to show his hate and he really just wants all women to die.
As the plot thickens we learn more about each man and their special powers it is truly a wonderful series that pulls you in.
Bad Wolf
The end has come in more ways than one. I have to admit I didn’t want this series to end. As more wolfs are found it is a race to see who can get to them first. There are ones that have been taken back to where it all began. Now in the bad guys hand they are changed, leaving us wondering if they will be able to get to them, bring them home to and take out the lab and the bad man. There is a lot of action, danger with lots of twist and turns that keeps you very entertained. The quotes I really didn’t like at the start of each chapter except for book 2 I thought it added a lot to that book, but the rest I thought it took away from, giving you information you already knew. That is the only issue I have with this series. I know you are going to love it as much as I have.
I love how the narrator made me feel each of these men’s pain, lose and their trust issues. As you go through each book in this series she brings the men to life. The narration is done beautiful with powerful emotions, wonderful character voices with many different ranges that really pulls the listener in. There are no background noises, no volume changes just a very clean and clear audio that you get lost in. She is very easy to listen to, her normal voice is very pleasant as well as her characters ones, you know who is talking and what they are feeling. I have to say she totally blow me way with the emotion and passion she gives to this series. Each character voice truly fits the character. This series is the first I have listen to her work and look forward to listening to more of it.
It was exciting to see how it all played out, I loved the plot, the characters are outstanding. I love woman who can stand on their own with spunk, sass and make it fun. I totally love Adelaide and Rocks with their sassy ways, they dish it out but also take it which make them endearing. I enjoyed the conflict between each character, loved how they grow and found their way. Werewolves in this story really make you almost wish they could be real, they became one of my favorite characters, I loved getting to know them, watching them learn to deal with a new life, overcome issues and become better men. I totally hate that some were lost, I do understand why they died but they had so much to add to this pack. It pained me as much as it did their alpha. The ending was outstanding leaving you guessing how it would turn out until almost to the end. The closure of each character really adds to the story. The author gives you passion in more ways than one, filled with danger, suspense, humor, conflict, a little romance and a whole lot of excitement. I highly recommend that you give this author a chance. From the author to the narrator they gave me a story I had trouble putting down, I was hooked from the first page until the last.
I purchased this Audible book and listened to it on Audible. If you are bothered by Swearing, or derogitive name calling and insults, then pass this book by. One character is Very verbally insulting in the way she reacts to All other people she has to interact with. This is a Good story and boarders on Fantacy and Possible Reality with the Dream Travelers. I think this is a good story for most people to listen to or read.
So many things come together as you read it’s hard to put down “addy” learns about herself grows changes and finds out just how special she is not only are 12 handpicked men taken - how many survive- Mica is absolutely insane you will see just how - how many more people disappear
Missing for six months 11 men break out of a lab the turned them into werewolves. These books follow the men as they get out, find help in unexpected places, go back to find the one they left behind, and fight back against their abductors. Hard to put do good against evil and many losses.
Absolutely needed to read this after finishing REN’s series and story. I almost thought he was joking about Werewolves in the last book but, that happened. I hope to read more as it ended on a cliffhanger of sorts. Not a bad cliffhanger. The series ends satisfyingly and I loved it. I love to read a series with no plot holes and this is one of them.

Summary:
Received for an honest review.
Sarah Noffke has done it again. Her three series The Lucidites began this universe quickly followed by Ren that lead up to her newest series Olento Research. Adelaide has enough on her plate living up to being Ren's daughter then he had to go off and follow the woman he loved into the next life. Living up to someone whose knowledge was unparalleled was difficult for Adelaide to live up to and then Ren has passed along his level five werewolf case to make her life even more complicated. Add to that, Adelaide was assigned FBI Agent Rox Spear who was her irreverent behavior and shockingly inappropriate attire rubbed Adelaide the wrong way. All she has left is her father's book that seems to randomly open to pages with information that steers her in the direction she needs to go. Adelaide has to not only find the missing werewolves, but uncover who was the mastermind behind the plan before more people are hurt.
This incredible series included many characters form earlier series while adding new members creating an intricate and riveting story. The struggle between good and evil was challenged as the reader began to realize that the men may have been experimented upon, but their basic nature had not changed leaving them to struggle between their two sides, one human and one beast. Their creator Mika isn't at all happy and it determined to get his property back and all that is standing in their way is Adelaide and the Lucidites!
This audiobook book was incredible to listen to adding depth to the story as it unfolded.
I thoroughly enjoyed these books. For me, the storyline was fresh with a new twist on werewolves. The main character Adelaide is the exception to the rule in the dream traveling Lucidites. She is brash, insulting and straight forward and she he has a personal demon she's trying to deal with. In comes Rox. Also a “say it like it is” character, but, she is a good verbal sparing partner for Adelaide. A relationship I found quite entertaining. In all the books the Lucidites are trying to bring in the werewolves in the hopes to keep Olento Research from recapturing them. In almost each case the “good and bad guys” are going after the same werewolf at the same time. This was a bit too coincidental for me but then there would have been less action in the book. The end of the story could have been an easy or a difficult resolution. This series took the easy way. It felt a little abrupt but yet it was appropriate. There is also a twist at the end that could be the lead up to another book/series. Maybe it has already been written and I haven't located it yet. I would gladly listen to or read more books by Sara Nofke- I see she has other books involving the Lucidites.
The narrator (Elizabeth Klett) had many different accents to deal with. Not only American English and English but an English-speaking German accent, etc. Although the German did not sound correct to me (she did a way better job than I ever could) it did not detract from the overall story at all. All the characters voices were discernible and enjoyable to listen to. I'd love to listen to Elizabeth Klett again!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this unbiased review. Story 4/5 Narration 5/5
Alpha Wolf. After reading 16 books from author Sarah Noffke, the most recent being the concluding book in the Kurtherian Gambit series. You'd think I would be used to her writing, NOT. I'd gotten this book back in October & never gotten around to reading it, my loss! I started the book & liked it so much I went out & got the box set so I could continue reading the series. Lone Wolf. My seventeenth read from author Sarah Noffke, this book is as good as anything I've read from her. She's rapidly become one of my favorite authors. Rabid Wolf. My eighteenth read from author Sarah Noffke, she's rapidly become one of my favorite authors. Bad Wolf. My nineteenth read from author Sarah Noffke, & the concluding book in the series.Noffke has rapidly become one of my favorite authors. Well, I don't do spoilers so you'll have to buy the book (series), read the books (series), get into a good author, some good characters and good books as I have. I do have to say that after getting the audio box set while reading book one the Brit narrator was incredible & added greatly to my enjoyment throughout the remainder of the 4 books. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Werewolves and Mad Scientists Lex Luthor and The Joker have nothing on Mika Lenna when it comes to Archcriminal Mad Scientists. A thoroughly self-centered, self-important, powerful, and nasty villain, he pursues his quest to create monsters and become ever more powerful in his own person over the span of four novels neatly boxed for you so you can blithely skip from one to the next in your own pursuit of enjoyment. I have had the pleasure of listening to the AUDIO in which narrator Elizabeth Klett captures a range of accents from Cockney to German with various U.S. regional dialects thrown in as she explores the personalities and enhances the action as nimbly written by author Sarah Noffke, with style and wit. There is something here for everyone, from werewolves to dream travelers, an underwater facility of superheroes and a hidden-in-plain-sight superlab responsible for creating superhumans and the afore-mentioned monsters. A delightful romp!

Twelve men are abducted and turned into werewolves by Olento Research. When they are finally able to escape, it's up to the Lucidites to find them before they are recaptured and used for evil purposes.
It can be a bit daunting to delve into an audiobook of this length. The story was so fun, fast-paced and laced with action, humor and a little romance that I was engaged throughout. I especially enjoyed the lively banter between Rox and Adelaide, two tough as nails agents working for Lucidite. I think that they were the real heroes and I love to see women that aren't easily intimidated. Since there were so many characters, I was glad that the escapees were introduced separately so that I could keep up with everybody. With more than 20 characters, the narrator did a phenomenal job giving each one a unique voice and she moved the story along quite nicely. I really enjoyed Olento Research Series Boxed Set and would recommend it.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is my honest opinion.
This is a great series merging Sarah Noffke's awesome world of dream travelers with a world of twelve genetically altered men to make them dream travelers slash werewolves. Sounds outrageous, not so much when you read or listen to this series, this author can make anything happen and have it all sound perfectly normal. Not forgetting all the action and suspense that is also going on at the same time, oh and if you are already familiar with the dream travelers, yes Ren sort of makes a appearance, if you could call it that, he never could leave well enough alone. I really like all of these books, and can not wait to see what is coming next, this has become a world that I really enjoy escaping too, and narrator Elizabeth Klett has really spun a vision for me of the institute and each of the characters so that I feel as though I am there and a part of the Lucidites, and I would thank them both (narrator and author) for the escape time, it is awesome.
Werewolves of a different flavor! Olento is doing illegal testing... 12 men have gone missing! Those 12 men were the involuntary subjects of an experimental process that changed them into creatures not-quite human! The test subjects manage to break out 6 months after their abductions... They don't have an orchestrated plan, only the need to run and hide, scattering as fast as they can... These men have new abilities and new hungers... Olento wants their specimens back, but there is a third group playing in this high stakes game... Thus begins a fast-paced action adventure... Having the boxed set was great... because one character in particular had a very abrasive manner and by the end of book one I wasn't sure that I wanted to continue, but then book 2 started calling my name! Lol The overall series Arc is quite satisfactory and it has a quite satisfactory ending...
I've never understood how evil people manage to recruit people to enact their diabolical plans. In this book said evil person has experiments performed on unwilling people creating werewolfs.
The 4 books in this series follow the werewolves fight for freedom and safety. Along the way I found dry humor, amusing insults and a cast of characters I wanted to see succeed.
There's lots of action and twists as well as a well built world and characters with history and personality.
The narration is well done, the character voices are distinct and believable and the overall delivery was realistic and easy to listen to. I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an honest review.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I didn't finish this series. Maybe had I listened to a few of the books at a time instead of trying to go through this entire box set. I stuck it out for 21 hours, but just couldn't finish it. Going through each of the people that had been altered was just too tedious. Adelaide's character didn't really do it for me. The overall story was too disjointed for me. The narrator didn't do anything for me either.
The head of the Olento Research facility has kidnapped twleve men and now six months later, he believes that he will reap the rewards but things don't go as planned.
This engaging box set is filled with action and surprises
Elizabeth Klett did well with the narration.
Note: "This book was provided by the author at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review."
I listened to the audio and it was amazing! The narrator kept me interested all the way through. I had to get the books so I can read along when I could and I must say I am truly excited to find out what happens with the vampire!
Wow what a series to help you get lost in another world for a few hours. Fantastic author of Paranormal writing. Love anything by this author. Received a free first book but bought the series.
